Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and inquisitive Data Analyst to join our Translational Research team.

This role will support the generation, interpretation, and communication of research insights derived from a range of healthcare, clinical, patient-reported, and real-world datasets. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to help transform data into meaningful evidence that informs research, healthcare decision-making, policy development, and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis, Feasibility and Insight Generation

· Analyse healthcare, clinical, patient-reported, registry, and other research datasets to identify statistically significant trends, patterns, and meaningful insights.

· Support the development of evidence and analytical outputs that inform research programmes, strategic priorities, healthcare decision-making, and external collaborations.

· Apply appropriate analytical and statistical methods to answer research and business questions.

· Interpret findings and identify their implications, opportunities, limitations, and areas requiring further investigation.

· Contribute to the evaluation of interventions, programmes, treatments, services, and healthcare innovations.

· Support feasibility assessments for proposed projects, including data availability, cohort size, eligibility criteria, survey feasibility and analytical complexity.

· Support cohort identification, eligibility checking, segmentation and participant/sample selection for studies.

· Support data cleaning, transformation, validation and documentation across datasets.

Reporting and Communication

· Prepare clear, accurate, and engaging reports, summaries, dashboards, and presentations for a range of internal and external audiences.

· Present complex analytical findings in formats that are accessible to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Support the development of evidence-based communications, publications, grant applications, and research outputs.

· Work closely with colleagues to ensure insights are translated into actionable recommendations.

· Contribute to client-ready reports, dashboards, slide decks and summaries, ensuring findings are accurate, clear and appropriately caveated.

Collaborative Working

· Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues and external partners.

· Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Health Informatics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Life Sciences, Economics, or a related discipline.

Experience

· Experience analysing and interpreting data to generate insights and support decision-making.

· Experience working with structured datasets and producing reports, dashboards, or analytical outputs.

About the Role

As a IDVA you will provide high quality support to victims of domestic violence and abuse. You will deliver and provide support in five key areas to support victims to:

• Feel safer
• Feel informed about their rights and the criminal justice system
• Feel listened to and heard
• Be able to implement healthy coping mechanisms
• Be connected with services who are available to help them

Key Responsibilities:

• You will provide appropriate non-therapeutic support to victims of domestic abuse via their preferred contact method.
• Undertake needs and risk assessments to develop tailored individual safety and support plans to address the specific needs of the victim.
• Use a bespoke case management system to maintain accurate and confidential record keeping and contribute to the collection of outcomes.
• Liaise with the police, social services, CPS, and other agencies on the client's behalf, with the client's consent maintaining confidentiality
• Provide information to victims to enable them to make informed choices about their future options. Ensuring that the voices, needs, rights and legal entitlements of older people are heard and understood by all individuals and organisations.

About You:

Ideally, you will hold an approved and accredited IDVA qualification (or you must be willing to work towards one)

You will need:

• A strong understanding of domestic abuse and violence and the impact this has on victims.
• Experience of working with victims of crime (preferably domestic abuse) including completing risk assessments and safety planning
• Experience of managing a caseload and keeping clear case management records.
• Experience of adapting communication styles to be able to effectively communicate.
• An understanding of trauma informed practice and how to implement this within your work
• A through understanding of the criminal justice system and the Victim's Code
• An understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and other legal requirements
• Good IT skills including experience with working within bespoke case management systems and using Microsoft Office Packages.
• Organised and methodical approach to work with the ability to plan, prioritise and organise workload

About the Role:

As a CYP Triage & Early Intervention Officer, you will be the first point of contact via telephone, text or email for children, young people and their parents/carers referred to our service. You will conduct comprehensive impact and risk assessments, provide immediate and short-term interventions, and ensure that each young persons receives tailored support that meets their individual needs. The role may require some minimal travel across Hampshire.

As a Triage & Early Interventions Officer you will:

As a Service Delivery Assistant, you will provide high quality administrative support to the service. We are looking for a resilient and dedicated individual to join our Avon & Somerset team as Triage and Early Interventions Officer, working within the VS team as part of the Avon & Somerset Victim Service partnership.

The service provides support across the whole geography of Avon & Somerset. This role involves making initial contact with victims of crime and Anti-Social Behaviour and providing initial support in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. The role is full-time, working 5 days a week from our Bristol office.

About the Role:

You will provide high quality support to all victims and witnesses of crime and Anti-Social Behaviour, leading on completing initial impact and risk assessments that are comprehensive and holistic. You will also you will contribute to cover for the Helpline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for service users referred in to the service, completing comprehensive impact and risks assessments using agreed processes and a tailoring the response to each individual's needs.
• Manage a caseload of service users who require more immediate and short term interventions, referring on those with more long term needs either internally or externally.
• Develop support plans where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service and provide accurate and timely performance information for internal and external use.
• Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns including both child protection and vulnerable adult issues.
• Ensure that everyone is aware of their rights under the Victim's Code of Practice and the Witness Charter..
• Comply and keep up to date with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures, including data protection legislation, confidentiality.
• Work as part of a team to ensure that all outcomes and Key Performance Measures are met relevant to the local contract.

Ideally you will have:

• Experience of delivering a service and working directly with service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting
• Experience of working in an outcomes focused service
• Knowledge of the criminal justice system and the impact of crime
• Knowledge and understanding of Domestic Abuse processes and services
• Experience of engaging with vulnerable victims of crime who may have complex needs

You will need:

• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Competent IT skills, able to use generic systems.
• To work effectively both as part of a team & independently
• To develop & maintain partnerships with external organisations.
• The ability to undertake impact & risk assessments.
• Knowledge of safeguarding issues & legislation related to child protection & vulnerable adults.
