We are currently seeking a cook to join Queen Crescent Community Association's Youth Services team in preparing delicious meals in our youth centre kitchen during school holiday times. We offer free, hot, healthy meals to the young people who attend our holiday programmes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for planning and cooking healthy and delicious meals that young people will appreciate, and an overall belief in the importance of youth work to support the wellbeing of disadvantaged young people.

Your duties and reponsibilities will be:

• Oversee all kitchen operations during shifts
• Plan a variety of recipes that young people will enjoy and that will support a healthy lifestyle for them
• Prepare a variety of meals according to food safety standards
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with all young people
• Meet young people’s individual dietary needs upon request
• Ensure effective safeguarding of young people during all cooking processes
• Undertake relevant administrative duties including monitoring and evaluation of the service and recording outcomes

The right person will have: 

• Have or be working to a L2 Food Hygiene accreditation 
• Minimum 1 years experience working in a kitchen 
• Knowledge of various cooking methods and procedures 
• Able to work on initiative 
• Be punctual and reliable

What you will do:

The Investment Partnerships and Advisory manager will be responsible for day-to-day activities in relation to engaging with investors, business development and advisory project delivery work.

• Relationship management: nurturing new and ongoing relationships with investors and other key partners in the social investment ecosystem, including developing Advisory opportunities.
• Delivering advisory projects: delivering quality advice to clients, supporting them to progress on their impact investment activities. Projects may include landscape analysis, strategy development and/or the design of innovative investment solutions.
• Supporting the development of new market solutions: Helping develop creative and innovative solutions to social issues where social impact investment can be an important part of the solution.
• Market analysis: Undertaking detailed analysis of the market, prospective investors, and the financial, social impact and systems change cases of investment opportunities
• Stakeholder engagement: facilitating BSC’s participation in workshops, networking events, and other investor initiatives that help unlock more capital for impact.
• Content creation: originating and owning high quality, effective presentations, reports and pitch decks to showcase the value of social investment and present insights to investors.
• Internal stakeholder management: working closely with BSC’s investment and engagement groups to help bring insights & connections to BSC’s investment and market building activities.

Job Title: Health and Nature Community Connector

Location: This role is based in Luton. The service is approximately a 20 minute walk from Luton railway station, or a short bus journey with several local bus routes stopping nearby on New Bedford Road. Hybrid working with 2 days from home; the remaining days are community based, involving travel within Luton to locations such as the community garden, Synergy office, and local GP surgeries. We are seeking a proactive, organised and compassionate individual to join our community based open recovery and wellbeing service as a Health and Nature Community Connector. In this role, you will identify members needs and provide person centred, tailored support to help them overcome challenges and improve their wellbeing through nature based activities and green landscape interventions. This is a dynamic role suited to someone passionate about the power of nature in supporting recovery and community connection. You will act as a key triage, coordination and partnership lead to ensure individuals are connected to the right level of support, whether through short term engagement within the service or onward signposting to community opportunities.

You will act as the primary point of contact a referrals, oversee volunteer buddy support and collaborate with a skilled internal team delivering interventions. This community focused role suits someone who enjoys working with people, building relationships and supporting individuals to improve their wellbeing. Key Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting members who may be facing challenges with focus on social isolation, mental health, and connection to nature
• Manage and triage referrals from self referrals and partner organisations, acting as the main triage point to ensure individuals are connected to appropriate support.

As MAAC prepares for the planned departure of its current postholder, the organisation is seeking an exceptional Director of Finance to join the Executive Team. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, the Finance Director is a key member of the Charity’s Leadership Team, providing strategic financial direction across the Group (the parent charity and its trading subsidiary). This role ensures the organisation remains financially resilient, well‑governed, and strongly positioned to deliver its mission for the long term – through working collaboratively with the Chief Executive, Leadership Team and Board members.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Play a key role as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), contributing to organisational strategy and fostering strong cross‑department collaboration.  Work collaboratively with the Chief Executive and SLT to develop and maintain the three-year strategic plan, ensuring financial projections, assumptions, and scenario planning are based on accurate data and sound forecasting.
• Provide strategic financial leadership that supports long‑term sustainability, future growth, and the delivery of critical services.

