• Meeting and greeting visitors including supporters and patients and acting as their first point of contact for any queries.
• Dealing with telephone, email and postal enquiries across the organisation.
• Booking in and logging patients onto the relevant records and databases to provide accurate data.

• Co-ordinating the Transport service, including supporting and co-ordinating the volunteer drivers.

• Taking donations in any of the Weston Park Cancer Charity locations.

• Attend and contribute to team meetings and 'away days' and be an active, invested member of our team.
• Drive the charity car when required for charity business.

As the Project Assistant, you will play a key supportive role in the Birtley Active Travel Centre, with a particular focus on cycling-related activities.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Coordinating and supporting cycling sessions, guided rides, and other cycling engagement initiatives for people of all backgrounds and cycling abilities
- Supporting community engagement activities, including:
- administration of events
- communication with internal and external stakeholders and volunteers
- Data analysis and/or reporting
This role is ideal for someone who would enjoy getting outdoors and active and are keen to help other people do the same. You would have an interest in cycling, and be willing to participate in relevant cycling proficiency and ride leadership training.

As Digital Marketing Manager, you will be a key member of Racing Welfare’s Communications team, playing an important role in how the charity communicates with, engages and supports the racing industry.

With increasing focus on digital channels, campaigns and content, this role offers the opportunity to shape how Racing Welfare engages its audiences, promotes its services and delivers effective awareness and fundraising communications.
What you’ll do
• Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of Racing Welfare’s digital marketing and communications activity across owned digital channels.
• Support the Head of Communications in strengthening engagement, consistency, impact and growth across Racing Welfare’s digital communications.
• Line manage and support the Digital Marketing Assistant, providing development support in a fast-paced communications environment.
• Create and deliver clear, engaging digital content across social media, websites and email, working collaboratively with colleagues across all Racing Welfare's departments.
• Produce high quality marketing materials in house, including campaign assets, promotional materials and event programmes, using Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign and Canva.
• Manage and develop Racing Welfare’s websites and digital platforms.
• Support awareness campaigns and fundraising activity through well planned, effective digital communications.
• Use insight and performance data to analysis and improve engagement over time.
• Attend welfare, fundraising and industry events where required, to capture content for digital channels.
What you’ll bring
• Proven experience delivering high quality digital marketing and communications activity across multiple platforms.
• Strong creative and design capability, with experience producing marketing materials and publications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong copywriting ability and attention to detail.
• Experience managing websites, with a good understanding of HTML, plus a working knowledge of SEO and content optimisation.
• Strong knowledge of digital analytics, reporting and performance measurement.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising competing demands, managing deadlines and adapting to changing priorities.
• Experience of line managing and/or supporting an assistant team member.
• Confidence using Adobe Creative Cloud, ideally including InDesign and Canva.
• Knowledge of, or experience working with, mobile or web-based app platforms is desirable, as is an interest in horseracing and or social welfare.

This is an office-based role located in Newmarket, with some travel within the UK required.

Salary: £38,000 to £41,500 DOE

The Role – What you’ll be doing
As our Product Assistant (Mass Participation events), you’ll help deliver an exceptional supporter experience across our Charity owned mass participation events —playing a hands-on role in supporter care as well as supporting with logistics and day-to-day tasks required for event delivery.
You will:

Be a first point of contact for product enquiries: managing shared inboxes, answering calls and providing friendly, timely supporter care.

Provide excellent stewardship to all supporters. Including acknowledging donations and maintaining the Charity database in line with Charity policies and procedures.

Support the Products team with planning and delivering mass participation events across the portfolio of both in-person and virtual events.

Help deliver our flagship event, The Banham Marsden March, including pre-event logistics and on the day support.

Work with fulfilment agencies to ensure fundraising materials reach supporters in a timely manner.

Keep events information updated across our website and in-hospital displays.

Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of the role is to develop and foster long-term, multi-faceted relationships with people giving in memory, and deliver compassionate, personalised stewardship, so all supporters feel cared about and their gift is highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use Salesforce (or similar CRM) to maintain and keep up to date all information and projects related to In Memory Giving and drawing on data insights, monitor performance, identify trends, opportunities for developments and support improvements to the care and long-term relationship with supporters.
- Use the Much Loved (or similar platform) to develop tributes and opportunities for further in memory dedications, event participation and increase financial donations.
- Establish a communication process with funeral directors and keeping these records up to date on Salesforce.
- Much Loved to promote income generation keeping them as donors, repeating donations and taking part in events and dedications
- Ensure that all communications, across all mediums, reflect the values of the Fishermen’s Mission and our Christian ethos.
- Working closely with the Digital Engagement Officer and the Digital Fundraising Officer to develop and promote In Memory Giving and storytelling via digital platforms
- Work with the wider organisation including frontline staff to raise the profile of In Memory Giving (internally and externally) and providing information using both written and printed word to assist with conversations with clients and supporters.
- Provide reports and information as and when required by line manager.
- Meet all targets and objectives as agreed with the line manager on an annual basis.
- Undertake training and networking opportunities, when and if required, to keep up to date with the wider charity sector.
- Work as part of the Business Development Team at all times, taking part in team events and projects and supporting other team members if required.
