Bradford Producing Hub is an artist-led charity working to dismantle barriers in the arts and build more equitable systems in their place. Our vision is a just and joyful cultural future – powered by people, rooted in place, and open to all.

We support artists and creatives through development programmes, sector advocacy and strategic partnerships. We work locally in Bradford and influence nationally. 

Who we’re looking for

We’re particularly interested in people with experience in:

• Chairing, or an interest in developing into a future Chair role
• Arts and cultural leadership
• Being an independent artist or creative practitioner
• Charity finance and accountancy
• Fundraising and charitable giving
• HR or legal practice
• Heritage, cultural building management and/or capital development

If you don’t have the specific experience listed above, but your values and outlook closely align with the work of Bradford Producing Hub, we’re very much interested in hearing from you.

We are also actively seeking voices that represent the Bradford district, and we particularly welcome applications from people from the Global Majority*, including Black, Asian and ethnically diverse communities who are underrepresented in arts leadership and governance. We equally welcome applications from people who are LGBTQIA+, disabled**, and/or from working-class or low socio-economic backgrounds.

What does being a trustee involve?

Trustees shape our long-term strategy, influence cultural policy, and hold the organisation to account in line with our charitable aims.

You don’t need previous board experience. Collective leadership at BPH is built on shared responsibility, openness and learning together. We provide induction and ongoing development and training.

Commitment includes:

• Around four board meetings per year
• Preparation and reading in advance
• Occasional additional support or sub-group involvement

While the role is unpaid, we cover expenses and provide a role that offers valuable non-executive directorial experience, which includes:

• Professional skills development contributing to career enhancement
• Personal fulfilment through volunteering your time and expertise to an organisation you value, supporting it to realise its goals
• Expanding your professional network while working with like-minded people to support the creative and cultural sector in Bradford

SUNSHINE is a small but ambitious grassroots charity on a mission to reduce loneliness and help people feel truly seen, valued and connected. Every week, our volunteers bring warmth, joy and human connection to people who feel isolated, overlooked or alone.

As we prepare to launch publicly, we’re looking for a Community Engagement & Outreach Lead who can help us take SUNSHINE into the heart of London’s neighbourhoods — building relationships, raising awareness, and connecting with the people who need us most.

Your work will help someone who feels invisible discover a place where they belong. Your conversations will open doors. Your presence will bring hope. This is community work at its most human.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Bringing SUNSHINE Into the Community

• Build warm, genuine relationships with local groups, community centres, libraries, faith spaces, youth hubs and grassroots organisations.

• Introduce SUNSHINE’s mission with kindness, clarity and energy.

• Help us become a familiar, trusted presence across London.

2. Reaching People Facing Loneliness

• Connect with individuals who may be isolated, anxious, grieving or lacking confidence.

• Share information about our programmes and volunteer opportunities in a gentle, accessible way.

• Help people take their first brave step into community.

3. Creating Local Partnerships

• Identify organisations who share our values and want to collaborate.

• Explore opportunities for joint events, referrals, outreach sessions and community activities.

• Build a network that strengthens SUNSHINE’s impact and reach.

4. Representing SUNSHINE With Warmth & Joy

• Attend community events, fairs, open days and local gatherings.

• Speak about SUNSHINE’s work with authenticity and movement‑energy.

• Help create a buzz around our launch and ongoing projects.

5. Supporting Our Growth Across London

• Map out key neighbourhoods and communities we should connect with.

• Help shape our outreach strategy as we grow.

• Ensure SUNSHINE is reaching people who need us most.

• Location: Across London + remote work

Upcycle Africa delivers an integrated, circular solution that transforms plastic pollution into affordable housing, dignified jobs, and sustainable local economies.

Africa faces interconnected crises of plastic pollution, unsafe housing, and high youth unemployment. In Uganda, hundreds of tonnes of plastic are generated daily, with most ending up in drainage channels or burned, leading to toxic emissions and frequent flooding. Simultaneously, millions of low-income households live in homes vulnerable to extreme weather, while the youngest population in the world struggles to find formal, dignified employment.

