Job Details

Pay Currently £14.72 per hour ( £11482 - £15310 dependent on hours worked). This will be reviewed each  November as we are committed to raising pay rates in line with increases in the Real Living Wage.

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Property and Carbon Projects Coordinator who will coordinate day-to-day management of the Woodland Trust’s land and property processes, and third-party carbon projects, particularly in Scotland where the majority of our carbon projects are under development

The Role: 
•    Support the delivery of Woodland Carbon Code projects by producing documentation, managing project data, and helping meet compliance and audit requirements.
•    Act as a first point of contact for Land & Property queries and communications, ensuring smooth and professional engagement.

•    Assist with the creation of estate reports, legal documentation, and processes for site-specific data collection.

Fundraising and Administration Officer

Contract: Full time, 12 month fixed-term with potential for the role to develop into a permanent position. 

Salary: £25,000 based on 35hr working week.

Child. org is a Nairobi-based, UK-registered charity that champions community-based healthcare solutions to make pregnancies and births safer. We work with pregnant women, new mums, communities and local health authorities in Kenya to provide life-saving antenatal and post-natal health information, connect at-risk mums and babies with the healthcare services they need and work with local health authorities to advocate for and improve the quality of care. 

Our Income Team, based in Bristol in the UK, brings together fundraising and enterprise streams to raise vital funds to support our project work in Kenya, as well as leading our digital communications and supporter stewardship.

The Opportunity

Alongside these exciting developments our fundraising revenue is growing. Our two flagship events, Ride Africa and Charity Concierge, are thriving and we are now actively investing in our capacity to help us reach new audiences and continue to develop their potential.

The Role

As Fundraising and Administration Officer, you’ll support the fundraising team across our events and supporter stewardship. This varied role will see you work with the team across events and project management, fundraising stewardship and communications alongside incredible international and national travel opportunities supporting Ride Africa and Charity Concierge events. 

Key Objectives

• Support the Events Officer with the delivery of our biggest ever Charity Concierge season across the summer of 2026 providing support for volunteer recruitment and management, and critical on-site support at various festivals

• Support the Child. org team with the delivery of Ride Africa in November 2025; providing valuable support to participants and managing enquiries/requests. 

• Big Give Campaign 2025: support the Communications Officer to hit our Big Give Christmas Challenge appeal target, leading on the timely thanking of donors and supporting the promotion of the appeal through social media and newsletters

• Other events support: support the Events Officer to plan 25th birthday celebration and supporter event in London (The Shindig) and the mentoring and stewardship of our first ever London Marathon team. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Event management support (60%)

  • Event management

    • Procurement support: follow procurement plan and guidelines to source equipment, ensuring delivery to budget and within allocated time frames. 

    • Budget management: log and monitor expenditure across all events, being sure to keep us on track and in line with budget.

    • Equipment management and stock takes: responsible for looking after and ensuring safe storage and tracking of equipment to maximize longevity. 

    • Regular project support: track and follow project management plan for event delivery; work with the Events Officer to prioritise and allocate tasks and resources. 

    • On site support: support the Events team to deliver our flagship events: Ride Africa and Charity Concierge. This includes events set up: erecting gazebos, driving, loading/unloading.

    • Volunteer/participant management. Managing volunteers and participants at our events. Be the first point of contact for queries, respond to challenges and manage day-to-day morale throughout the events 

• Participant management: 

  • Support the Events Officer to track, measure and manage participant recruitment across our Events Programme 

  • Support the Events Officer with participant communications pre and post event, across Mailchimp, WhatsApp, email and more

  • Fundraising support: track fundraising through third party platforms such as JustGiving and Enthuse, ensuring event fundraising totals are up to date; mentor and support events fundraisers with exceptional stewardship.

 

Fundraising administration and stewardship support (30%)

• Update digital resources (fundraising pages, website, WhatsApp groups) and maintain digital templates and documentation. 

• Deliver high standards of supporter care, including responding to general correspondence (email and phone) and queries regarding fundraising, and ensuring timely thanks to donors.

• Fundraising administration, reconciliation and reporting: ensure Donorfy records are up to date, accurate and kept in accordance with GDPR requirements. 

• Big Give campaign support: track and monitor campaign donations through the Big Give campaign; with the Communications Officer ensure timely thanking and brilliant stewardship of donors. 

Events Marketing support (10%): 

• Social media and digital design tools: use Canva and Hootsuite to publish regular posts to the Charity Concierge and Ride Africa socials (Instagram, Facebook and TikTok), to increase reach, engagement and sign ups.

• Research and develop relationships within the local and surrounding communities to increase support and fundraising income through event participation.

• Work closely with the Communications and Fundraising Officer to keep event websites up to date and make changes to any pages where necessary.

Person Specification

Skills and experience:

Speaking and listening skills underpin our success in school, work and throughout our lives. Developing young people’s oracy skills equips them with the tools needed to navigate education systems, pursue career ambitions and achieve their potential. Like reading, writing and maths, oracy is an essential, foundational building block that prepares young people to thrive in society.

Despite extensive evidence that high quality oracy education increases students’ confidence, wellbeing, engagement, progress and attainment, oracy is not an essential, everyday feature of every child’s school experience. About this opportunity

Help us make oracy education an everyday entitlement for every child, in every school, by growing and diversifying Voice 21’s voluntary funding. 

As Voice 21 embarks on its ambitious next five-year strategy, we are looking to strengthen our team with a talented and ambitious Fundraising Manager. Your role will support the Head of Fundraising, CEO and wider team to develop new sources of high value support for Voice 21, working flexibly across trusts and foundations, corporate and philanthropic fundraising.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a knack for identifying funding opportunities and discovering new prospects. With excellent research, communication and relationship-building skills, you’ll work collaboratively with senior colleagues to strengthen our pipeline and drive long term growth in voluntary income. You’ll also contribute your ideas and initiative to develop and deliver compelling engagement opportunities for current and potential supporters, and lead on reporting impact to funders. Ultimately the post-holder is expected to grow in this role, to manage their own portfolio of high value donors. 

You’ll be joining the fundraising team at an exciting time as we look to build out the function in the coming years. The Head of Fundraising has been in post just over a year, and has put solid foundations in place to support long term growth. With a healthy pipeline already developed for the current and next financial year, you’ll have plenty of lead time to find your feet, with a realistic (shared) fundraising target of securing c.£500K of new voluntary income in 2027. There is significant untapped potential in fundraising for Voice 21. This is a great opportunity for an adaptable, proactive fundraiser to make their mark, gaining experience and developing expertise across high value streams. 

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop a qualified pipeline of trust/foundation and corporate prospects to ensure we achieve voluntary income targets in 2027/28 and beyond. 

• Draft winning funding bids and support the Head of Fundraising and/or CEO to develop compelling proposals and/or pitches. 

• Support and manage the CEO to lead relationships with funders and prospects.

• Lead on managing the funder reporting cycle and ensuring we deliver on our funding agreements, producing timely and inspiring impact reports.

• Drive awareness and understanding of fundraising internally by making connections with colleagues across the organisation and working collaboratively to support achieving fundraising goals. 

• Maintain the quality of data in the fundraising team CRM (Salesforce), managing contacts and pipelines through the database and producing accessible reports on fundraising performance and forecasts. 

Essential knowledge and skills

• Previous high value fundraising experience (trusts and foundations, corporates or philanthropy), with a track record of successfully securing significant donations and achieving income targets.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain a varied workload, deliver to deadlines, and successfully manage multiple work streams and projects.

• Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, with the confidence and evidenced ability to be able to nurture and maintain successful relationships with high value external stakeholders and senior colleagues.

Where you’ll work: All Voice 21 staff work remotely and this is a home-based role. Regular travel to our central London office (by Victoria station) is expected for meetings. Regular travel to visit our projects in schools and/or to meet funders will also be expected. Occasional overnight stays may be required too. Voice 21 pays travel and accommodation expenses. The package of salary and expenses will be considered when agreeing a starting salary with the successful candidate. 

Contract: Permanent, subject to successful probation review after three months.

Volunteering Matters are partnering with Active Suffolk to recruit  6 Community Connectors to work in the following areas of Ipswich:

The role:
