Role purpose:

ShelterBox is striving to provide outstanding information systems and technology that will maximise our fundraising and operational capability through the implementation of new software and analysis solutions that support both our fundraising objectives and the efficient delivery of aid to our beneficiaries. Having recently gone-live with a new Dynamics CRM platform earlier this year, it is an exciting time to be involved with further developing and refining the solution to meet ShelterBox needs. As part of this process, we require a CRM Administrator to help with data health checks, data management and to work with the wider CRM team supporting Service requests.

Reporting to the CRM Manager, the successful candidate will operate within the CRM Team and will contribute effectively to help us develop and improve the CRM during this key phase.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with good CRM experience in an administrative role, who wants to play an important part in optimising and supporting Dynamics CRM.

This is a fixed term role at ShelterBox, and we are seeking a detailed oriented person who has experience of dealing with data health and data cleansing in a CRM. The successful candidate will work closely with the CRM Manager and the CRM Officer to improve the data health monitoring and data management of Dynamics CRM.

Main role and responsibilities

Duties will include but not be limited to:

· Working closely with CRM Officer & CRM Manager, executing data cleansing and general Master Data management tasks within Dynamics CRM

· Work with wider fundraising teams to offer assistance with their data cleansing tasks, structures and stewardship

· Maintaining a log of changes made/tracking progress

· Understand, investigate, report and seek to rectify data quality issues

· Developing data import templates (or changes to existing ones) to onboard data sources successfully - in collaboration with CRM Officer

· Champion data quality, highlighting issues when identified and proactively working to resolve them - in collaboration with CRM Officer

· Ensure the CRM fulfils all data collection requirements, ensuring regulatory compliance and adhering to Charity GDPR policy and processes at every stage, and contribute to making necessary changes.

· Support reporting development, ensuring data quality and reporting standards are adhered to

· Provide work cover for CRM Officer as and when required

· Keep within the charity's aims and objectives

· Support users, dealing with requests coming through via the Halo service portal

Any other duties as required which are deemed appropriate to the level and grade of the post.

The Director of Finance will be an integral part of the Senior Management Team, with responsibility for the strategic and day to day management of Cathedral Finances. They will support the ongoing development and implementation of its multi year financial plan to underpin the Cathedral’s Strategic Plan.

The postholder will ensure law and regulatory compliance and that all aspects of financial planning and management are conducted to provide accurate, relevant and timely financial information to both budget holders and Chapter.

Purpose of the Role: 

Fundraising plays an important role in the sustainability of Voice 21 and our ambitious new strategy aims to double our voluntary income to £2M by 2030. This new post of Fundraising Officer has been created to support the Head of Fundraising and wider leadership team with operations across high value fundraising streams – grant-making trusts and foundations, philanthropy and corporate partnerships. 

You will be responsible for researching potential funders, maintaining accurate records of fundraising contacts and activities, helping to build and maintain relationships with current and prospective funders, producing compelling reports for our funders and engaging communications for fundraising audiences, and creating and project managing inspiring engagement opportunities, including events, for current and prospective supporters.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working in a fundraising team – or else bring compelling transferable skills from a comparable, external-facing role. You will need to demonstrate that you can build and maintain great relationships with people at all levels, both internally with colleagues across the organisation, and with external high value stakeholders. Competent organisational skills are a must, with the ability to anticipate needs and exceed expectations. You will obviously need excellent communication skills too, including being able to write well and edit wisely (without depending on AI!) 

This varied role will offer plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and build your high value fundraising experience. It would suit an ambitious, motivated fundraiser who is driven by Voice 21’s mission and is looking to develop their career in the sector.

Key Responsibility of the Role: 

• Researching grant-making trust and foundations, maintaining a prospect pipeline, and developing and submitting funding applications.

• Managing reporting cycles and producing reports for funders.

• Maintaining the fundraising database (Salesforce), ensuring departmental data is accurate and up to date. 

• Organising engagement opportunities, including events, for prospects and/or funders, with oversight from the Head of Fundraising.

This job will require that you have: 

Essential: 

• Good understanding of the fundamentals of high value fundraising, with some previous experience working in a fundraising team to raise income to a target. 

• Experience of researching potential funders/donors and of successfully identifying great leads/prospects.

• Excellent written communication skills, with ability to translate complex information into simple and compelling narratives appropriate for the intended audience.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships at all levels. 

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative culture, working across lots of different projects/activities. 

• Self-motivated, comfortable working autonomously, and able to take ownership of own performance.

Desirable: 

• Experience of using Salesforce (or another CRM system) to manage contacts and pipelines, track performance, and report on outcomes.

• Knowledge of fundraising legislation, ethics, compliance, and data protection requirements.