Upcycle Africa tackles these challenges through a community-led circular model. We establish collection hubs where youth and women are trained to process waste into raw materials. These materials are then used to manufacture eco-bricks and modular components for durable, flood-resistant, and thermally efficient homes. To date, we have diverted over 3 million plastic bottles from the environment, constructed 300 eco-homes sheltering 1,800 people, and integrated 2,500 waste collectors into safe, green value chains.

About the Role

We are looking for a creative and strategic Social Media & Digital Marketing Manager to help elevate Upcycle Africa’s global presence and strengthen our visibility among investors, partners, and impact communities.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and manage a consistent social media strategy
• Create engaging content (LinkedIn, Instagram, X, etc.)
• Share impact stories, project updates, and milestones
• Support campaign visibility (including Change 100)
• Improve engagement and audience growth

Ideal Background

• Experience managing social media for brands or startups
• Strong storytelling and content creation skills
• Understanding of sustainability or social impact space

Expected Impact

Stronger visibility will help attract investors, corporate partners, skilled volunteers, and global recognition.

Minimum Hours per Week:

4-6 hours per week

Taunton Brewhouse is looking for trustees from all backgrounds.  Key is sharing our vision for a bold, brilliant cultural venue in Taunton, adding to our existing skills and expedrience and prepared to to play an active role in meeting the challenges ahead.

If you have experience in general management and/or in HR, marketing or fundraising do get in touch.   We also seek a lead trustee on finance - please see separate announcement.

As a trustee, you'll share responsibility for:

• agreeing strategy and goals for Taunton Brewhouse
• appointing and setting salaries for senior management
• giving oversight and support to management
• paying attention to financial management
• ensuring due diligence in all regulatory matters including safe-guarding
• ensuring a robust approach to management of risk.

You'll attend Board meeting although much work is carried out in projects or committees.  You'll be an ambassador for Taunton Brewhouse and support our wider endeavours through attending press and community events.

There are 5 formal meetings pa held in evenings at Taunton Brewhouse.  Other meetings are generally in the day and are organised around the diaries of those involved.  We also aim for an annual 'away-day' to enable trustees time to reflect, plan and develop the organisation and themselves.

Please note that exceptional expenses are paid by prior agreement.

The difference you will make to cats and people

As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public. Our fundraising team leaders have the exciting and varied role of inspiring our fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events. Using their passion and imagination, they oversee a small team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Our fundraising team leaders support their team of volunteers in all aspects of their roles, making sure our volunteers are happy, confident and supported.

You can expect us to

What we need from you

You'll be:

• supporting and encouraging a team of fundraising volunteers
• planning fundraising events and activities with your team
• allocating tasks before and during fundraising events
• keeping financial records from fundraising events
• encouraging and promoting a professional image of Cats Protection
• following policies and guidelines and ensuring licences and permits are obtained for events

Time expectation

Our fundraising team leaders usually spend three to four hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.

Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, Cats Protection helps thousands of cats every year. Our fundraising volunteers play a vital role in making this possible. By using your passion for cats and people, you’ll help raise the funds needed to support more cats and kittens in need.

As a fundraising volunteer, we’ll support you to get involved in a way that suits you best. Whether you enjoy organising events, fundraising online, promoting activities on social media, helping with administration, or coming up with fresh ideas — there’s a place for you here. Whatever your skills or interests, this could be the perfect role.

What we need from you

This is a highly flexible role, and you can choose how you’d like to get involved. Opportunities include:

• Face-to-face fundraising – organising or helping at fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, and monitoring collection tins
• Online fundraising – setting up online appeals and writing engaging cat case studies to maximise donations
• Marketing and promotion – spreading the word about fundraising activities via social media and local press
• Administration – processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, and completing Gift Aid paperwork
• Championing our work – helping to develop new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement
• Photography – capturing images of cats in care, cats we’re helping, fundraising events, and all things Cats Protection

Time commitment

This role is flexible and designed to fit around your other commitments. You’ll be part of a friendly team raising vital funds — and having fun along the way.
