Summary of Role

The Volunteer Director of Individual Giving at Solution Community plays a key role in strengthening Solution’s financial sustainability by developing, implementing, and managing strategies to cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors. This role is responsible for growing our annual giving program and building lasting relationships with our supporters, directly impacting our ability to achieve our mission. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to contribute their expertise and passion to a cause they believe in.

Key Responsibilities:

Annual Giving Program Management:

• Develop and execute comprehensive annual giving campaigns (e.g., year-end appeals, spring campaigns, monthly giving programs) across various channels (direct mail, email, social media, online).

• Set realistic fundraising goals for individual giving and track progress toward them.

• Analyze campaign performance and recommend adjustments to maximize impact.

• Identify opportunities to expand the donor base and increase donor retention rates.

Donor Cultivation and Stewardship:

• Identify, research, and qualify prospective individual donors.

• Develop and implement personalized cultivation and stewardship strategies to engage donors at all levels.

• Oversee timely and meaningful donor acknowledgment and recognition.

• Act as a primary point of contact for a portfolio of key individual donors, building strong, lasting relationships.

Data Management and Reporting:

• Ensure accurate and up-to-date donor records in the organization's CRM system

• Generate reports on donor acquisition, retention, gift size, and overall individual giving performance.

• Utilize data to inform strategies and identify trends.

Strategy and Collaboration:

• Collaborate with the Development team and other leaders to align individual giving strategies with the organization's overall goals and fundraising priorities.

• Identify and recommend best practices in individual giving and annual fund development.

• Potentially recruit, onboard, and manage a small team of volunteer fundraising support staff, if applicable.

• Represent the organization professionally and enthusiastically to donors and prospects.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience (7+ years preferred) in individual donor fundraising, annual giving, or a related development role.

• Demonstrated success in developing and executing annual giving campaigns.

• Strong understanding of donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship best practices.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising appeals and donor communications.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with major donors, understand their motivations, and align their giving with our organizational mission.

• Experience developing and implementing successful major gift strategies, including setting goals, tracking progress, and adjusting strategies based on outcomes.

• Ability to craft compelling narratives that communicate the impact of Solution Community’s work and inspire philanthropic support.

Summary of Role:

The experienced Salesforce Implementation Specialist will spearhead our transition to Salesforce and its Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) solution. You will be responsible for translating our core organizational workflows—spanning Fundraising, Program Management, and Stakeholder Engagement—into Salesforce's scalable, highly optimized CRM for nonprofits.

What Will You Do?

Following the industry-standard frameworks and Nonprofit Cloud best practices, your core duties will include:

• Meet with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and needs for Solution Community's Customer Relationship Management (CRM).

• Initial configuration and setup of Salesforce NPC, including customizations of standard objects (like Accounts, Contacts, Leads, Opportunities), creating Custom Objects and fields, as well as UI page/layout customizations to store and display our unique business data.

• Collaborate with internal teams to translate current data into a scalable, high-integrity Salesforce data schema.

• Set up workflows and automation for diverse revenue streams, including Single Payment Gifts, Recurring Gifts, Matching Gifts, and Inbound Grants, aligning with NPC's native architecture.

• Build out custom fundraising dashboards and campaign reports using the native NPC analytics packages.

• Integrate with third-party platforms and tools as needed to support our newly designed and developed workflows.

• Deliver clear, step-by-step training to both technical administrators and non-technical staff.

• Document all custom configurations, automation, and data dictionaries to ensure the platform's long-term health.

Who Are We Looking For?

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce implementation experience, ideally with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud (NPC) as a Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Nonprofit Cloud Consultant, or equivalent proven implementation experience.

Every year our fantastic HR Advice Line volunteers speak to hundreds women and parents experiencing challenges or pregnancy and maternity discrimination at work. The Advice Line provides hours of free support and HR advice every week, however the demand for the service is high and we know that getting through can be difficult. That’s why we’re trialling a new online Advice Forum to help improve access to support and flexibility of our volunteer roles. But before we can make the forum public, we need to bring in a team of volunteers who are ready and waiting to answer questions. 