Who you’ll work with: Your line manager will be the Head of Fundraising and you will work alongside a Corporate Partnership Lead. The fundraising team of 3 sits in the Operations Directorate.

Where you’ll work: All Voice 21 staff work remotely and this is a home-based role, with some travel expected to our London office (by Victoria station) and elsewhere for meetings. Occasional overnight stays may be required depending on where you are based. Voice 21 pays all travel and accommodation expenses. 

Contract: Permanent, subject to successful probation review after six months.

About the role

This new role is to support the growth of Marine Society apprenticeship and adult skills provision. · To grow the apprenticeship and adult skills provision in line with agreed annual recruitment and financial targets

· To maintain accurate records of business development leads and pipeline activity within the CRM system and to routinely report on these

· Attend relevant external boards, fora and industry bodies, as directed in order to promote maritime apprenticeships and training including; Maritime Skills Alliance, Workboat Association, MNTB apprenticeship committee and Port Skills and Safety

· To attend industry trade fairs and careers events to represent Marine Society. These include; National Apprenticeship Week, Seawork, International Boat Show

· To research and monitor market trends, employer needs and competitor activity to inform business development strategy

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a recruitment, sales or commercial role with a proven track record of achieving financial targets
• Knowledge of the maritime sector including roles, ranks and certifications in the near coastal sector

Essential Criteria:

• To be able to motivate service users to take on new challenges (ranging from learning to ride a bike, engaging with exercise for the first time to bigger adventures in the outdoors such as rock climbing, overnight camps and longer hikes/walks/expeditions)
• To maintain and service a small fleet of bicycles
• A knowledge of areas in the North East that would be suitable for outdoor pursuits including hikes, nature walks, camping and bike rides. We’re in close proximity to Newcastle upon Tyne, Whitley Bay, Tynemouth, Gosforth and wider areas around Northumberland, South Tyneside and County Durham.
• Can facilitate activities along our coastline including such activities as paddle boarding, kayaking, and doing cold water dips.

• Adaptability for times of inclement weather to keep our service users entertained and engaged with indoor activities in our dedicated space.

At the RSPCA Finchley Branch, we are seeking a practical and organised Branch Manager to support the delivery and development of our local animal welfare services and the oversight of our retail operations through the line management of Shop Managers.

This is a strategic role with a hands-on focus on operational delivery, responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations across animal welfare, retail operations through the line management of Shop Managers and volunteer activity. Working closely with Trustees, the postholder will help ensure that services are delivered effectively, safely and in line with our charitable objectives, with a clear focus on achieving positive outcomes for animals and the community.

The role is hybrid, combining remote working with regular travel across the branch area, including visits to our charity shops in East Finchley and North Finchley, as well as occasional in-person meetings and operational activity where needed to deliver the Branch outcomes in line with the agreed objectives and priorities.

In this role, you will

You will be responsible for the effective delivery of animal welfare outcomes across the branch, ensuring animals are safely supported from intake through to rehoming, while also supporting the RSPCA Inspectorate. Alongside this, you will oversee day-to-day branch operations, including managing a small team of staff and volunteers, overseeing the performance of the branch’s retail activity through the line management of Shop Managers to contribute to sustainable income.

Working with the Chair and the relevant Trustee portfolio lead, including the Treasurer, to ensure financial oversight, governance and compliance and to deliver the agreed objectives, and working with veterinary partners, staff and volunteers, other RSPCA branches as well as other charities, you will ensure that services are delivered consistently, responsibly and in line with the branch’s priorities.

You will be comfortable working in a role that combines strategic and operational responsibilities, and able to organise your workload effectively. You will have experience of coordinating services or operations and managing both staff and volunteers, achieving results through effective line management, and bring a genuine passion for animal welfare and a commitment to achieving positive outcomes through well-organised and consistent delivery. You will also have a calm and practical approach, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with staff, volunteers and the local community, and a strong commitment to delivering meaningful and lasting outcomes for animals.

Key Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to work with staff and volunteers at our established Christian recovery charity in Berkshire. You will provide direction, support and oversight on all aspects of HR management, including: recruitment; staff supervisions and appraisals; compliance with employment regulations; training; performance and talent management; grievance, disciplinary, and capability procedures; salary structure and employee benefits; and organisational personnel planning.

We do not currently have HR software, so reviewing our requirements in this area would be one of your responsibilities.

​As a small charity (c. 43 salaried staff and casual workers, plus volunteers), the role will require balancing practical tasks with management responsibilities. For the majority of the working week, you'll be based in the office (a lovely rural setting near Twyford, Reading) and, being situated within the rehabilitation centre, you will have daily contact with those men whom you are helping. They inspire and motivate us just as much as we seek to encourage and support them. (Some remote working might also be possible.)
