Job Summary 

The post holder provides support to the Head of Chancery, ensuring the delivery of high-quality ceremonial events that reflects the values, traditions and customs of the Order of St John. The role contributes and support the charity’s strategy as an enabling function in line with our ‘Thriving People’ aim, through the delivery of events which celebrate our people and their achievements and help to foster a sense of belonging. 

This role supports the planning, management and delivery of a range of events from our annual St John’s Day celebrations, Investitures, other services held in the Priory Church and our involvement in national ceremonial occasions (such as Remembrance).

This role demands a strong attention to detail, ability to manage and prioritise complex workloads and excellent communication skills. You will have experience in event planning and delivery, preferably with a background in managing ceremonial events, and a proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.   

About You

You will be educated to Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C) including Maths & English, you will have experience of planning and delivering highly complicated ceremonial events, experience of planning and delivering highly complicated ceremonial events in the context of an Order of Chivalry and excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence effectively at all levels.

This position includes two office-based days per week. There may be times when flexibility is needed, including occasional weekend work, to support our events programme.

 About the Role

• Working closely with the Head of Chancery and key stakeholders to plan, manage and deliver a range of ceremonial and formal events.
• To support the Head of Chancery by undertaking detailed planning, preparation and delivery of the Priory’s major ceremonial occasions and other occasions (such as memorial services) as necessary. This will include diligent preparation of event plans and order of service, management of invitation lists and attendance, liaison with venues and external partners, budget management and delivering briefings.
• To support the St John International Office, the dependent Commanderies and the other UK Priories with the planning and delivery of their ceremonial occasions as required.

We're looking for an experienced and ideas-driven Fundraiser to join our dynamic, warm and dedicated team. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of a new Arts for Dementia individual giving strategy. You will lead on campaigns and develop / deliver Arts for Dementia’s supporter engagement journey to develop strong and long-lasting supporter relationships. The role will actively contribute to Arts for Dementia’s overall fundraising strategy and income generation.

Who we are

Arts for Dementia is an inclusive and dynamic charity, and a leader in our field. We work with artists, galleries, museums and community spaces to offer inspiring arts programmes for people in the early stages of dementia and their companions. We train facilitators from around the country to deliver effective arts-based activities for people living with dementia, and we advocate for the benefits of the arts for people affected by dementia.

With a new 3-year strategy and ambitions to double both our income and our work with those affected by dementia, we are at an exciting point in our development and this is a great time to join our team. Key responsibilities:

Individual giving and supporter engagement

• Lead and deliver individual giving campaigns and appeals
• Build and maintain relationships with supporters and donors
• Support the growth of regular giving and one-off donations
• Help deliver effective donor stewardship through communications and updates

Events and community fundraising

• Plan and deliver fundraising events and supporter-led activities
• Support community fundraising initiatives and challenge events
• Build relationships with participants and supporters to encourage long-term engagement

Developing new fundraising streams

• Assist in developing trust and foundation applications
• Support research into potential funders and funding opportunities
• Contribute to developing corporate partnerships and sponsorship opportunities
• Help diversify the charity’s fundraising portfolio

Relationship building and stewardship

• Ensure strong communication with donors and supporters
• Assist with reporting and updates for funders where required
• Support the development of systems and processes that strengthen donor retention

Collaboration and team contribution

• Work closely with the Fundraising Manager and wider team on fundraising priorities and to align messaging

 Skills, knowledge and experience:

• Experience in individual giving fundraising with good working knowledge of fundraising best practice
• Experience developing and delivering fundraising campaigns and communications across a range of channels

The role

You will be responsible for the development and delivery of our Community Services; ensuring they

About the Role

As a Domestic Abuse Caseworker you will provide high quality support to victims of domestic abuse and other crimes, leading on completing initial impact and risk assessments that are comprehensive and holistic. You will also contribute to providing cover for the local VS Helpline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively managing a caseload of service users, delivering excellent services which support the commissioners and their service goals to victims. Undertake initial proactive contact with victims, explaining VS services and promoting the benefits of accessing support.
• Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions. This will be delivered face to face, via telephone, video-chat, text and/or email based on the preferences of the client.
• Undertake risk and needs assessments to address the specific needs of the client in line with VS operating procedures. To follow relevant safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure an integrated approach to address any safeguarding concerns.
• Provide information and advocacy to enable service users to navigate and understand the criminal justice process and ensure their rights are upheld in accordance with the Victims Code of Practice.
• Identify barriers to individuals accessing our services and determine solutions. Work with multi-agency partners to which victims can be referred for ongoing and specialist support such as housing, social services and health provision.
• Maintain accurate and confidential case records, complying with data protection and all other legislation connected to your work.

About You:

You will need:

• An understanding of the impact of crime on victims such as anti-social behavior, domestic abuse, sexual violence and hate crime.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering services and working directly within a statutory, voluntary or multi agency setting(s).
• Ability to balance competing needs and priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A successful track record of building effective working relationships across internal and external stakeholders.

Coram is the UK’s oldest children’s charity founded by Thomas Coram in London helping vulnerable children and young people since 1739. Today, the Coram group helps more than one million children, young people, families and professionals every year by providing access to the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.

One of the twelve members of the Coram group, Coram Children’s Legal Centre (CCLC) is the UK’s specialist centre for children’s rights in education, immigration, community care and family law, and provides significant international legal systems consultancy. The centre is located on the Coram Campus in central London with a base in Colchester. We champion access to justice through information and advice, legal practice and representation, policy and strategic litigation. Our Legal Practice Unit provides advice and representation primarily under legal aid contract. Our Policy and Practice Change team promotes practice change through training and capacity building to professionals and secures systems change through research, policy and advocacy.

About the role

This role will provide leadership and management for CCLC particularly focused on the Legal Practice Unit’s legal aid billing operations. Through systematic and efficient management, the post-holder will play a pivotal role in CCLC’s financial and operational sustainability. The role will be accountable for maximising the unit’s legal aid billing in controlled work, certificated work and inter partes costs and will hold responsibility for the unit’s billing systems. It will also be responsible for private fees billing. The post-holder will oversee the smooth running of legal aid billing including through line management of the billing team. The post-holder will work very closely with legal, operations and administrative staff. The role will act as a key point of contact for a range of internal and external stakeholders including Coram’s central finance team who will support the role with grant fund management and overall accounting functions for CCLC. The post-holder will support the Managing Director of Legal Practice and Children’s Rights and department heads in the successful maintenance of our relationship with the Legal Aid Agency. Where appropriate they will be deputising for the Managing Director on legal aid and financial matters.

The role would suit a highly organised and efficient legal, or a finance or billing professional with solid experience of legal practice and a deep understanding of the challenges of legal aid. Whilst candidates with direct experience of legal billing (and more specifically civil legal aid billing) are welcomed, we recognise that this is a highly specialised and niche field. As such, this role could suit a highly experienced solicitor who appreciates the important role developing sustainable businesses plays in ensuring access to justice and who therefore wishes to move into practice and financial management. They will need an aptitude for processing large amounts of data, developing and managing spreadsheets and improving organisational systems. However, they will be well supported through training, an enthusiastic and competent junior billing team, the central finance team and an outsourced legal cashiering company, as well as a friendly and collaborative management team including the Managing Director and the Heads of Education Law, Community Care Law and Immigration and Asylum Law.

This is a largely office-based role in order to fully provide support to the billing team. However, some remote / hybrid working may be possible depending the experience of the candidate after the initial settling in period and there will be flexibility over how the four days will be spread across the week (within working hours). The team are mostly based in the London office and with one billing team member in Colchester so the post holder may require some occasional travel.

As Events & Community Engagement Lead, you will drive a dynamic programme of events, outreach, and partnerships that not only showcase our work, but actively challenge perceptions and champion inclusion.

You will take ownership of the strategic planning and delivery of our full events portfolio - from Theatre in Education performances and community workshops to respite holidays, fundraising events, and external commissions. A key part of your role will be building and nurturing meaningful relationships. You will also lead on fundraising, identifying and securing new opportunities through grants, sponsorships, and partnerships. Internally, you’ll provide leadership and direction across the events and engagement function. You'll also help our Delivery Partners and volunteers do the same, both in person and virtually through our trusty MS Teams. When we're doing things face-to-face, you’ll need to hit the road and be there in person to help with programme delivery or programme visits to make sure all is running as smoothly as possible.

And if that’s not enough to keep you busy, you’ll also be keeping meticulous records of information and data on our young people, volunteers, and partners. It's all about making sure every step of their journey is accurately reflected in our systems so that it complies with our funding contracts.

Role Purpose:

This is a very exciting time for The Social Change Nest. We continue a trajectory of steep growth, onboarding and supporting hundreds of new groups every year. We are working closely with funders worldwide, helping them move large amounts of funding to unincorporated movements at the frontlines of social change. We are spending more time than ever raising awareness on how capital flows impact the ability of communities to create change, and how we can hack the system to enable more money to flow in an equitable way to unincorporated movements. About the Social Change Nest

At the Social Change Nest (SCN), we’re radically transforming the funding landscape and strengthening civil society. We remove the financial and administrative barriers – like bank accounts and legal structures – that often prevent communities, grassroots groups and informal movements from accessing funding and focusing on their core mission. We also work closely with funders, enabling them to support social action with confidence and transparency.

We currently support over 700 groups across the UK and abroad addressing issues such as social injustice, climate, housing, wellbeing and animal rights. Key Responsibilities:

 Business Development

• Work with the Development Lead and the Head of Development to ensure that all new groups have an excellent onboarding experience that is both timely and values aligned.
• Deliver high-quality bid proposals and pitch documents to support business growth.
• Develop and implement client management and engagement strategies, including our philanthropic networks, enhancing relationships and delivering value.

Pipeline & Financial Management

• Analyse and present HubSpot data to inform strategic decisions and refine our offering.
• Support the Head of Development in managing the budgeting processes and preparing essential documentation for pitches and contracts.

Integration

• Support the integration of Development with other departments.
• Work closely with other members of the Development team to ensure our work is an orchestrated effort to deliver our strategic goals.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven business development expertise in the philanthropic sector with a track record of winning new business, and able to apply these skills to enhance our business development strategies.

About Woman's Trust

The charity was established in 1996 to meet the gap in specialist mental health services. About the role

As Fundraising Manager, you will support income generation for Woman’s Trust, led by the Head of Fundraising (HOF). You will focus on securing five figure grants, corporate donations and community/public donations, and support the increase of or ganisational income from £1.2m to £3m in the next 3 years.

You will effectively communicate our services and campaign aims and develop funder partnerships and relationships aligned to our strategic priorities. The Fellowship and Administration Officer is the main point of contact for Society Fellows, applicants and general enquiries. They administer and update records in the Society’s CRM database and undertake financial and general office administration. They also support the delivery of the Society’s annual programme of in-person, online and hybrid events.

• Acts as the main point of contact for Society Fellows, prospective Fellows and general enquiries by telephone, email, letters and in person
• Assists with application, Fellowship and subscription queries and Fellowship applications and sends welcome packs to new Fellows
• Administers and updates database records and provides reports from the database (for example, mailing lists for sending biannual newsletters and other printed items to Fellows)