About You

You will be a professionally qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with substantial senior‑level experience and the credibility to operate confidently at Board level. Most importantly, you will embody strong values, show high emotional intelligence, and be genuinely motivated to contribute to MAAC’s mission. Charity sector experience is essential -  with a thorough understanding of what it takes to promote financial best practice, control spend and assist with income generation in sizable Not-for-Profit environments. The Hepatitis C Trust (HCT) is the UK patient-led charity for hepatitis C. The arrival of highly effective drugs allows us to cure almost everyone who has access to them. We now have an unprecedented opportunity to eliminate hepatitis C by 2030.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled manager who has excellent communication and organisational skills. Working under the guidance of the Southern Regional Manager, you will oversee an expanding network of peer programs and staff in London.

Experience of healthcare working with disadvantaged groups and an understanding of providing services to vulnerable people is essential, alongside an understanding of how lived experience can support this work.

Your work will involve maintaining and monitoring our existing HCT peer projects across London. This will involve providing support and supervision to existing staff, managing operational issues on a day-to-day basis and overseeing the management of separate projects. 

This post also involves regular liaison with external partners across the region, including key stakeholders such as Operational Delivery Network (ODN) managers for each area, alongside senior NHS colleagues, drug and alcohol services etc.

Purpose of the role

To deliver the Day One Casework bedside model to patients, or those closest to them, impacted by serious or multiple injuries which could result in life changing consequences, such as disability or death, within James Cook University Hospital, providing support on some of the wards (such as rehabilitation), on-site clinics and other settings (e.g. rehabilitation centres). 

Have a visible physical presence within the Trust, becoming embedded into clinical teams focussing on major trauma pathways, facilitating outpatient and in-person legal clinics.

Key Responsibilites

The post holder’s primary duties and responsibilities are as follows: 

• Work closely, and in partnership, with NHS clinical staff and relevant community and voluntary sector organisations, to address the needs of patients, and those closest to them, affected by serious and life-changing injury. 

• Operate a case management approach to individuals, assessing and identifying needs, putting support in place including signposting, making referrals and direct support. 

• Provide consistency in assessment of all patients and their loved ones, irrespective of injury cause, age, status, giving access to the earliest possible specialist legal advice which supports rehabilitation and NHS cost recovery. 

• Maintain detailed case records, including accurate records of activity and intervention, using Day One’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, capturing and storing data in line with Day One policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. 

• Contributing towards report writing through the writing case studies and narrative to support data collection. 

• Implement processes and procedures to collect patient and family feedback and contribute to ongoing monitoring and evaluation of Day One services through providing relevant information, case studies and reports. 

• Deliver awareness raising presentations to clinical colleagues and departments. 

• Organise and facilitate outpatient and in person legal clinic drop-in sessions. 

• Build awareness of the role and charity’s purpose through building strong and effective relationships across the regional major trauma network, ensuring those who need it have access to Day One support. 

• Work closely with local authority, statutory and voluntary organisations to provide patient and family support and advocacy. 

• Help establish other support mechanisms once a person is no longer within the hospital setting, supporting the patient discharge process in conjunction with leadership from NHS staff. 

• Identify and support the recruitment and supervision of Day One volunteers, where appropriate. 

• Work closely in partnership with our Peer Support Service, focussed on promoting awareness and uptake within the region. 

• Work closely with the wider team on performance, quality, safety and effectiveness of all services, ensuring appropriate safeguarding policies are followed. 

• Work closely with our Fundraising and Communications team, supporting national activity, as well as regional initiatives to raise awareness and fundraise. 

• Be prepared to travel across the region and, on occasion, to other sites and national meetings as required. 

• Willingness to undertake continuous development and training for the role, including mandatory Day One and NHS Trust specific training. 

