About the Role

The position is permanent and part-time. It is for 3 days per week, for the right candidate. The postholder must be available to work one Saturday a month. The main tasks of the role include: maintaining effective communication and correspondence with our vulnerable young clients and booking appointments; overseeing and updating our case management system; administrative financial work, costs billing and creating invoices; and general administrative duties including filing, scanning, shredding, archiving, photocopying, creating e-bundles, preparing and taking post to the post office, completing forms, and requesting subject access disclosure and other information from third parties.

The role also requires the administrator to support, where necessary, the day-to-day administrative management of the office and PRCBC operations. This role sits within our children and families directorate, which works to provide immediate one-to-one and group support for young people who urgently need support. Your role will be to help us maintain and develop innovative practice to support our work in our services within the Essex area. 

We wish to recruit a Substance Misuse Practitioner to join the established All Age Recovery Co-ordination Service (AARCS), which we deliver in partnership with Open Road, supporting young people, adults and families affected by substance misuse.

You will undertake individual assessments and risk assessment with young people up to the age of 25, developing a person-centred care plan specific to that young person and their needs and supporting them through their recovery journey with the service. This will be delivered through a range of tailored interventions, in both a one to one and/or targeted group work capacity.

What you'll do:

Undertake key-working responsibilities for a caseload assigned by the Team Leader / Manager

Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support and actions

Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available

Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation

Develop and maintain links with all key agencies and service providers in the local community

Empower customers to ensure they receive the service and benefits they are entitled to

Undertake all administrative work and keep accurate and comprehensive tenant/customer records to professional standards

Encourage and enable tenants to pay their rent and to ensure that rent accounts are managed effectively in conjunction with the Housing Management team

Ensure that referrals are chased proactively so that properties which can be used to house those in need are filled as efficiently as possible

Adhere to Look Ahead' Policies and Procedures

Engage in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills

Provide day-to-day instruction/supervision of Assistant Support Workers/domestic staff/Personal Support Assistants where appropriate

Undertake any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as may be reasonably assigned

Family Support Coordinator

About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Coordinator to support our care teams in delivering a high-quality family support service in the region, working with families and professionals to ensure the families we support have access to the services they need.

Reporting to the Family Support Manager and working in partnership with health, education, and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for sourcing practical goods and services in the region, applying for grants and benefits, as well as working with other charities or community providers to obtain goods, equipment or funds for families that Rainbow Trust do not provide directly.

Having worked in a stressful or emotionally-demanding environment with an understanding of the complexities of working with children and families, you will have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and strong networks with other organisation to provide meaningful assistance to the families we support.

What we’re looking for:

· Professional experience of working in an administrative or coordinator role - applications will be particularly welcome from those who have provided services in a health, social care, youth or education setting within a charity environment.

· A friendly and socially-focused approach – you have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and develop effective relationships with a wide range of people, you enjoy helping others.

· Well-organised, with a high level of attention to detail – you work well within established systems, produce high quality work and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

· Practical and people-oriented - you will thrive working at a fast pace whilst maintaining accuracy and be a confident MSOffice user.

· A persuasive and open communicator, you are inclusive in decision-making and are able to build and maintain strong working relationships with external organisations and networks.

· A practical knowledge of diversity issues affecting children, young people, and their families – aware that being responsive to others needs and concerns, is essential.
