The Role
While our sustainable travel initiatives fund our ongoing social operations, we are seeking a highly strategic Grants & Bid Writer to spearhead our external funding strategy. You will help us scale our impact by securing social enterprise grants, community development funds, and innovation awards.

You will be responsible for:

• Strategic Bid Writing: Translating our complex dual-impact model into compelling, successful grant applications for social enterprise and community impact funders.

The Vacancy

An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to be the first Deputy Chair of the Stationing Strategy Committee. This Committee, which will replace the Stationing Committee, will provide a strategic overview of stationing across the Connexion, for all ministers (deacons, presbyters, probationers and ministers of other Churches and Conferences).

The Deputy Chair supports the Chair in ensuring the effective functioning of the SSC, leads operational coordination and specific delegated workstreams, and provides continuity of leadership by deputising for the Chair when required.

The Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) is seeking an exceptional individual to join its Board of Trustees as Honorary Secretary, a pivotal governance position at the heart of a respected UK professional body and learned society. As Honorary Secretary, you will contribute at a strategic level, helping to ensure strong governance, supporting effective Board leadership, and shaping the future direction of the charity with real impact across the UK healthcare system.  You will work closely with the President, Trustees and CEO, contributing to strategic decision-making and helping to ensure the Board operates effectively and transparently. 

IPEM operates as a professional body, a learned society, and a registered charity, working across hospitals, universities, and industry. With over 4,700 members working across healthcare, academia and industry, IPEM plays a critical role in advancing physics and engineering in medicine to improve patient outcomes and transforming lives.

This is an unpaid role, with expenses paid for travel and sustenance for in person meetings. We anticipate a time commitment of no more than 12 days per year. It's essential that you are not a member of IPEM and eligible to become a Trustee. This is a 3 year term, renewable once.

By leading our marketing team, your impact acts as a massive multiplier. You will directly drive the success required to scale the 'Made From The Mekong' project. This initiative delivers digital literacy and English education to learners across off-grid villages in Laos, while simultaneously funding a circular economy that repurposes river plastic.

Role Logistics: This is a fully remote, flexible volunteer role (4-6 hours/week). You will be managing other volunteers, not paid employees.

 What will you be doing?

We are looking for a skilled volunteer Front End WordPress developer to join our team of volunteer designers, developers and copywriters to recreate and redesign our existing website.

This is a remote role and the successful candidate will be working closely with the designer, backend developer and stakeholders to redesign the charity website according to Figma designs and accessibility standards.

Founded in 2013, Release Counselling and Therapy for Women is a charity that has supported the mental health of thousands of women across Sussex.

Over the last decade, we have developed a skilled and experienced therapy team, who offer a range of services to help women address the issues life throws at them.

Our support is unique as everything we do is created and led by qualified counsellors, and we have become best known for our Therapeutic Groups and Wellbeing Days for mums.  We also run a 1:1 counselling service for women, supporting them through those other challenges in life and are in the process of setting up couples counselling.

We are looking for qualified female counsellors or EMDR therapists to provide 3 or more 1-1 or couples therapy online and to deliver weekly sessions for up to 18 weeks for 50 minutes. Counsellors can join an optional peer supervision group and our quarterly team catch up.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for a volunteer who:

Deliver counselling sessions via our online system Cliniko.
Write factual client notes that are stored within Cliniko.
Raise any safeguarding issues with the Clinical Lead.
Skills

Please note we do not have a student counselling placement as all of our counsellors are qualified.

Qualified counsellor/CBT therapist at a minimum of level 4 from one of the below-accredited organisations
Registered practitioner with BACP, UKCP, BABCP, BPS or HCPC
Current DBS check or willing to have one carried out
Experience of safeguarding procedures
Experience working with female clients with a range of issues

Our social media volunteers use their passion and knowledge of social media to promote the activities of local volunteer teams though various channels. They directly help cats by raising awareness of Cats Protection. A higher profile can help us raise the funds we need for our work, ensure people know they can adopt a cat from us, help promote neutering and help as many people as possible learn more about feline welfare.

Our partner is an international development charity working across sub-Saharan Africa to support people with limb loss through access to prosthetic services, peer support, and sustainable locally led programmes.

The Treasurer will work with the Board, Director and a part time accountant to oversee the charity’s financial management and governance. Responsibilities include reviewing management accounts and budgets, supporting the preparation of annual financial statements, chairing the Finance Committee, and advising the Board on financial strategy and risk.