We are looking for knowledgable HR professionals who want to tackle the Motherhood Penaltyand support mothers and parents by becoming an Advice Forum Volunteer.

As a volunteer advisor you’ll give an hour a week of your time to respond to questions on the Advice Forum. You’ll use your HR knowledge and experience to respond to posts and give advice that can help people identify and challenge pregnancy and maternity discrimination in the workplace. You’ll also be joining us at the start of this brand new service and will have an essential role in helping us monitor, evaluate and learn from the forum trial, with the goal of establishing it as a permanent PTS Support Service. 

About the role

Time Commitment

The Advice Forum will be available online 24/7, and so volunteering as a forum advisor is flexible and can fit around your schedule. We ask that you are able to commit at least one hour a week for a minimum of three months.

Alternative time commitments can be considered and discussed, so please do include any information that might be useful in your application form.

Main Role Purpose

Advice Forum Volunteers play a vital role in providing accessible support and guidance to working parents facing unfair treatment or discrimination in the workplace. Volunteers will respond to forum questions and posts, offering advice and signposting information about employee rights. You will also coordinate with the PTS staff team and other volunteers to ensure all forum questions are responded to, and will have the opportunity to contribute to the forum’s development.

Essential requirements

• Minimum CIPD level 5 Diploma in People Management with one professional reference.
• Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and policies related to pregnancy, maternity leave, and discrimination.
• Access to a reliable and secure WIFI or Internet connection and a mobile device or computer/laptop.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Comfortable using online communication tools.
• Commitment to completing all required volunteer training.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to forum questions from individuals seeking support and advice.
• Provide HR advice and guidance in a clear and concise way to support forum users with their enquiries.
• Signpost to further information and other support organisations if necessary.
• Maintain professionalism in all interactions, adhering to all Pregnant Then Screwed guidelines and policies.
• Complete all training required by PTS.

As part of the Government led Communities for Afghans programme, we are looking to recruit individuals or groups (UK BASED ONLY) to make up a team of 6 volunteers to support an Afghan family - you could be friends, neighbours, colleagues, faith groups, veterans, or community organisations are welcome.

We are currently focused on supporting families across Wales, West Midlands and Scotland but be keen to support elsewhere geographically where possible.  With this in mind, you may live in these areas, but we are also delighted to bring volunteers together remotely to support a family.

The Communities for Afghans programme is a community-led Government initiative supporting families as they rebuild their lives in the UK. It is a Government-approved scheme that enables local people to welcome Afghan refugee families into their community. Volunteers will be supported by us to find housing for a family, provide practical and emotional support enabling them to settle into daily life and feel a genuine sense of belonging in the community.

How community sponsorship work

1. Form a Sponsor Group: Create a team of six or more volunteers — friends, neighbours, colleagues, faith groups, veterans, or community organisations.
2. Training & Ongoing Support: Our partners provide full training, so your group feels confident and well prepared. This simple, practical training is offered before you begin and continues throughout the sponsorship journey.
3. Identify Suitable Housing: With our guidance, your group helps find long-term accommodation. We then match an Afghan family of the appropriate size and ensure the property is suitable and affordable. Government funding is available for rent deposits and related costs.
4. Welcome & Support the Family: Volunteers help the family register with schools, healthcare, benefits, and local services, while introducing them to the community and supporting them as they adjust to life in the UK.
5. Be the Local Point of Contact: You act as the family’s trusted guide, helping them navigate the area, understand local systems, and access opportunities that only residents truly know.
6. Commit for Three Years: Sponsor groups support the family for three years, providing consistency as they grow in independence, confidence, and resilience.

What you will do.

Referral partnerships (the main task). Each week, email a small batch of relevant organisations (charities, social prescribers, advice services, housing providers, universities) to introduce Flourish as a referral option, using our ready-made templates and contact list. Follow up once and track responses. This is friendly relationship-building, not hard selling.

Directory listings. Create and keep Flourish's profiles up to date on counselling and wellbeing directories, using our master profile copy so everything stays consistent.

