As a safeguarding officer, you'll be a vital part of the safeguarding team at Place2Be. Providing safeguarding training to all Place2Be staff and volunteers, across our regional and head office teams. While also providing advice, support, and guidance to Place2Be school-based staff around matters relating to child protection and safeguarding cases.

You'll have experience providing safeguarding and child protection advice and support to professionals working with children, young people and families with thorough knowledge of current legislation, guidance and thresholds on child protection. You'll have experience of delivering training and/or seminars to multi-agency groups.

You're able to occasionally work non - standard hours and to travel throughout the UK to provide training to our services and teams.

Purpose of Job:

Working closely with a Steering Group of senior staff and expert volunteers, you’ll coordinate the modular Christian Environmental Mobilisers (CEMs) course, from helping refine course modules, liaising with expert contributors and ensuring course promotion through A Rocha’s communications, to managing participant registration, scheduling online learning sessions, and helping evaluate impact. The role will report to Andy Atkins, CEO of A Rocha UK and an experienced campaigner and mobiliser.

Job Title: Support Mentor

Location: This role is based in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC), the service is a short walk from Ladbroke Grove (Circle and Hammersmith) station. Unfortunately, this service does not have step free access.

Salary: £27,000

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday on a rota which can range between 09:00 - 17:00 or 13:00 - 21:00. You may be required to work outside these hours dependent on service and resident requirements including weekends and bank holidays. 

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Mentor to join our team based in RBKC to support our residents who have multiple and complex needs which could include mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds. You will support in providing our residents with the support needed to help them overcome their personal barriers, and achieve their goals in a person centred approach. You will work within a residential setting, creating a safe and comfortable space which our residents can call their homes during their time within the service.

Some Key Responsibilities Include:

• Supporting residents with daily tasks who may be facing challenges with complex needs such as mental health, substance use, and offending backgrounds.
• Create tailored support plans through one to one sessions, group sessions, and multi agency meetings
• Holding a caseload, conducting key work sessions which are personable to their needs
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing, carrying out regular welfare checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies
• Encourage residents to take part in activities and events such as movie nights, cooking evenings, and games nights
• Keep support plans up to date on a regular basis
• Work closely with the rest of the team to provide overall excellent service delivery, this may mean also supporting with their caseloads, and other tasks as necessary
• Carry out general housing management support

About You

We're looking for someone who has a true passion to support those who have multiple and complex needs, with a drive to help support those who suffer with homelessness, mental health, and substance use. You will be able to build rapport and trusting relations in a professional setting, and able to build positive outcomes. You will have an adaptable and flexible approach to helping others, with an understanding that each individual has different levels and types of support needs. 

• Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector, particularly around multiple and complex needs
• Ability to show empathy and compassion to our residents, and different challenges they face
• Ability to use, learn and adapt to IT at an intermediate level, including Microsoft and other software programs
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents

The Role

As the Financial Controller, you will report to the Finance & HR Director and support the Finance & HR Director in leading day-to-day financial operations, taking ownership of transactional accounting and month-end reconciliations. You’ll maintain the general ledger, ensure data integrity across systems, and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control functions. The role involves coordinating payroll, preparing management accounts and VAT returns, supporting budget preparation and assisting with year-end accounts and external audits.

You’ll also manage the Assistant Finance Manager and play a key role in the organisation’s financial stability and operational success.

In your roles, you will work closely with the Finance & HR Director to support the development and implementation of Financial Policies and processes and ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the month-end reconciliation process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including credit control activities, with support from the Assistant Finance Manager.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure data integrity between accounting systems.
• Coordinate payroll administration and liaise with external payroll providers.
• Prepare management accounts and financial reports.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in line with regulatory requirements.
• Support budget preparation and variance analysis throughout the financial year.

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification).
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a hands-on finance role with transactional accounting responsibilities.
• Proven experience managing the month-end close and preparing management accounts.
• High-level Excel proficiency and ability to work with financial data confidently.
• Experience with accounting software (Xero experience is advantageous).
• Proactive self-starter with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Experience in the charity sector, including technical expertise in Charity SORP, is advantageous.

