About the Role
This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in supporting young people through education by acting as the vital link between partner schools and a team of inspirational volunteer mentors.
Working closely with schools, you will coordinate and oversee the successful delivery of the charity's in-school programme, ensuring volunteers have the guidance, support and resources they need to make a lasting difference to pupils' lives. Alongside programme coordination, you will help develop volunteers throughout their year of service, supporting their professional development while building strong relationships with schools and key stakeholders.
The role is predominantly school-based from Monday to Thursday, with most Fridays spent attending training and development sessions at the Birmingham office or online.

About the Role
The Lead Youth Worker plays a key role in shaping, coordinating and delivering high-quality youth provision within the Future Foundations programme at KLS. Reporting to the Head of Future Foundations, this role combines hands-on youth work with leadership, coordination and safeguarding responsibility, ensuring that children and young people are supported through safe, inclusive and engaging activities that promote their personal, social and educational development.
You will lead on the planning, delivery and evaluation of homework clubs, youth activities, trips and holiday programmes, while line-managing and supporting two Youth Workers and supervising interns and volunteers. You will work closely with families, schools, community partners and colleagues across KLS to provide joined-up, responsive support for young people. Key Responsibilities
Youth Club & Holiday Programme
Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of the youth club for newly arrived young people, within Future Foundations, ensuring sessions are safe, inclusive, engaging and developmentally appropriate.
Develop session plans and programmes that support young people’s learning, wellbeing and confidence, using participatory and youth-led approaches.
Lead the delivery of the weekly youth club, including wellbeing activities, workshops and targeted interventions for newly arrived young people.
Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of school holiday provision, including half-term, Easter and summer programmes, ensuring appropriate staffing, safeguarding and risk management arrangements are in place.

Person Specification
Essential Experience
Experience of working with refugee communities and/or children and young people and/or other vulnerable groups, with a strong focus on placing participants’ needs at the centre of service planning and delivery.
Experience of planning, delivering and contributing to reporting for projects within the voluntary or community sector (preferably with refugee or sanctuary-seeking communities).
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain high professional standards.
Experience of working sensitively with young people affected by mental health challenges and past trauma, with an empathetic, non-judgemental approach and the ability to build supportive but appropriately boundaried relationships.
Up-to-date knowledge of best practice in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and the ability to apply this in practice.
Confident IT skills, including use of the Microsoft Office suite, email, internet-based tools and social media.

The Role
This work is part of a project (the Integrated Offer), exploring the needs and ongoing connection for people affected by stroke in hospital and beyond.
The role will involve delivering person-centred stroke support in the hospital setting, while working with the Integrated Offer team to test and implement new approaches. The areas we aim to deliver and test are:
· Deliver person centred conversations with people affected by stroke on the acute ward.
· Following an initial conversation, test how people affected by stroke connect with the Stroke Association next, and what they connect to.
· Explore how to increase connection with those who are not present on the ward at the same time as us.
(note- we may test some or all the above)
To support flexible delivery and testing, you'll also develop your skills by providing phone support to people affected by stroke.
The role includes working in Doncaster Royal Infirmary starting with twice weekly visits, for 3 hours per session. These sessions can be any time after 11am. The length, timing and cadence of the sessions may need to adjust as this is a test and we will be led by what works for the hospital and people affected by stroke.
Occasional overnight stays may be required.
About You
Key skills/experience:
· Experience of communicating directly with people affected by stroke, either on the phone or face to face.
· Experienced in person centred support Emotional intelligence and good judgement skills
· Effective listening skills with the ability to communicate clearly at a time where emotions may be heightened.
· High levels of emotional resilience to handle complex situations whilst working in a hospital environment.
· Ability to embrace the principles of coaching and reflective practice to drive continuous improvement.

Key Deliverables

Purpose of the role
Race Against Dementia is seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Senior Partnerships Officer to support the delivery of our ambitious fundraising strategy. You will play a key role in managing and developing partnerships that generate income and increase global awareness of our work.
Working closely with the Strategic Partnerships Lead, you will support the stewardship and growth of corporate and strategic partnerships, with an additional focus on international fundraising and partnership development. You will help identify and cultivate new opportunities across priority markets, including the USA, Switzerland and other emerging regions.

About the role
As a Young Women & Girls' Groupworker, you will deliver therapeutic groupwork and short-term counselling to young women and girls aged 16–25 who are affected by, or at risk of, domestic abuse and related forms of gender-based violence.
The role combines psycho-educational group facilitation, one-to-one counselling, and outreach/engagement work, contributing to improved emotional wellbeing, confidence, and self-esteem among participants. Harris Hill is working in partnership with a leading organisation supporting people living with HIV to recruit a Welfare Rights Advisor. This is an opportunity to join a purpose-driven team providing practical advice, advocacy and support to help people navigate complex welfare and benefits systems and maximise their income.
The role is predominantly remote, with the successful candidate required to attend HIV clinics across central London one day per week, usually for a half day, as part of an outreach-based service. The position is offered on a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension, and can be full-time or part-time, with a minimum commitment of two days per week.
As Welfare Rights Advisor, you will provide high-quality one-to-one welfare benefits advice and support to clients, assessing their needs, developing action plans and helping them access the financial support to which they are entitled. You will support clients with welfare forms, advocacy and tribunal attendance where required, while also making appropriate referrals to other specialist services. The role will involve working closely with health and social care organisations, delivering outreach in HIV clinics, organising workshops and training sessions for frontline professionals and NHS staff, and providing updates to colleagues on welfare and benefits legislation. You will also support and develop volunteers, contribute to drop-in sessions and ensure that client records, monitoring information and reports are maintained accurately and effectively.
You will be a qualified welfare rights adviser with at least two years’ experience providing welfare and benefits advice to vulnerable groups, alongside a strong understanding of the UK welfare and benefits system. You will bring excellent communication, numerical and IT skills, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities while working independently. Just as importantly, you will be empathetic, patient, tactful and emotionally resilient, with a genuine commitment to equality and the rights of people living with HIV. Experience of casework systems, volunteer support, group facilitation or specialist areas such as housing, debt management or income maximisation would be advantageous, as would knowledge of Salesforce or languages in addition to English.