Reviews. Run our gentle, ethical review-request process and keep a simple record.

Drafting for the founder to approve. Draft short responses to journalist requests and occasional LinkedIn posts in the founder's voice, ready for her quick sign-off. We provide an expert toolkit, including bios and key messages, to make this easy.

Light reporting. Keep a simple tracker of activity and enquiries so we can see what is working.

You will not be asked to provide counselling, give clinical advice, or speak publicly as an expert yourself; the founder remains the named voice.

Who we are looking for.

Organised and reliable, comfortable working through a list methodically.

Confident, warm written English; able to write a friendly, professional email.

Comfortable with spreadsheets, web forms and email; quick to learn simple online tools.

Self-motivated and able to work independently and remotely.

No counselling or marketing qualification is needed. Experience in admin, communications, community work, fundraising or customer service is welcome but not essential.

Job Title: Marketing Lead – Roots Academy Ireland

Location: Ireland (Remote, with in-person responsibilities within the region)

• Commitment: 3-5 hours per week, part-time 

• Reports To: Head of Marketing – Roots Academy Global

Role Summary:

The Marketing Lead will lead Ireland’s marketing strategy, driving brand growth and customer engagement. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of marketing, including brand development, digital marketing, campaign management, market research, and customer experience. As a key member of the team, the Marketing Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams to position Roots as a leader in the Islamic Education industry while ensuring all marketing efforts align with our mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Marketing Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to achieve organisational goals, including brand awareness, lead generation, and customer retention.

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.

• Brand Management & Positioning:

  • Strengthen the organisation’s brand identity and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.

  • Lead efforts to position the brand as an industry leader, driving differentiation and competitive advantage.

• Campaign Planning & Execution:

  • Oversee the creation and execution of marketing campaigns across digital, print, and traditional channels.

  • Measure campaign effectiveness, optimising performance and ROI.

• Team Development:

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team.

  • Foster a collaborative, creative, and results-driven environment.

• Content Development:

  • Develop a media strategy that includes high-quality photography and videography to enhance brand storytelling.

  • Oversee the production of visual content for social media, advertisements, websites, and events.

  • Ensure all media content aligns with brand identity and marketing goals.

Preferred Experience:

• Marketing & Branding

  • Some experience in digital marketing, social media, or event promotion.

  • Basic knowledge of social media management, and content creation.

• Involvement with MSAs or ISOCs

• Experience with Muslim Student Associations (MSAs) as a member, volunteer, or organizer.

• Comfortable engaging with Muslim communities and student networks.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Marketing Skills: Proven expertise in brand strategy, digital marketing, and campaign management.

• Innovative: Demonstrated ability to drive growth through innovative and data-driven marketing strategies

• Relationship Building: Proven experience in building and maintaining meaningful relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders.

• Project Management: Strong organisational skills with the ability to support program delivery efficiently.

• Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences, from students to community leaders.

• Commitment to Ihsaan: This role requires someone who strives to deliver their responsibilities with ihsaan.

• Dedication to Service: A heart for khidma (service), and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young Muslims through education.

·Be able to support our online initiatives while collaborating with our team.

What Do We Expect?

·Must be willing to undertake our training programme, which will be completed virtually at a time that suits you.

·Have a DBS check (preferably be on the update service) or be willing to complete one with us.

At Open Ear Foundation, we provide free, confidential companionship to anyone experiencing loneliness or isolation. Our service is powered entirely by warm, well-trained volunteers and we’d love you to become one of them.

What you’ll be doing: As a Volunteer Companionship Officer, you’ll be a friendly, reassuring voice for people who simply need someone to listen. From the comfort of your own home, you will:

• Make regular companionship calls (phone or video) to people facing loneliness
• Listen with warmth, patience, and without judgement
• Build genuine, trusted connections through ongoing conversations
• Help people feel heard, valued, and less alone
• Share simple feedback with our team so we can keep improving our support

Your time, your way, total flexibility:

• You choose your own day and time: mornings, evenings, or weekends, whatever fits around your life
• Work entirely from home: all you need is a phone or laptop and a quiet space
