We are looking for a Fundraising and Database Assistant (Salesforce) to join a small team of professional fundraisers.  Above all else, you will need to have excellent attention to detail, and be enthusiastic, hard-working with a can-do attitude.  They work in a fast-paced, but friendly and supportive environment, where you can be sure that your contribution will have a real impact on the charity's ability to deliver its vital work to thousands of young people. This role is full time, offers hybrid working 2-3 days in the office per week and is expected to last 2-3 months, so you must be immediately available.

Fundraising and database administration

• Responsible for day to day running of database (Salesforce) for the fundraising team.
• Ensuring all donations are correctly recorded on the database and thanked appropriately.
• Help maintain accurate, consistent, and reliable information about supporters for fundraising and relationship-development purposes
• Assist with data segmentation, creating data lists for mailing, correct recording and analysis of income for development purposes.
• Working with finance team, supporting the Gift Aid process, attend frequent reconciliation meetings between Salesforce and finance systems (Quickbooks)
• Ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection with all communications and donor activity.

• Provide support and training in maintaining and utilising Salesforce for the fundraising team.

Who We Need

We are looking for someone who will support the Archivist, Records and Data Protection Manager to successfully manage the demands of a busy and growing repository.

You will assist with the everyday work of a small specialist archive including, in particular, reducing the cataloguing backlog and helping ensure that all archive collections held at PMC have been appraised, catalogued and are accessible to interested audiences. You will help assess offers and liaise with donors regarding the acquisition of new material. You will assist with the promotion of the archive collections, supporting the Centre’s commitment to audience reach and fulfilment. You will have specific responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Public Study Room and copying service. You will work to embed best practice across all areas with a view to securing Archive Accreditation.

This role would suit an experienced professional who embraces all aspects of core archival work, thrives on juggling competing demands but also relishes seeing projects through to completion. The PMC is an educational charity that champions new ways of understanding British art history and culture. We publish, teach and carry out research, both in London at the Centre and through our online platforms. Our archives, library and lively events programme are open to researchers, students and the public. The Centre’s grants and fellowships enable institutions and individuals to pursue exhibitions, publications, events and scholarly projects. Through all areas of our work, we promote activities that enhance and expand knowledge about British art. The Centre was founded in 1970 by art collector and philanthropist Paul Mellon, and is part of Yale University and partner to the Yale Center for British Art.

The PMC holds and provides access to over forty archive collections relating to the study of British art and architectural history. About the Role

Salary will be in the range of £35,000 to £40,000 per annum depending on experience.

About the role

As an Assistant People Business Partner, you’ll support and drive change and people management initiatives, collaborate with subject matter experts to help support delivering the British Heart Foundation (BHF) strategy.

You’ll have business partnering responsibility for Finance, Risk Planning & Legal and will support and assist the wider BP team with the Technology and Marketing, Fundraising & Engagement (MFE) directorates. 

Striving for excellence, you’ll bring insight and provide operational support. You’ll be involved in Workforce Planning, Employee Engagement, Talent Management, Performance Management, and key Recruitment in specific areas of the business.

Establishing effective relationships with Business Leaders and specialists, you’ll provide valued interventions and insights on strategies to achieve business objectives and will be able to effectively analyse and present data in an engaging manner.

Working arrangements
 
Please note this is a 12 month fixed term contract.
 
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our London office. 

At the BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

About you 

CIPD qualified, ideally Level 5+, or equivalent experience, you’ll have senior HR or Business Partnering experience and excellent communication, coaching and relationship building skills.

Able to drive and implement plans effectively to required timescales, you’ll be results oriented and able to take the initiative and ownership to get the job done. You’ll have the vision and intellectual capability to understand the environment in which the BHF is operating and will be able to develop and maintain strong working relationships, both within the BHF and with relevant external partners.

To be successful in this role, you'll:

Interview process

The interview process will consist of 2 stages. 1st stage interviews will be held w/c 29th April over MS Teams. 2nd stage interviews will be on Wednesday 8th May at our London head office (NW1 7AW).
