The Role
The Senior Digital and Content Manager leads the development and delivery of Malaria No More UK’s digital content strategy — shaping how we inspire action, influence decision-makers and elevate diverse voices to drive progress against malaria.
This is a pivotal role at a pivotal moment. You’ll design and deliver a digital engagement strategy that advances our advocacy and policy change goals, responds to the fast-moving communications landscape, and builds understanding, belief and momentum for investing in the fight to end malaria.
Combining strategic thinking, creative storytelling and digital innovation, you’ll position Malaria No More UK as a bold, credible and solutions-focused voice in the global malaria fight. Managing one staff member (Digital Engagement Officer), you’ll collaborate across the organisation to ensure our digital strategy delivers measurable influence and impact — while staying true to our brand voice: togetherness, momentum and possibility.
The average day in this role will be changeable, so being flexible and good under pressure is essential. From crafting last minute social storytelling posts, to overseeing creative content work being developed, looking ahead to create strategic plans for major events and campaigns coming up, to feeding back on creative work and liaising with multiple partners for sign off. About Your Responsibilities
The Communications Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Communications Team across three areas, as well as supporting a number of other initiatives across the Foundation.
The primary duties are:
Digital Communications and Marketing
• Newsletter Creation: Develop newsletters for young people, collaborating with the Grants Team and our partners to curate engaging and relevant content.
• Promotional Materials: Oversee the design and production of leaflets and brochures aimed at young audiences.
• Website Maintenance: Regularly update the JPF website with blogs, case studies and other content to highlight opportunities and programmes like the Individual Grant for Volunteering or success stories of Achievement Award winners.
• Storytelling: Work with the Communications and Engagement Officer and Events Team to source and share positive news stories of Achievement Award winners in press releases and across our digital channels.

Community Development

• Alumni Network: Support the development of the Jack Petchey Alumni Network, a community of past JPF programme graduates, expanding its uptake and planning future events.
• Youth Survey Development: Support the creation, distribution and analysis of JPF’s annual youth surveys.
• Partner Collaboration: Work with the Communications and Engagement Officer to manage our partners to promote their programmes and opportunities to young people.
• Identifying Stakeholders: Collaborate with colleagues on developing JPF’s Patrons and Ambassador’s plan with a focus on young people from the charity’s past as well as social media influencers.
Other Responsibilities
• Event Representation: Attend key events to capture content and represent JPF as a spokesperson when needed.
• Event Support: Assist in organising and facilitating events and conferences as required.

About the role
Reporting to the Senior Individual Giving Appeals Officer, the Individual Giving Appeals Officer will deliver fundraising success during key moments like Christmas, Christian Aid Week and Emergency Appeals, focusing on maximising one-off donations. They will champion creativity to craft impactful campaigns, ensuring consistent, positive, and memorable interactions that align with organisational goals and values.
The post-holder will collaborate closely on key initiatives across stakeholders, supporting the Senior Individual Giving Appeals Officer to deliver the high-impact key appeals, hitting income targets while fostering meaningful connections with supporters.
Some of the main responsibilities of the Individual Giving Appeals Officer include:
- Collaborate with the Senior Individual Giving Appeals Officer to plan and deliver the high-profile annual Christmas appeal, aligning with organisational values and goals.
- Support the Senior Individual Giving Appeals Officer in planning and executing Christian Aid Week and Emergency appeals to maximise supporter engagement.
- Using data-driven insights and creative messaging, ensure CASH campaigns are impactful and delivering the right message through the right channels to consistently exceed fundraising targets.
- Create engaging, supporter-centric content and messaging across various channels, fostering alignment with Christian Aid's brand and mission.
- Analyse appeal performance critically, leveraging insights and feedback to continuously improve future activities and maximise ROI.
