The Regional Fundraiser is responsible for delivering sustainable net income through a variety of income streams across a hospice catchment area in line with fundraising strategy.
Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice is in Moggerhanger in Bedfordshire. Providing expert palliative and end-of-life care in the hospice and the community. Helping with everything from pain and symptom management to emotional and practical help
The post holder delivers locally tailored activity, building and maintaining strong relationships with supporters, community groups, businesses and volunteers to grow income and engagement.
Working closely with the Regional Fundraising Team Manager and colleagues, the role contributes to planning, delivery and mitigation across key income streams.
As an ambassador, representing the charity within the local community, promoting collaboration across hospice, retail and fundraising teams.
The role ensures excellent supporter stewardship, accurate data management and compliant fundraising practice.
Through excellent supporter care, compliant practice and flexible cross-team collaboration, the Regional Fundraiser drives net income and supports the long-term sustainability and reputation of Sue Ryder.

Working within the Fundraising Operations and Supporter Care Team and reporting to the Fundraising Operations and Supporter Care Manager, the Supporter Care and Data Officer will deliver excellent customer care to our supporters, responding to enquiries, and thanking supporters to help drive income and show them how valued they are to Cruse Bereavement Support. You will work in alliance with the Community Savers Leadership and key partners to support creative organising for gender, housing, climate, and economic justice across Manchester neighbourhoods. This role is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund (Reaching Communities).
You will need:
Role summary: You will work with the Community Savers Leadership and key partners on the strategic development of community action, projects, and partnerships that reduce health inequalities and promote social justice. This will include networking and building relationships with existing and potential statutory and non-statutory partners; bringing in appropriate expertise to achieve community-led development projects; direct support for community action such as community-led research projects and partnerships; community mapping, visioning and action planning; supporting reflection and evaluation; and sharing learning widely. You will also supervise the coordination support provided to affiliated groups and leaders by our Community Action Coordinator (Manchester); ensuring a community-led process underpins leadership and associational development.