• Participate in external clinical supervision and monthly caseworker reflective practice to sessions to effectively explore and uphold professional boundaries within a safe, structure and supportive environment.

To work closely with those impacted by serious and life-changing injury, taking referrals and carrying out initial assessments of need, expertly navigating, signposting and putting services in place in the immediate aftermath of major trauma, including talking about and facilitating timely access to legal support to aid rehabilitation.

To establish and develop relationships with key stakeholders to promote Day One and address the needs of those affected by serious and life-changing injury. 

To work as part of the wider Day One Service’s team and organisation, taking responsibility for own record keeping and data collection in line with regulatory requirements.

About Adolescent Health Study

The Adolescent Health Study (AHS) is an ambitious new UKRI-funded initiative to establish a prospective, longitudinal population study that will generate a globally leading open science data platform and research resource. AHS aims to recruit at least 100,000 young people from across the UK and to follow their mental and physical health and wellbeing over at least 10 years. It plans to collect data through questions and measures; to obtain bio-samples for a wide range of genomic and other high-throughput assays; and to capture linked data relevant to health and wellbeing from participants’ health, education and other administrative records. There will be a strong emphasis on engaging with and involving young people, schools, parents and other relevant stakeholders in the design and delivery of the study, as well as on including young people that represent as wide as possible a range of backgrounds, experiences and characteristics. AHS will focus on enabling a wide range of research, including studies of the critical biological and social developments that occur during the transition from childhood to adulthood and the determinants of both mental and physical health and wellbeing in adolescents and young adults.

Purpose of the post

The Research Officer will play a key role in supporting the scientific foundation, development, and coordination of AHS. The post holder will focus initially on supporting the development of the AHS pilot, contributing as required to methods selection, co-development of materials and assessment processes, writing of protocols and ethics submissions and preliminary testing of processes. Activities will involve conducting comprehensive literature reviews, supporting the development of piloting tools and protocols, engagement with schools, adolescents and parents, and addressing operational and logistical considerations necessary for successful delivery. The position is essential to ensuring the pilot and future study are grounded in robust evidence and implemented effectively.

Main responsibilities

Research & Evaluation

• Support in summarising existing evidence, and ongoing work with the research community, to identify insights and knowledge gaps that inform piloting and study research questions
• Support in conducting literature reviews and background research on determinants of adolescent health and identify tools and measures suitable for field-based assessment
• Contribute to the design and delivery of qualitative and/or quantitative research activities in support of study set-up
• Contribute to the design and delivery of public engagement and involvement activities

Piloting Design & Planning

• Contribute to developing piloting protocols and frameworks
• Assist in drafting documents for submission for ethical approval
• Help design, test and adapt measurement tools (e.g. questionnaires) and visit processes
• Support in the preparation of piloting recruitment materials
• Assist in the recruitment of, and relationship building with, schools for pre-testing

Data Collection & Fieldwork Support

• Support procurement of logistics for fieldwork
• Support in the preparation of field worker training materials
• Support training for data collectors and field staff
• Assist in data collection where required
• Be a part of a core team that ensures adherence to ethical standards and protocols

Piloting Coordination Support

• Support meetings and workshops on workstreams
• Support write-up of feasibility testing findings, and contribute to revisions on plans based on findings
• Support the senior study project manager as required on managing piloting timelines, risks and progress

Administrative and Logistical Support

• Take meeting minutes for the scientific study team as required
• Manage piloting documentation and version controls
• Respond to stakeholder queries as required

Knowledge, skills and experience

Essential criteria

• A Masters degree in epidemiology, public health, social sciences, or a related discipline
• Demonstrable experience in supporting research studies, preferably in population and/or adolescent health.
• Ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights
• Ability to synthesise literature and evidence concisely for reporting to diverse audiences
• Evidence of strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to contribute to protocols and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
•  Ability to form strong working relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders at all levels, both in person and virtually.

