Beyond the Streets is a UK charity with over 20 years’ experience of partnering with women in the sex industry, to see them safe from coercion, violence and abuse. We deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support, provide training, and create resources and reports informed by research, lived experience, and practitioner experience.

Our ‘Direct Work’ is central to the organisation, and we are looking to recruit a new Women’s Support Worker. Taking a woman-centred approach, your role is to provide phone-based holistic support for women with complex needs who want support or to exit the sex industry. We are looking for someone with energy, motivation and experience of working with vulnerable adults; someone who a highly developed sense of self-awareness who can work in a gender and trauma informed way.

This role will be part of a small team of support workers, and a service manager, who deliver a call and email-based case work system. You will have frontline experience of working with individuals who experience multiple disadvantage. This might be in the VAWG sector, domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health or counselling or direct experience of women in the sex industry. You will have a good understanding of working with vulnerable people and be aware of the need and processes around Safeguarding adults and children.

About the project  

The Housing Advice Practitioner will by providing tailored advice and guidance through mainly remote online or phone support, as well as in person housing advice at a weekly housing advice surgery in the community. The role will include advocacy, coordination with legal services, workshops, and ensuring sustained support for families. 

This new Information and Advice Support Service is established to a) provide a light touch swift response service for less complex housing issues; and b) develop mechanisms for the early identification of emerging housing problems.

About the role  

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and compassionate support worker to deliver housing advice and practical support to individuals and families. This role involves responding to enquiries, conducting housing surgeries, and running workshops to empower clients with the knowledge and skills to address their housing-related issues. The successful candidate will work with clients to identify their needs and offer tailored solutions to help them achieve sustainable housing outcomes. In this role, you will be working in partnership with community organisations and the council to coordinate tailored support for each client to address their housing issues. The objective of the programme is to provide advice and support to clients who have problems related to their housing and to improve wellbeing and awareness of tenancy rights and housing polices.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the development and operational delivery of the newly commissioned Havering Reset Hub, delivered in partnership with North East London NHS Foundation Trust. The Hub is a 365-day, out-of-hours crisis-alternative service offering a safe and supportive space for Havering residents aged 18+ who are experiencing or approaching mental health crisis or severe distress. Staff and volunteers provide compassionate support through assessments, safety planning, wellness and recovery action plans, and social prescribing, helping individuals navigate their challenges and access the right resources.
As Service Manager, you will drive the strategic growth and day-to-day operations of the Hub, ensuring high-quality service delivery aligned with contract requirements and organisational goals. You'll lead partnership development, performance monitoring, and reporting, while embedding co-production and equality strategies into the service. This role requires strong leadership, stake
holder engagement, and a commitment to continuous improvement to ensure the Hub remains responsive to community needs and integrated within the wider mental health pathway.

Here's what the team will be looking for
The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in managing services for individuals with mental health and complex needs, alongside a proven track record of leading diverse teams through all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, supervision, performance management, and resolution of HR matters. You will have strong capabilities in service performance monitoring, maintaining high standards of care, and managing complex budgets effectively.
A deep understanding of mental health crisis management, safeguarding, and community care legislation is essential, as is experience working in partnership with statutory services, particularly the NHS. You'll be confident in developing and delivering support plans, promoting services to external stakeholders, and producing high-quality written reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems is required, along with the flexibility to work primarily out of hours, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays, to support and oversee the delivery of the Havering Reset Hub.

We are looking for a well-organised and caring professional with excellent administration skills to support our Healthcare Coordinator in overseeing the medication and healthcare needs of our male residents as they progress through their recovery from drug or alcohol abuse.

The role involves both administrative and practical tasks, as well as direct involvement in helping residents manage their own healthcare needs alongside supporting their wider recovery and spiritual growth.

You will maintain safe Medication Management within Yeldall Manor, ensuring that all medication including new supplies, is correctly administered, recorded accurately, and regularly audited, investigating and resolving any discrepancies. With the Healthcare Coordinator, you will assist the residents in accessing GP and specialist services, and ensuring that up to date electronic records are maintained of all healthcare matters for residents.

You will have excellent administrative and IT skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with medical professionals, along with a commitment to providing high-quality and compassionate care and support. Medical knowledge may be advantageous, but is not a necessity for this role.

A committed Christian faith is required to uphold the ethos and values of Yeldall Manor, and to support residents in their spiritual journey. The Supporter Retention Manager will be responsible for designing and delivering strategies that build supporter loyalty, increase lifetime value, and enhance the overall supporter experience. The role ensures that every supporter feels valued, engaged, and motivated to continue and grow their commitment to the organisation. Working in the Individual Giving Team, and in close partnership with the Marketing team, the postholder will deliver impactful stewardship campaigns, tailored supporter journeys, and creative engagement initiatives that maximise retention and enhance supporter experience. 

Reporting to the Senior Supporter Care Manager, you will deliver excellent customer care to supporters and potential supporters of Operation Smile UK. As an integral part of the Supporter Care team, you will successfully support the Individual Giving programme and wider fundraising activities, providing support to ever-increasing income and supporter stewardship for the delivery of increasing levels of unrestricted income for Operation Smile UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for existing supporters and new supporters who respond to our fundraising activities by phone, email, letter or in person, letter, or email delivering outstanding supporter care
• Liaise with supporters in timely communication via email, phone, and mail, with excellent customer care
• Prioritise answering incoming phone calls and escalate any difficult situations/complaints to the Senior Supporter Care Manager
• Support processing incoming phone and postal donations
• Assist with banking and processing incoming/outgoing post
• Be responsible for thanking our supporters, including by letter, email and phone, dispatch of information and fundraising materials
• Enter and maintain accurate records on our Database
• Maintain and assist with all types of donation processing, administration and Database record amendments/records being kept up to date. This will include Gift Aid status and contact consent requests
• Assist with cancelling and amending all types of regular gifts and sending out appropriate letters
• Manage the removal process and consent process
• Assist with sending out problem payment letters
• Following up cancelled regular payments as part of the winback process
• Assist with handling material requests and recording actions on the Database
• Assist with any third-party agency supporter care requests
• Maintain sensitive information and records with appropriate confidentiality
• Play an active role in developing the supporter journey at Operation Smile UK, working with the Senior Supporter Care Manager and colleagues across Fundraising & Communications.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the Senior Supporter Care Manager
