The Community Support Worker will provide direct, practical and person-centered support to mentees approaching release from prison and after release into the community. In this role you will take the lead on vital Headway UK projects and work alongside colleagues in the wider Services Department to help support our key front-line services.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As Services Coordinator, you will take the lead on three of Headway UK’s vital services. You will be responsible for processing applications to our Emergency Fund, which provides travel and accommodation grants to family members, to support them to be at the bedside of loved ones, when their family member is in hospital, after acquiring a brain injury. Your role will include making recommendations for funding, signposting applicants onto other organisations, keeping detailed records and producing basic financial reports to highlight the Emergency Funds’ position throughout the year.
You will also lead the annual renewal of the Headway UK’s Solicitor’s Directory, ensuring it remains a vital resource for those seeking specialist solicitors with experience in handling brain injury cases.
You will support the delivery of Headway UK’s training programme through effective administrative support, including managing the training mailbox, responding to enquiries, distributing certificates, and liaising with delegates and associate trainers.
You will work alongside colleagues within the wider Services Department to provide exceptional administrative support
On occasion you will also be required to work with the Project Lead for Brain Injury Identity Cards and assist with processing Brain Injury Identity Card applications.

For more than 30 years, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthen Mind has supported people across the Pembrokeshire and Carmarthen Local Authority areas and the Hywel Dda University Health Board region.
Mental health challenges affect people from all walks of life, and the need for accessible, person-centred support continues to grow. Conditions such as anxiety, depression, and other long-term mental health difficulties remain some of the most common health issues faced by individuals, families, and communities.
Compassionate, local mental health support can make a meaningful difference, we help people build resilience, maintain independence, and find hope during difficult times.
Across the UK, many people experience significant impacts on their daily lives, relationships, and wellbeing because of mental health problems. Harris Hill are thrilled to be working with a well-established community charity in North West London, seeking an experienced Interim Advice Manager to lead a vital advice service supporting people experiencing poverty, hardship and food insecurity.
Brent, London (Hybrid) | £36,565–£41,000 per annum
Fixed term until 30 September 2027, with possibility of extension
The charity provides frontline services that help people move from crisis towards greater stability and independence.
About the role
You will lead the Advice and Open ARMS services across multiple sites, managing staff and volunteers delivering advice on benefits, housing, debt and immigration.
Alongside overseeing day-to-day delivery, you will support service development, quality assurance and improvements to systems and processes. You will also maintain a small caseload and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team.

You will be an experienced advice professional and confident manager, committed to supporting people experiencing hardship.
You will have:
Experience working with refugees and asylum seekers, AQS assessments, safeguarding training, budget management, fundraising or community languages would be desirable.
