Context and Background
The NSPCC’s mission is to end cruelty to children. Every childhood is worth fighting for. This is our belief. We share it. It drives our Engagement and Fundraising team to get out there and bring in the funds we need to protect children and prevent abuse.
Within the Engagement and Fundraising Directorate, our aim is to maximise resources for the NSPCC’s mission by raising funds, providing the best possible supporter experience, and building long-term relationships between donors and our cause.
To continue to deliver our mission we rely on the fundraising support of people across the UK for 90% of our annual income.
The Prospect Development Team sits within the Supporter Management Team within Philanthropy & Partnerships department but works across the whole of Engagement & Fundraising. Primarily, the team supports the Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships fundraising teams in their prospecting and fundraising strategies. The team’s role is to help colleagues understand their supporters at an individual level, but also to bring to the forefront the key trends and milestones in their journeys within the NSPCC. We aim to match opportunities for giving and engagement with our supporters’ charitable interests.
To deliver this, the Prospect Development Team offers prospect research, management and identification services. The team works with departments within the directorate on projects and initiatives which have the potential to further leverage major giving and corporate income.
The team also has a role to play in sharing insight and knowledge on the latest trends in philanthropy and corporate giving with the rest of the directorate, and in ensuring that our fundraising and research practices are compliant with sectoral regulations.

Job purpose
· Contribute to the Income Generation directorate’s purpose of maximising income from supporters by carrying out prospect research and prospect identification activities that contribute to fundraising activity.
· Deliver the Prospect Development Team’s strategy for supporting the growth of high value income from individuals and organisations.
· Work effectively and proactively with other departments in fundraising, in particular Philanthropy and Partnerships, and other functions within the NSPCC, to ensure prospect research activities serve their insight requirements.
· Deliver prospect research profiles, identify new fundraising opportunities and conduct activities which offer actionable insight.
Key relationships - Internal
· Reports to Prospect Development Manager.
· A member of staff of the Prospect Development Team and the Philanthropy & Partnerships department.
· Works closely with colleagues in Engagement & Fundraising to develop information, reporting and/or fundraising initiatives.
· Engages with staff in other NSPCC functions as necessary to ensure they are fully equipped to understand how potential and existing donors can connect to the NSPCC’s cause.
Key relationships - External
· Works with a range of agencies and suppliers that support fundraising research activities.
Main duties and responsibilities
· Devise, agree and deliver particular aspects of the Prospect Development Team’s annual business plan and budget alongside the Prospect Development Manager, to enable the NSPCC to deliver its planned activities and services.
· Delivery of business systems and processes within income generation in line with agreed key performance indicators and ensuring service level agreements are met where applicable.
· Manage relationships and deliver high quality support, information and data to fundraisers for whom you are assigned as lead contact. Corresponding effectively using creative and engaging methods of communication.
· Carry out research through a range of sources, including the internet, intranet, publications and other external contacts, including other charities, in order to obtain relevant information that can contribute to areas such as proposals, events, donor strategies and fundraising communications.
· Analyse and present research findings in a written or verbal format, including briefing notes, reports, summarising papers and publications. Develop full and accurate research profiles on prospects and donors to make recommendations that contribute to the agreed departmental strategic goals.
· Proactively take steps to improve business support and information systems that affect fundraising activities and staff through understanding how information and business processes are used, evaluating their effectiveness and efficiency on an on- going basis and making recommendations for and implementing improvements.
· Work with the Prospect Development Manager to maximise the opportunities by which Prospect Development can contribute to the NSPCC’s mission of ending cruelty to children over and above fundraising objectives.
· Maximise income by sharing knowledge, specialist expertise and experience of a specialist business support area with others in order to add value to cross-market fundraising activities.
· Be a key contact for agencies and other suppliers who support fundraising, ensuring appropriate agreements are in place and that goods/services are delivered as agreed.
· Keep up to date on best practice and developments within the charity sector generally and particularly in terms of changes to fundraising regulations and codes of practice.
· Undertake specific projects and activities as necessary or as required to support the department’s fundraising as a whole.

Person specification

Role: Executive Assistant
Contract: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Hybrid working. Cornwall or London office three days per week, home working two days per week.
Job Purpose
The Executive Assistant will provide administrative and internal and external stakeholder management support to the Executive Director. The role will also provide some support to the Director of Finance and Administration, and the wider team.
Eligible candidates should be extremely organised, have excellent communication and the confidence to independently manage a wide variety of tasks and stakeholders. They must have relevant experience in supporting executive roles and be enthusiastic and proactive in completing a wide variety of vital tasks independently.
The position will be hybrid, with 3 days per week (Tues-Thurs) based in Oceana’s UK offices in Newquay, Cornwall or Paddington, London. Regular national, and occasional international, travel will be required to meet team members and stakeholders in geographically diverse locations, including Washington, DC.

Responsibilities
- Support the ED to align time, attention and decision-making with organisational priorities, ensuring focus on high-impact work.
- Provide diary support to the Executive Director, including coordination of meetings, focus-time, effective travel planning, and other cross-team calendar management.
- Provide inbox management support to the Executive Director, assisting with task and diary prioritisation.
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, including travel bookings, expense reporting, and credit card statement reconciliations.
- Act as the first point of contact for the organization, including monitoring and responding to email inbox.

Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in executive assistant roles (essential), ideally with some experience and understanding of an NGO or Not For Profit working environment.
- Alongside required professional experience, proven relevant training courses and certifications will be advantageous, e.g. IEAA, Prince 2 or equivalent.
- Excellent computer skills, including confident proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel.
- Demonstrable experience in project delivery and project management methods.
- Some previous experience of events planning and management is preferred.
- Ability to represent Oceana UK in a professional, diplomatic, and responsive manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with wide ranging internal and external stakeholders, and ability to communicate on behalf of executive leadership with clarity and credibility.
- Must be friendly and enthusiastic team member, confident and motivated to build strong relationships across the team.

We're looking for a Donor Experience Officer to play a vital role within Acorns Children's Hospice's Fundraising team. As one of the first points of contact for our supporters, you'll help ensure every donation, enquiry and interaction receives a professional, personal and timely response.
This is a varied role that combines supporter care, relationship building, administration and communications. You'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end journey of donations, from processing gifts and maintaining accurate supporter records through to creating meaningful communications that show donors the impact of their support.
Working with colleagues across fundraising, marketing and care, you'll help deliver supporter journeys and stewardship communications that make supporters feel recognised, valued and connected to the difference they are making for local children and families. At the same time, you'll help ensure our fundraising operations run smoothly through excellent administration, data management and attention to detail.
About the Role
As Donor Experience Officer, you'll play a central role in delivering Acorns' donor experience strategy and ensuring supporters receive an exceptional experience at every stage of their journey with us. You'll balance relationship-focused supporter engagement with the day-to-day administration that underpins successful fundraising activity.

- Acting as a first point of contact for supporter enquiries across email, telephone, social media and written communications.

The role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with partner organisations, supporting firms throughout their participation in the Suicide Prevention Action Lab (SPAL) programme, and ensuring they remain motivated, accountable, and on track to deliver their commitments.
We’re bringing together six representatives from financial services firms to explore ways to improve support for customers experiencing suicidality. The Partnerships Officer will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the SPAL, working closely with participating firms to assist them in developing, testing, and implementing practical changes to help prevent suicidality.
The Partnerships Officer will manage relationships with multiple firms simultaneously, each at a different stage in their journey to testing and embedding new and improved approaches to identifying and supporting customers experiencing or at risk of suicidality. Key tasks in the role will include:
- Acting as the primary day-to-day contact for participating firms, building strong and productive relationships throughout their involvement in the SPAL. Coordinating and supporting consultancy and coaching meetings with participating firms.
- Developing and maintaining a strong working knowledge of emerging Action Lab research insights. Applying research insights in discussions with firms, supporting them in translating evidence into new or improved tools, processes and communications.
- Supporting a portfolio of firm representatives simultaneously, ensuring each remains engaged, motivated and on track to deliver against agreed objectives and milestones.
- Developing a strong understanding of participating firms' priorities, pressures and operational realities, using this insight to provide effective support.
- Building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders beyond participating firms, and developing strong internal relationships, proactively sharing insights and intelligence from Action Labs to maximise our organisational impact.
- Identifying opportunities to raise the profile of the Action Lab research-to-impact model, including relevant conferences, speaking opportunities and awards.

We are recruiting a fixed-term Policy Campaigns Manager to lead our campaigns function at ARUK. The Policy Campaigns Manager will report to the Senior Public Affairs and Campaigns Manager and have line management responsibilities for the Policy Campaigns Officer.
In this role you will be joining a friendly and fast-moving Policy and Public Affairs team, during an exciting year for dementia research as we campaign on our core mission for a cure. You will lead the development of the campaigns function for ARUK, building on existing initiatives, championing best practice in campaigns and building our reach and engagement. Key Responsibilities:
Deliver our live campaigns and marshal our campaigner base to advocate for change in dementia research and for people affected by dementia
· Work with colleagues across research, policy and public affairs teams to develop and deliver our campaigns that mobilise people affected by dementia and our supporters to influence decision makers and change policy and practice
· Work with the policy managers to ensure that our campaigns align with our strategic priorities and theories of change
· Work closely with public affairs colleagues to plan campaign actions that align with key political influencing moments e.g. Budget; Spending Review; King’s speech; General Elections
Develop and deliver our campaign communications to grow the reach, influence and impact of our campaigns
· Lead the development and growth of our campaigner network, building supporter journeys, and producing compelling and creative campaigner communications across email, social media and other channels
· Work with colleagues across CRM and digital to improve data management, delivering regular reporting on campaign actions and use this data to enhance the campaigner experience and empower more people to take action.
· Work with colleagues across the organisation to build campaigning expertise and experience with local ARUK supporters and improve our reach with MPs in their constituencies
Line Manage our Policy Campaigns Officer
· Oversee the work of the policy campaigns officer including setting objectives and providing support to a range of workstreams.
· Consider the learning and development needs of the policy campaigns officer and ensure that they are able to grow and develop in their role.
Involve people affected by dementia in campaigns development and delivery
· Identify campaign champions and storytellers with lived experience who can advocate for change
· Provide training and ongoing support to people with lived experience to empower them to take part in and shape our campaigns
Research, insight and continuous improvement
· Provide expert advice across the charity on campaigning, taking an open, flexible and innovative approach
· Develop mechanisms to keep abreast of best practice in campaigns and any legal or regulatory issues specifically around mental capacity and consent, data protection and lobbying etc
· Continue a campaigning culture across the organisation by being an ambassador for the benefits of campaigning and working with colleagues to showcase the opportunities and impact of our work.
