Job description

HR & VOLUNTEERING PROGRAMME VOLUNTEERS WANTED — HELP BUILD THE HEART OF OUR CHARITY FROM DAY ONE

Every great charity is built on people. Every movement is powered by those who choose to give their time, their energy and their heart. And at MINDSET Charity, we are ready to build something extraordinary — but we cannot do it alone.

We are at the very beginning of our journey: a prevention‑focused, non‑clinical charity dedicated to supporting men on their mental wellbeing and self‑improvement path. Through action‑based programmes, we empower men with the tools, skills and approaches they need to navigate life with strength, clarity and resilience.

To bring this mission to life, we need a strong, supportive, inspiring volunteer community. And to build that community, we need you.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

As a HR & Volunteering Programme Volunteer, you will be helping to create the beating heart of MINDSET Charity — our people. You will shape the culture, systems and experience that every future volunteer will feel when they join us.

You will help us:

  • Build our volunteering programme from the ground up.

  • Create a culture where volunteers feel valued, appreciated and truly part of something meaningful.

  • Develop the systems, processes and frameworks that support a thriving volunteer community.

  • Recruit, onboard and welcome volunteers into a positive, empowering environment.

  • Ensure that everyone who gives their time feels seen, supported and celebrated.

This is not just an admin role — it’s a legacy role. You will be laying the foundations for a volunteer culture that will support thousands of men for years to come.

WHO YOU ARE

You’re someone who:

  • Believes deeply in the power of people and community.

  • Understands how important volunteers are to a charity’s success.

  • Wants to help build something meaningful from the very beginning.

  • Has an interest in HR, people development, volunteer management or organisational culture.

  • Is organised, compassionate and excited by the idea of shaping systems and experiences.

  • Wants to make sure every volunteer feels valued, welcomed and appreciated.

Whether you’re experienced in HR or simply passionate about people, your heart and commitment matter most.

WHAT YOU’LL GAIN

  • A rare opportunity to build a volunteering programme from scratch.

  • Experience in HR, volunteer management and organisational development.

  • The chance to shape the culture and values of a brand‑new charity.

  • A meaningful role where your work directly impacts the lives of volunteers and the men we support.

  • The knowledge that you helped create a community that changes lives.

JOIN US AT THE START OF SOMETHING POWERFUL

This is more than a volunteer role. It’s a chance to help build the foundation of a charity that will support men to grow, heal and thrive. It’s a chance to create a culture of gratitude, belonging and purpose. It’s a chance to be part of a movement that believes in prevention, empowerment and real‑world change.

If you’re ready to help us build a volunteer community full of heart, energy and purpose, we’d be honoured to have you with us.

Help us build the people who will build the mission. Help us build MINDSET.

If this speaks to you, we’d love to connect.
