Role Description
The Board of Directors is opening up the opportunity for new Trustees to join MYH. If you are passionate about making a difference and have the skills, knowledge, or experience to support MYH during an exciting period of growth, we would love to hear from you.

1. Future Chair of Trustees
We are seeking an experienced strategic leader who may be interested in progressing into the role of Chair of Trustees within the next 9–12 months, following a planned leadership transition. Previous Chair, Board, Non-Executive, or senior leadership experience would be highly valuable.
2. Governance and Organisational Oversight
We are also looking to strengthen Board capability in charity governance, legal and regulatory compliance, safeguarding, risk management, HR oversight, and
organisational policy development.
As MYH continues through a period of growth and organisational development, these
appointments will play an important role in supporting the charity’s long-term sustainability, accountability, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
As a Trustee of MYH, you will work collectively with the Board to provide effective governance, strategic direction, and oversight to support the charity’s mission and long-term sustainability. Key responsibilities include:

Position Overview
An exciting and unique internship opportunity to work closely with key senior operational staff in a respected UK international development charity; this position has strong vocational content for anyone looking to break into the international development sector with future possibilities of progression into roles within the UK and/or Madagascar.

Responsibilities:
Supporting the Programmes & Partnership Manager in securing trust and foundation funding, which will include: performing donor research; drafting, proofreading, and editing grant applications and reports (in part or in full); and ad hoc administration relating to donor management.
Supporting the Corporate Liaison Officer to secure corporate funding, which will include: researching potential donor companies; supporting corporate facing marketing materials; and supporting creation of report and proposal materials.

Desired Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Qualifications
Hold or be studying towards an undergraduate degree in or relating to international development (or have equivalent professional/experiential background).
Knowledge and/or keen interest in development and/or conservation issues facing least developed countries such as Madagascar; previous experience living or working in a developing country would be an asset.
Knowledge and/or keen interest in at least one of SEED Madagascar’s five core areas (community health; sustainable livelihoods; environmental conservation; education infrastructure and water, sanitation and hygiene); previous experience of community-based work would be an asset.
Excellent analytical skills and ability to gather and assimilate information from various sources, compile documents (reports and proposals), and identify lessons learnt and best practice.
Sound ability to adapt material for different audiences.

Behçet’s Patients Centres (BPC), a charitable company, was formed in 2011 to provide the specialist, multi disciplinary care for patients.
We are seeking to recruit a Finance Director to our Board in order to both increase our experience and skills base and to facilitate effective succession management. This is a volunteer role that offers rewarding experience and the chance to make a difference in the lives of those who are affected by this rare condition.
This is a highly autonomous role that will make a big difference to the Board of Directors and their purpose to provide a service to one of the rarest patient groups in England. We’re looking for someone who can come in and help us build on our achievements and do things even better. You will be responsible for the financial management of the charitable company to ensure we successfully deliver our contractual commitments and thus influence the future of our funding, (we have a contract which runs until March 2028). You will play an important role as a member of the Board of Directors, ensuring they are guided by your financial expertise. This will involve preparing budgets; paying salaries and finances owing to HMRC and invoicing the NHS. We also work collaboratively with Behçet’s UK, the registered charity for patients with Behçet’s Disease and you’ll be building relationships with that charity.
The time commitment for this role is around 2 to 3 days per month on average, with extra time needed around budgeting and year end accounts.

Rather than functioning as a wellbeing app, this pilot measures team-level risk through short anonymous check-ins using validated psychometric tools, including burnout, psychological safety, and work-based needs satisfaction measures. We are at the very beginning of an extraordinary journey — building a prevention‑focused, non‑clinical charity dedicated to supporting men on their mental wellbeing and self‑improvement journey. Through interactive, action‑based programmes, we give men the tools, skills and approaches they need to navigate life with strength, clarity and resilience.
But to create real change, people need to know we exist. They need to feel our energy. They need to hear our mission. And that’s where you come in.

As our Marketing & Communications Volunteer, you won’t just be “promoting a charity” — you’ll be helping to spark a national conversation about men’s mental wellbeing. You’ll be the heartbeat behind our public voice, shaping how the world sees us, understands us and connects with our mission.

Create powerful, positive messaging that resonates with men.

Craft content that brings our mission to life across social media, email and community channels.
