Location: The role is national, managing teams in Northern Ireland, Wales and across England. You will need to be able to work at one of our BookTrust offices in London, Leeds, Belfast or Cardiff for an average of 8 days per month whilst some of these collaboration days may be worked in partner locations, at events or stakeholder meetings in any part of the country. This is a new role within the organisation and the postholder will be responsible for defining aspects of the role, building relationships and processes that will enhance our ways of working as part of wider organisational processes. 

You will be an excellent communicator who manages up effectively and who is comfortable working across a matrixed managed team. You will work closely with the Director of Partnerships in building relationships, systems and processes that support our delivery across regions and countries as well as working closely with key role holders such as but not confined to the Head of Partnerships Development, and Head of Programme for Vulnerable Children.

The Head of Partnerships Delivery will lead and coordinate our early years scaled programme delivery as well as ensuring activities to support delivery and development of our vulnerable children’s work are catered or within team processes and relationship building with strategic and local stakeholders.

This work spans the organisation – and will have a close working relationships with key stakeholders in operations on aspects of the work as well as to research and impact, design and innovation, growth planning, communications, profile-raising and income generation – and requires strong collaborative working to draw on skills and capacity in all these areas.

Main Purpose: To provide integrated classroom and employment support to learners on The Autism Project (TAP), enabling them to develop independence, employability skills, and readiness for adulthood. The role combines in-class learning support with job coaching responsibilities, including work placements, employer liaison, and learner progression tracking.

You will work with: TAP staff and senior management team, Employer Engagement Officer, other CareTrade staff, local authorities, and other external partners e.g., external partners (e.g. schools, employers), as well as learners and parents/carers.

Your place and hours of work: Main office at Larcom Street, SE17 1RT plus regular travel throughout London. Hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm (allowing an hour for lunch). 37.5 hrs. a week. Candidates must be willing to be a little flexible to facilitate learner-parent meetings and occasional presentations in the early evening. Time may be taken in lieu for unsocial hours worked, where necessary.

We are recruiting for Floating Support Worker who will support the Ascent Pan London Service in building sustainable referral pathways and joint working protocols with a range of partners working with survivors of domestic abuse.

You will provide capacity-building in the form of advice, advocacy, support, and briefings across the London boroughs to statutory agencies and community organizations around the needs of  domestic abuse survivors, to embed best practice across our communities.

You will have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to women as well as up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to survivors of gender-based violence. You will have excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and be a proactive team player.

Main Purpose: To provide full-time support to learners within the Building Independence (BI) pathway at The Autism Project (TAP).

About the Role
The Communications and Events Officer will be responsible for communication working closely with the Executive Director & the Fundraising Manager to advance FORWARD’s mission by using communications as a tool for social change. This role will deliver FORWARD’s communication and events, working with colleagues to shape narratives to challenge harmful norms, and amplify the leadership and voices of African women and girls.

You will work across the organisation to develop powerful, ethical and impactful stories to help influence policy, engage donors and the public and mobilise supporters. You will be required to translate complex and sensitive issues into communications that are accessible, culturally competent and rooted in a survivor-centred approach. You will ensure FORWARD’s traditional and digital presence is maximised. The role will support campaigns and fundraising to build a sustainable base and help contribute to long-term systemic change.

We are looking for someone who:

· Is experienced in a communications role

· Is highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities

· Has excellent communication and writing skills

· Has strong understanding of communications as a tool for social change, movement building and advocacy

· Has experience managing social media channels and growing engagement across platforms

· Has experience supporting or coordinating events (online and in person), including logistics, promotion and post event reporting

· Is able to work independently and take initiative

The Role

What will I be doing?

The Manager, Physics Workforce is a key role in the team with a core purpose of supporting and shaping activities that develop a strong and robust evidence base through research to:

• Identify the skills needs of physics powered sectors and champion new ways to meet them. 
• Highlight the often-hidden contribution of physics skills to our economy.

Projects you may work on include:

• A multi‑year, Physics Workforce programme that delivers evidence and insight on physics skills across the UK and Ireland.
• Development of sector deep dive projects to identify impactful policy, industry and IOP/partner-led solutions to identified shortages and challenges(with associated reports and stakeholder engagement).
• Supporting the workforce and skills elements of policy submissions and other initiatives across IOP’s strategic pillars of Skills, Science and Society.

Who will I work with?

You’ll work closely with a range of colleagues and stakeholders, including:

• Strategic influencers across the skills ecosystem.
• Physics-based sector and industry stakeholders, including those holding IOP Membership.
• A wide range of colleagues across the IOP - Policy and Public Affairs; Membership; Science, Business and Data Insights; Communications and Marketing; Nations; and EDI.

Ideally, we hope you’ll apply if you bring:

Essential:

• Credible evidence of translating data, evidence, and stakeholder insight, into compelling narrative (through the writing of reports and similar communication assets).
• Project management competence and experience, including leading high profile, initiation-to-evaluation, multi-stakeholder programmes.
• A strong background of leading stakeholder and desk-based research to drive influence and engagement, ideally developed through a STEM-based policy, public affairs or research role.

Nice to have:

• An understanding of the skills ecosystem and the challenges faced by STEM-based sectors.
• Line management experience.

How will I be working?

We operate a flexible, trust based working model that gives colleagues autonomy over how, when and where they work, while recognising the value of in person collaboration. You will be assigned a base office, with hybrid working offered as standard.

You will engage in regular in person collaboration with your team (as operational appropriate), as well as with colleagues across the wider organisation, to ensure effective operational alignment and to support our inclusive approach to working.

As an organisation we also meet in person once a quarter at our Head Office in Kings Cross, London.

Working closely with the Deputy CEO, you will help bring our governance and business management to life through a collaborative, network leadership approach—working across teams, services, and sites to build shared understanding, consistency, and trust. You’ll lead a central business support team and work in partnership with colleagues, Trustees and senior leaders to ensure our governance, risk, and assurance arrangements are clear, connected, and effective.
 
You’ll also take on the role of Data Protection Officer, helping us care for sensitive information with the same integrity and respect we show to the children and families we support.
 
This is a hands-on role, where your organisation, judgement, and ability to bring people together will make a real difference—helping us work smarter, strengthen resilience, and focus on what matters most.
 
About you
You are an experienced and values-driven professional with a senior level background in governance, business management, or corporate administration. You believe in collaboration over hierarchy, bring people together with warmth and clarity, and take pride in creating inclusive, high-performing teams. You are organised, thoughtful, and motivated by making a positive impact.
 
• Essential experience required includes:
• Strong working knowledge of governance frameworks (charity/public sector), regulatory compliance and assurance processes, data protection legislation (UK GDPR/DPA 2018)
• Experience supporting Boards or Trustees
• Proven experience developing and maintaining governance frameworks and processes
• Managing organisational records, policies, and compliance registers
• Coordinating or leading cross-organisational projects
