Job description

Help Build the Heart of Urban Youth

Urban Youth is preparing to launch a series of youth work pop‑up drops across the city — but none of it can happen without a strong, well‑run volunteer team behind the scenes.

We’re looking for a Volunteer Volunteering Manager to help us build that foundation.

This is a chance to shape something meaningful from day one.

What you’ll lead

  • Designing and setting up our volunteer programme

  • Recruiting passionate volunteers from across the community

  • Creating a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience

  • Managing volunteering schedules and rotas

  • Ensuring each youth pop‑up has the right team in place

  • Supporting volunteers so they feel valued, confident, and ready to make an impact

Who this role is perfect for

Someone who:

  • Loves organising people and systems

  • Enjoys building structure where there isn’t any yet

  • Has a talent for bringing out the best in others

  • Wants to play a key role in launching a new youth initiative

  • Believes in the power of community and collective action

Why this matters

Every young person who walks into our pop‑ups deserves a safe, supportive, energising space. Your work ensures the right people are there to make that happen.

You won’t just be managing volunteers — you’ll be building the engine that powers Urban Youth.

If you’re ready to use your skills to create real change, join us as our Volunteering Manager and help launch something extraordinary.
