Working as part of the Wales team, the postholder will lead communications and marketing activity for both funds, ensuring carers’ stories, programme impact and opportunities for support are effectively communicated across Wales. The role will play a key part in building awareness, engaging stakeholders and delivery partners, and showcasing the difference these programmes make to unpaid carers’ lives.
The postholder will work closely with External Affairs colleagues in Wales and the UK-wide Communications and Marketing team to develop engaging digital content, media coverage, publications and social media activity. They will also coordinate learning and engagement events that bring together partners to share best practice and strengthen delivery across Wales.
As the postholder you will:
- Work with external suppliers including photographers, designers, translators and videographers.
- Lead communications and marketing activity for the Short Breaks Fund and Carers Support Fund in Wales.
- Coordinate learning, engagement and promotional events for stakeholders and partners.

About the role
The Programme Officer role sits within our Health & Inequalities Directorate, which is focused on the ‘building blocks’ that make up good health and how health can be promoted outside of formal health systems and services, especially for those experiencing the greatest inequalities. You will work as part of the Health & Inequalities Directorate’s embedded Portfolio Management team to support the delivery of our Health & Inequalities programmes and projects.
The role will act as programme support on a suite of projects and programmes, working closely with content leads on aspects of the design, implementation, delivery and management of a range of projects within our three overarching Health & Inequalities themes: Health and the Economy; Public Health Led Prevention and Cross Sector Action (including our Health Equals campaign).
As Programme Officer, you will work closely with our expert colleagues, supporting them to navigate our internal funding and procurement processes, and in setting up projects for success by implementing and overseeing a project management approach. You will be involved in a variety of projects and programmes, from projects focused on research and analysis, to events, test and learn programmes, agency contracts and partnerships.
You will be responsible for ongoing programme/project oversight and governance, and updating internal systems, such as on project progress, budget management and risks. You will also support the wider governance of our three overarching themes, supporting the leads with preparing and delivering oversight meetings and maintaining records on how our portfolio of work is progressing.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Head of Operations will play a central leadership role within RLSS UK, ensuring the charity operates effectively and efficiently. The successful candidate will lead and support the RLSS UK HR, Business Systems and IT, and Compliance departments and provide high quality decision support to senior managers on areas within this portfolio. This is a strategic and hands-on operational role overseeing key areas of the corporate services directorate.

The Role:
This is an exciting time to join the organisation, as we are planning the refurbishment of our flagship 10-bedroom supported accommodation service alongside ongoing development of our wider accommodation portfolio.
The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant and effective operation of all facilities at York Road Project, which includes a 10-bedroom main site shelter and three additional properties comprising a further 14 beds. The role ensures all buildings are maintained to a high standard, remain fit for purpose, and meet statutory and regulatory requirements.

1) Cross-Functional Coordination
- Support daily and weekly communication between Food, Membership and Operations regarding supply and membership demand

Main purpose of the job

The Bone Cancer Research Trust has invested close to £12 million in research funding since our inception in 2006, with commitment accelerating rapidly since our first dedicated strategy was launched in 2017. We offer a diverse portfolio of research grant funding, supporting research at all phases and researchers at all stages of their career.
To maximise the impact of our work, we are now seeking an exceptional individual to provide administrative and coordination support across Research, Information, Support and Awareness. We are seeking a motivated and organised individual to hit the ground running as part of our busy charitable team. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the delivery of our charitable objectives and make a tangible impact on the lives of those affected by the disease.
As an integral member of a cross-functional team, the post holder will support delivery across all charitable pillars and help ensure a joined-up approach to our work.
A key part of the role will be to engage directly and build strong relationships with our research and clinical community, from sending welcome packs to supporting our yearly impact monitoring.
The role will also involve interacting with patients and those affected with primary bone cancer. This may be through sending information resources or support boxes or may include the planning and delivery of laboratory tours.
Experience working in an administrative, process driven, or project delivery environment is essential. Knowledge and/or experience of medical charities would be beneficial but not essential. Working in health or research-related environments would be beneficial, but not essential. The role will involve the use of the charity’s CRM database and Teamwork. Experience in the use of these is beneficial; however full training will be given. Experience in organizing and delivering meetings and/or conferences would be beneficial.
This exciting role will give the successful candidate the opportunity to learn about all aspects of a medical research charity, all whilst making a huge difference to people affected by primary bone cancer.
