Job description

This exciting new role offers the right candidate the opportunity to lead LBWP's new innovative training and development programme enabling ex-service users to develop the skills to become frontline workers and progress into employment. 

The Programme Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the programme which will run over three years, supporting several cohorts of trainees, working with internal staff and external consultants to deliver the training programme and ensuring all aspects of the programme meet the trainees' needs. 

Essential skilss and experience include:

  • Significant experience of managing complex programmes involving service users within a charity or similar
  • Experience of supporting and/or directly line managing women from the Global majority with lived experience, sensitively and safely
  • Good understanding of specialist domestic violence and abuse services that support the specific needs of Global Majority women and their children
  • Experience of developing and implementing new programmes, including new systems, processes, internal and external communications, building positive internal and external partnerships
  • Experience of developing qualitative and quantative monitoring systems and effectively implementing themation and meeting deadlines

London Black Women's Project is a specialist ‘by and for’ organisation providing refuge, supported accommodation, and wraparound support programmes for Black and minoritised (Global Majority) women and their children who are survivors of domestic violence and abuse. We work across London in partnership with London boroughs, the specialist women's DV sector, funders and community services to provide holistic wraparound support and advice.