Desirable criteria

• A PhD in epidemiology, public health, social sciences, or a related discipline (completed or due to be submitted within 3 months of application)
• Prior experience of working on adolescent health, youth development, or related public health issues
• Experience of conducting and reporting on literature reviews
• Experience with Research Ethics Committee submissions
• Good knowledge of basic principles of ethical research
• Clear understanding of study designs (including piloting) and data collections tools, and their application in school settings
• Experience with the development, testing, or adaptation of research instruments (e.g. questionnaires)
• Experience of working with young people and/or schools (through research and/or public involvement)

• Flexible working will be required across several geographical locations in the UK.  Travel may be required to AHS locations, fieldwork sites and partner organisations

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking an experienced and influential Policy and Public Affairs Manager to lead our work in Northern Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to shape policy, influence decision-makers, and ensure the voices of paediatricians and child health professionals are heard at the highest levels.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Policy and External Affairs / Head of Policy and Public Affairs (Devolved Nations), you will lead the College’s policy and public affairs activity in Northern Ireland. You will develop and communicate policy positions that reflect the national context, engage senior stakeholders across government and the health sector, and maximise the College’s influence to improve child health outcomes.

You will work closely with colleagues across the UK to ensure our four-nation advocacy is aligned, while remaining responsive to the specific needs of our members in Northern Ireland. You will also line manage a Policy and Public Affairs Officer, supporting their development and overseeing external-facing outputs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the development of policy positions and public affairs outputs specific to Northern Ireland
• Engaging with Ministers, MLAs, government officials, statutory services, and third sector stakeholders to influence policy and practice
• Producing and overseeing consultation responses and policy briefings
• Acting as a source of expertise on the Northern Ireland political and health landscape
• Supporting College Officers with high-level stakeholder engagement through briefings and policy advice
• Drafting media content including quotes, press releases and opinion pieces in collaboration with communications colleagues
• Managing the College’s presence at the Northern Ireland Assembly and party conferences
• Line managing and developing the Policy and Public Affairs Officer (Northern Ireland)

Essential skills and experience include:

• A primary degree and/or extensive relevant experience in policy and public affairs or a related field
• Proven experience of developing and delivering a measurable and successful public affairs strategy
• Experience of preparing high-quality briefings for political stakeholders and senior leaders
• Strong understanding of the political and health policy landscape in Northern Ireland
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively

Purpose of the post

The Finance Business Partner plays a crucial role within HDR UK, as the key point of contact and financial support for the Institute Office teams. The Finance Business Partner supports key non- finance stakeholders to provide timely and insightful analysis and reporting and supports with the alignment of financial plans to operational and strategic priorities. The role will support the Institute Office as well as some of our separately funded programmes. The Finance Business Partner is responsible for the management of the Institute’s support costs and recharges, and therefore plays a pivotal role in the long-term financial sustainability of HDR UK. The role is responsible for maintaining clear and effective communication between the Finance team and the wider business and for ensuring that financial concepts and priorities are understood by the Institute Office and programme teams.

Main responsibilities

• Work with Budget Holders to manage financial performance, forecasts, and budgeting including understanding financial opportunities and risk for the area of business partnership.

• Lead on monthly reporting to the Institute Office and Programme teams, including posting month end journals, meeting with Budget Holders to discuss performance and budget variance and providing commentary and analysis on reports.

• Provide donor reporting and analysis as required to funders of specific programmes.

• Work with the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to plan, deliver, and review the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.

• Support the Associate Director of Finance and Head of FP&A to continuously review and update the 5-year financial plan.

• Support with projects and new process development to continuously improve and evolve our approach to internal financial reporting and modern finance business partnering.

• Support the Finance Business Partnering function with ad hoc reports and grant management and reporting.

As a Housing Officer & Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering intensive housing management and personalised support to people from diverse backgrounds. Using strength based and Trauma Informed Practice, you will ensure each person receives the guidance they need. You will offer a warm welcome to new tenants as they begin their journey with Stay, ensuring they feel informed, safe, and comfortable in their new environment. Through choice led planning, you will support tenants to work toward their housing aspirations and achieve their personal goals.
