· To work closely with the CEO and the rest of the GWT’s Senior Management Team in prioritising day-to-day activities. Whilst primarily focused on internal activities, the postholder will assist the CEO with external matters, deputising for the CEO as directed.
· To take a proactive role in supporting the CEO in strategy development, and to take the lead responsibility for the GWT’s Management Plan.

· To be responsible for leading organisational development to ensure that the GWT has the structure and staff capacity to deliver against targets.
· To oversee the DCOS’s effective delivery of HR and CPD programmes including recruitment, induction, training, appraisals and disciplinary procedures.
· As Budget Holder for the UK Office, to ensure the efficient and effective running of the UK Office and its associated infrastructure, including the delivery of staff induction and continuation training.
· To prepare and manage the administrative elements of the UK Office budget.
· To oversee the GWT’s IT/Cyber strategy (UK and Nepal) with responsibility for all UK IT procurement and support policies (supported by the Office Manager), and to coordinate and manage all non-fundraising related office contracts.
· To monitor and support the activities of the GWAC in UK, liaising with Headquarters Brigade of Gurkhas as required.
· To liaise with the GWT’s Company Secretary from time to time to produce and distribute Committee/Board/General Meeting packs and take minutes and in the absence (for any reason) of a Company Secretary to carry out the administrative aspects of those functions. In the absence of a GWT Company Secretary, or as required by the relevant Committee Chair(s), act as Secretary to the various GWT Committees.
· To ensure, in close cooperation with the GWT’s Company Secretary from time to time, that the GWT’s governance arrangements are compliant, efficient and meet best practice.

About the role:
This is a rare opportunity to build something from the ground up and see the direct impact of your work on people experiencing homelessness across London. As our first Philanthropy and Major Gifts Officer, you will work closely with the Assistant Director of Fundraising to bring our new strategy to life, shaping how we engage major donors and grow a powerful community of supporters who are motivated to stand alongside Single Homeless Project (SHP) and our clients. Every relationship you build and every gift you secure will help create real opportunities for our clients to move away from homelessness and towards safety, stability and independence.
You will take the lead in developing and managing meaningful relationships with major donors, creating thoughtful and engaging journeys that bring them closer to our work and the difference it makes day to day. Alongside nurturing existing supporters, you will identify and secure new funding opportunities, building a strong and sustainable pipeline of donors and driving forward this new area of income generation within the team. Hybrid working for us means a mix of in office working in Kings Cross and home working. Currently two days in the office (usually Wednesday and Friday) with the rest from home.

What's important is that you'll have a track record of meeting financial targets and balancing a demanding workload with competing deadlines. Key responsibilities

The Prospect Development Team sits within the Supporter Management Team within Philanthropy & Partnerships department but works across the whole of Engagement & Fundraising. Primarily, the team supports the Philanthropy and Corporate Partnerships fundraising teams in their prospecting and fundraising strategies. The team’s role is to help colleagues understand their supporters at an individual level, but also to bring to the forefront the key trends and milestones in their journeys within the NSPCC. Your primary focus will be creating engaging content, managing our digital channels and delivering campaigns that increase footfall and raise the profile of Cambridge Science Centre.

● Budgeting & Efficiency: Comfortable working within set budgets and developing processes for increased productivity and cost / time efficiency
● Local Network: Knowledge of the East of England regional media landscape and community networks
● STEM Interest: A genuine interest, passion or curiosity in science, STEM education and interest in staying informed about global developments in science, technology, engineering, and maths
● File Management: Experience with organising digital assets using file management systems or shared project drives
● Working with Freelancers: Experience in creating design briefs and liaising - from concept to final delivery - with third party suppliers on production of videos, printed assets or other collateral
