​The Biochemical Society are seeking a Training Manager, on an 18-month Fixed Term contract to support the Biochemical Society Training programmes.

Training Manager role is an exciting opportunity to lead and deliver on agreed strategy across our current and future programme of training events, activities and resources, and plays a key role in taking the Society’s training programme forwards, focusing on the delivery and development of existing training programmes, the creation and implementation of exclusive members-only training opportunities to enhance our membership offering, and for devising and implementing new training courses by working with volunteers to develop appropriate content.

Reporting to the Director of Events and Training, this role will set up and lead all stages of delivering new training, from conception to delivery, working with subject matter experts to explore new ideas to provide surplus-generating training for existing and new training programmes by gathering insight from members, other organisations and wider markets to understand training needs and inform the design of programmes.

Suitable candidates will have experience delivering income generating science-based training programmes, using Learning Management Systems and have excellent interpersonal skills, working on complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.

Operation Christmas Child UK (OCC) has implemented a strategic volunteer ministry, investing in teams of volunteers who will multiply themselves and hugely extend the reach of OCC’s mission.

A resourceful and energetic Regional Manager is needed to recruit, select, equip, and lead teams of volunteers throughout the greater West Midlands area and Wales. The Side-by-Side project supports children in care and care leavers to have the same opportunities as those who have not experienced care.

For many young people, navigating the care system and especially the transition to leaving care can be complex, isolating, and overwhelming. Too often, care-experienced young people are expected to face adulthood before they are ready, without the safety nets of family, friends, and community networks that many of us take for granted.

The project provides a mentoring and befriending service, offering consistent, trusted relationships that help young people feel less alone, build confidence and life skills, and navigate key life changes as they move towards independence.

Side-by-Side supports young people with a range of needs, including those who may be at risk of exploitation, unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, and young people living with identified mental health challenges. About the role 

As Relationship Manager, you’ll build genuine, lasting connections with our Special Funds - our named funds created in honour or memory of someone affected by primary bone cancer, community supporters and local businesses. Your relationship-led approach will help create the family feel connections we’re known for, inspiring long-term support and raising vital income for people affected by primary bone cancer 

You will: 

• Grow and manage Special Funds, our named funds created in honour or memory of someone affected by primary bone cancer. 

• Build strong, meaningful relationships with all our supporters, ensuring every person feels valued and connected. 

• Secure and steward regional corporate partnerships 

• Meet a regional income target of approx. £300,000 

• Represent BCRT in your region, strengthening awareness and community connections at meetings and events. 

About you: 

• A natural relationship builder with 3+ years’ fundraising experience and a genuine passion for supporter care. 

• Compassionate and professional, especially when working with families personally affected by primary bone cancer. 

• Organised, proactive and confident working independently, able to balance a varied workload. 

• A clear and engaging communicator, bringing warmth and positivity to every interaction. 

• Able to travel across the region (car required).

We are seeking a part-time Charity Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of our work.

XLH UK are a small UK patient charity supporting people affected by X-linked hypophosphataemia (XLH), a rare genetic condition which affects people of all ages. This is a varied, people-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys coordinating activity, working with volunteers and partners, and making a tangible difference in a small organisation.

What You’ll Do

• Coordinate volunteers and contractors supporting community engagement
• Manage charity communications and website
• Liaise with healthcare professionals, researchers and partners
• Support awareness, advocacy and pathways to best care
• Monitor and support public fundraising and grant applications
• Lead delivery of our annual community event
• Maintain systems, data and meeting administration

What We’re Looking For

• A self-starter with strong organisational and communication skills
• Experience working in a charity, health or community setting
• Competent IT literacy, for remote management using Microsoft solutions
• Confidence to coordinate people and projects
• An interest in patient advocacy and improving healthcare pathways
