What You’ll Do

As a Meet & Greet Volunteer, you’ll be a friendly first point of contact at our day centre, helping to create a safe, welcoming and well-supported environment for people living with dementia, their families, and visitors.

You will:

· Welcome clients, visitors, and family members as they arrive

· Help maintain a safe environment by being present and aware of who is entering and leaving the centre

· Gently support clients to remain within safe areas if needed

We are looking for enthusiastic Arts and Crafts Volunteers to help provide meaningful companionship, creativity, and support at two of our Extra Care services in the London Borough of Brent. Volunteering with Creative Support is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of people with support needs while working alongside our team to deliver truly person‑centred care.

We are seeking individuals who are creative, patient, warm, and approachable, with a genuine interest in supporting others. You don't need to be a professional artist, but you should enjoy arts and crafts, be enthusiastic about sharing ideas, and be able to encourage participation in a relaxed and inclusive environment. If you can spare a couple of hours and are able to volunteer on a regular basis, we’d love to hear from you.

Activities might include painting, drawing and colouring activities; card-making and seasonal crafts; textile-based projects such as knitting and sewing; decorative and creative crafts; workshops linked to cultural events, celebrations and holidays; collaborative art projects and displays; and supporting residents to explore new creative hobbies and interests.