Job Description 

Lead research and policy projects 

You will lead our Research and Policy team and manage our research experts. This will include leading on existing and new projects from concept design to funder reporting, as well as conducting research in different areas of economic and social policy like social security, pensions, VAWG, labour market, social care, etc.

Maintain and forge external partnerships 

You will maintain, identify and forge new collaborations with academics, feminist organisations and economics think tanks. 

Represent WBG at external events and to the media 

You will represent WBG in meetings with key stakeholders and speak at external events. You will also be a spokesperson for the press, radio and broadcast TV to promote WBG’s research and analysis. 

Contribute to our advocacy strategy 

You will work closely with our Communications and Public Affairs team to ensure our research outputs are relevant to our advocacy goals and that they are accessible to a wide range of audiences, including policymakers, politicians, journalists, and feminist campaigning organisations. 

Supervise our research and policy support programme 

In collaboration with our Head of Training and Capacity Building you will expand our programme of research and policy support for grassroots organisations in the UK and internationally. 

Manage a team and support its members 

You will be leading not only projects but also people. You will have experience of supporting, motivating and leading a team of people and supporting them to develop new skills and grow in their careers. This includes staff members and paid interns. 

Hours: 30 hours per week. We operate a shorter working week with 30 hours the equivalent of full time. We are happy to consider a secondment role and/or flexible working arrangements. Some out of hours working will be required for which TOIL will be given.

This position offers extensive hybrid working, primarily remote with occasional attendance at their Head Office in central London. You will be part of a high performing People and Culture team, where you will line manage a People Business Partner.

This operational role, reports into the Deputy Director of People and Culture on a daily basis. You will act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, ensuring the effective delivery of employee relations, recruitment and organisational change activity across the organisation.

Some of the key responsibilities of this part-time 12-month FTC Senior People Business Partner role include:

• Acting as a senior trusted adviser to directors and leadership teams, providing expert guidance on complex employee relations matters.
• Overseeing and resolving high-risk and complex ER cases, including those requiring legal advisor involvement.
• Leading organisational change initiatives, including restructures, transformation programmes and TUPE transfers.
• Implementing a strategic approach to workforce planning, recruitment and resourcing.
• Using people data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive a more data-led culture.
• Coaching and developing managers to build leadership capability and embed high performance practices.
• Overseeing policy development and review in line with employment legislation and best practice.
• Championing the organisation’s values, including equality, diversity and inclusion

The ideal candidate will be an experienced CIPD qualified senior HR Business Partner with a strong HR operations background. You will have proven experience managing complex ER cases, leading teams and building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience of leading restructures and TUPE processes are essential. It would be very advantageous to have experience of working in the not-for profit sector.

A busy Higher Education provider is seeking a proactive and well organised Admissions Officer to support their admissions function on a fulltime, onsite basis in Fitzrovia. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys delivering excellent customer service, working with data, and ensuring applicants have a smooth and positive experience throughout the admissions process. 

You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of applications across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The role involves liaising with internal teams and external bodies, supporting compliance-related processes, and contributing to improvements in systems and procedures. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage the end-to-end administration of student applications 
• Provide clear advice and guidance on admissions procedures and entry requirements 
• Assess applicant qualifications, eligibility and fee status 
• Support international admissions processes, including compliance checks

What We're Looking For 

Essential: 

• Educated to degree level or equivalent

• Knowledge of UCAS and/or UKVI procedures

• Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines 
• Confident using Microsoft Office 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret data 

Desirable: 

• Knowledge of legislation affecting international and EU applicants 
• Previous supervisory experience

The Role

As our Operations Assistant, you will support a seamless customer journey at the Hyde Park and The Regents Park Tennis venues, from arrival through to departure.

Acting as a first point of contact, you’ll engage with customers across our facilities, responding to enquiries, encouraging repeat bookings, and escalating complaints when needed, while consistently delivering a high standard of customer service.

You’ll also help maintain safe, well-managed venues by promoting positive customer behaviour, managing expectations around court usage, and supporting the procedures that keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

Additionally, you will:

• Provide information about the surrounding park environment
• Process bookings for all visitors
• Handle tenders in line with financial policies
• Support the preparation of areas for activities and events
• Attend team briefings

About You

To be considered as an Operations Assistant, you will need:
