About The Role

The overall remit of this role is to:

1. Lead prospect research and funding trends analysis, identifying strategic opportunities and informing fundraising strategy

2. Strategically map, expand, and cultivate high-value supporter networks, taking ownership of key relationships

3. Design, implement, and optimise comprehensive stakeholder engagement journeys, ensuring a high-quality donor experience

4. Support good governance in Climate Catalyst by planning and organising the work of the board, with direction from the CEO

5. Lead and manage high-level stakeholder engagement strategies, including direct engagement with members of the Strategic Council to foster sustained partnerships.

What you will do

Strategic stakeholder relationship management, engagement and mapping (70%)

• Strategically identify, research, and qualify high-net-worth individuals, foundations, and corporate prospects, developing robust pipelines for major gifts.

• Identify, cultivate, and steward significant donor relationships, focusing on securing major gifts and sustained funding. 

• Design, implement, and lead comprehensive donor cultivation and stewardship strategies, ensuring effective pipeline management and successful solicitation of significant contributions.

• Develop and execute sophisticated communication plans tailored to specific donor segments, ensuring compelling messaging and impact reporting.

• Prepare and deliver high quality briefings, proposals, and presentations for senior leadership to use in high-stakes donor meetings and engagements.

• Support the development and updating of core project materials including key messages, Q&A, response lines, briefings and presentations, tailoring messages to specific audiences, to be used across multiple channels 

• Proactively analyse philanthropic trends, competitor activities, and funding opportunities to support the Director of Fundraising & Communications in adapting Climate Catalyst’s fundraising strategy 

• With support from the Digital Communications Manager, lead the strategic utilisation and optimisation of CRM and fundraising management tools to ensure data integrity, generate actionable insights, and support reporting on fundraising performance.

Board and Strategic Council support (30%)

• Support good governance in Climate Catalyst - by developing the board workplan, organising meetings, securing inputs to these meetings, minute-taking, and ensure follow up on agreed actions (all with direction from the CEO)

• Drive and support pro-active engagement between Climate Catalyst senior staff and individual members of the Strategic Council, with direction from the CEO

• Drive and support pro-active and effective relationship management by the CEO with high-level partners and allies of Climate Catalyst, by planning, preparing and tracking engagement 

What You Would Bring

1. Experience in managing and supporting the governance functions of boards or similar high-level advisory bodies, demonstrating autonomy and initiative.

2. Demonstrated success in managing complex stakeholder relationships, including foundations, high-net-worth individuals, institutional funders, and senior advisors

3. Exceptional project management, organisational, and administrative skills with a proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities and complex workflows.

4. Demonstrated track record of independently identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors or high-value foundations, resulting in significant grants or partnerships.

5. Strong understanding of philanthropic trends, fundraising best practices, and donor lifecycle management.

6. Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot, Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) for donor management, pipeline tracking, and reporting, with an ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.

7. Experience, comfort with, and preference for working across various regions and cultures.

8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling proposals, presentations, and reports for diverse audiences.

9. Ability to schedule work and deliver to tight deadlines

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Specialist Trainer: Domestic Abuse, Gender-Based Violence, and Trauma Informed Working to deliver training to a variety of different audiences. You will be delivering training on an ad-hoc basis, in a range of settings including corporate clients, public sector workers, and other charities.

We are seeking trainers with both frontline and training experience, who can deliver this type of content in compassionate, articulate and accessible ways both in person and online. Rise for Change is the training arm of Hope After Harm and currently provides domestic abuse, sexual harassment, and trauma-informed working training programmes for non-specialist professionals, however, we are aiming to expand our training offer to cover other areas of gender-based violence. Uniquely created by our subject matter experts, our training directly addresses the need for intersectional, and trauma informed training on gender-based violence for professionals in all sectors. We actively promote self-reflection, critical thinking and survivor voice to affect sustainable, inclusive change for survivors. This is what you will bring as a Specialist Trainer:

• A strong knowledge of domestic abuse and other forms of gender-based violence, it’s impacts and working from a trauma-informed perspective.
• Experience as a highly skilled trainer, with the ability to engage people through both in person and remote delivery.
• Preferably, frontline experience of supporting survivors of gender-based violence.
• Understanding of supporting survivors in various settings (e.g. the workforce, as a manager, as a professional with a safeguarding role).
• An empathetic, caring approach to training- to you, learning is not just about providing information but ensuring a holistic approach to the learning environment.
• Skilled user of technology with high literacy of key presenting programmes, video platforms and databases.
• Have a good understanding of the nuances of culture, race, sexual orientation and gender identity within domestic abuse and sexual violence, and be committed to intersectional ways of working.
• Knowledge of adult learning techniques and safeguarding procedures.
• Have excellent communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals.
• Places the survivor at the centre of all that you do.

• To be free from any criminal conviction which would conflict with the responsibilities of the post; you may be required to have a DBS Enhanced disclosure.

● Helping facilitate youth-led events, workshops, and campaigns focused on food system change

● Working with our Scottish partners and building strong working relationships with participating schools, local authorities and other stakeholders

● Supporting with the monitoring, reporting and evaluation of these two programmes Youth Engagement and Voice

● Seeking out meaningful opportunities for young people to engage with and influence decision-makers in Scotland

● Ensuring youth voice is embedded across all programmes and policy work

Policy and Advocacy

● Actively seeking out opportunities to champion Scottish policy developments in health, education, and food systems

● Working closely with other organisations via established coalitions and more informal coordination around key issues, working collaboratively with values-aligned organisations to achieve our goals

● Developing briefings, consultation responses, and policy proposals, ensuring they are evidence-based and amplify youth perspectives

Introduction

Reporting into the Head of Planning & Delivery, this role is the central link between our reactive and planned reactive teams and the rest of the organisation, in particular Country Comms, Policy & Advocacy, and Campaign & Mobilisation teams. It is responsible for making sure all our reactive and planned-reactive comms are managed and delivered across appropriate owned and earned channels.? Strategic Communications colleagues, Media and PR teams, Delivery Managers, key stakeholders across the organisation, and our Content & Creative teams will be your day to day partners.

This role needs to be collaborative, resilient and able to adapt quickly to new information and shifting priorities, understanding when decisions are needed and making sure the right people are involved. Comfortable working in a fast moving environment, collaborating with colleagues across the RSPB and acting as a conduit to keep all teams and stakeholders informed, this role needs to maintain a broad view of activities on all comms channels so that changes can quickly be updated and communicated to the wider group.

This role is required to support the work of the Campaign & Mobilisation team, by delivering reactive and planned reactive one-off emails and/or website updates. This means you will need to be comfortable switching between different ways of working (agile and waterfall) and be able to prioritise your own workload effectively. You will be taking briefs from Activity Owners and managing the delivery work, working closely with our Traffic Management and Content & Creative teams.

This role is expected to be a key part of our planning cycle, making sure our activities across channels are coordinated and aligned. In this way you will wear different hats throughout each day, making sure information is being transferred and decisions are being made at pace; a fundamental and important member of the comms community.

Role specific tasks include:

• Own and maintain a clear, live and accurate 12-week Communications Calendar, and ensure teams understand what is expected of them from both a delivery and an Activity Owner perspective. Making sure there is transparency across all teams, and that information is accessible to all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with our Annual Marcomms Planning process, making sure that the 12-week Comms Calendar reflects the activities agreed in the MarComms Calendar, and that all changes/information is kept up to date.
• Responsible for chairing the ‘Lookahead’ meeting (a group which responds to work within a 12-week timescale) and maintaining the meeting Planner with all relevant information.
• Key stakeholder in the ‘Newsroom’ meeting, making sure that all activities reflect decisions made in the Lookahead meeting and identifying where changes need to be made to accommodate shifting daily priorities.
• Writing delivery briefs, keeping all Activity Owners updated about decisions and progress for reactive and planned-reactive comms, and making sure our Content & Creative teams have the information they need to deliver work.
• Make sure that all required activity requests are submitted for review through our Triage processes, and then take all agreed requirements to the Lookahead meeting for consideration/delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with our Campaigning & Mobilisation teams, taking briefs and working collaboratively to deliver requirements. Manage the lifecycle of the process to enable teams to meet deadlines. Make decisions as appropriate and escalate any issues to the Head of Planning & Delivery.

This position will work closely with Big Six representatives to deliver Capacity building initiatives to YEF awardees, Youth Panellists, and the Global Youth Mobilization GYM Network and be responsible for ensuring coordinated efforts across the project.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage the implementation of the capacity building for the Youth Empowerment Fund of GYM 

2. Collaborate with Big Six Designated Leads in the coordination of the capacity building offer and work plan 

3. Manage relationship with designated project Capacity Building leads in each of the Big Six in activating their national organizations/societies/operators in the YEF 

4. Monitor the Capacity Building project budgets and prepare relevant reports for governance and donors, supporting the MEL officer.

5. Oversee development of advocacy guidance and production of policy recommendations follow up on use of resources following events.

6. Support the development and roll out of the GYM-YEF Network, for peer-peer learning, capacity building opportunities and collecting useful resources for young people’s personal and professional development. 

7. Support the GYM youth-led advocacy objectives and long-term partnerships.

8. Contribute to the staff activities of WAGGGS, participating in staff sharing days, Global Programmes Team departmental meetings and activities and other activities as appropriate.

Over the coming year, The Drive Partnership is looking to review, update, and design new training to offer to The Drive Project workforce. To lead this work, we are recruiting a Drive training team made up of a Senior Training Lead, Training Lead and Training Coordinator.

Main Responsibilities:

Leadership

1. As a member of the Operational Leadership Team and wider Senior Leadership Team, work collaboratively and take collective responsibility for the strategic management and leadership of the organisation.

2. Work closely with the CEO, Treasurer and Board of Trustees to facilitate good governance and risk management.

3. Manage, maintain and develop all financial systems and control; increasing their impact and quality, and implementing best practices in financial management.

4. To supervise finance assistants and ensure that they are adhering to financial code of practices.

Financial Management

1. Lead and manage all aspects of the financial cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, fixed asset management, reserves & designated fund management and financial reporting.

2. Work with HR & Payroll Officer to manage and retain oversight of the day to day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking and general ledger maintenance, including the reconciliation of petty cash, credit cards and all bank accounts on a monthly basis reviewing and approving payment runs and payroll.

3. Work with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to prepare the annual budgets and forecasts.

4. Lead and manage the provision of regular budget monitoring and reports to budget holders.

5. Assist with the budget preparation for funding bids. Manage, monitor and keep track of any grants, funding or commissioned income, working with relevant managers to provide relevant financial information for inclusion in monitoring reports.

6. Lead and manage the provision of quarterly financial reports to the Board and advise them on financial issues as appropriate

7. Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to inform and support organisational management, development and decision[1]making, and funding applications across the organisation.

8. Work with the CEO to prepare medium term financial forecasts for the organisation to support strategic decision-making and delivery of strategic priorities.

9. Lead on the audit process and the preparation of year end accounts to trial balance including preparation of the audit file and the closing down of the accounts on our accounting management system to ensure that the organisation is compliant with legal requirements and good practice.

10. To work closely with the CEO, Senior Leadership Team and designated Trustees to advise, review and cost the annual pay award.

11. To provide back-up and holiday cover for the processing of monthly payroll.

12. To work with and support the HR & Payroll Officer in providing payroll information and reconciling payroll monthly.

Governance and compliance

1. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements (e.g. Companies House, HMRC and the Charity Commission).

2. Attend Trustee Board meetings to report on financial matters, including the identification and management of financial risk, and provide any relevant reports.

3. To support the Trustees, SLT and line managers in managing our finances carefully and within our financial means, through provision of advice, guidance, support and training.

4. To be the main point of contact with external auditors.

5. To ensure that robust financial controls are in place, underpinned by appropriate financial policies and procedures and to ensure that they are adhered to and that the organisation is protected from fraud and error.

Our Vulnerable Adult Lead Worker service provides targeted housing, health, wellbeing and social support to vulnerable citizens over the age of 25 in the city. The service works alongside other housing, health and social support service providers within Birmingham City Council’s Vulnerable Adult Housing Pathway; the Pathway is designed to help vulnerable citizens avoid homelessness, reduce harm, live healthier and more independent lives, and integrate into their local communities.

Our Vulnerable Adult Lead Worker service provides interventions to help citizens to sustain their current accommodation if it is at risk and/or source alternative accommodation if they are unsuitably housed.  We also provide support and work alongside key partners to help citizens address other social related issues, such as benefit/welfare reform processes, helping to maximise people’s incomes, signposting to relevant primary and secondary health care services and more.

The citizens we support will be experiencing several current and/or historic health and social complexities, including substance use, poor mental health, a history of homelessness, an offending history, and may have been excluded from other services, or risk being excluded from services. Our Vulnerable Adult Lead Worker service provides flexible, personalised, community-based support and interventions to citizens for up to two years.

Citizens will be offered face to face and virtual interventions based on risk, need and citizen preference. Lead Workers can expect to deliver their interventions from citizen’s homes, community venues, our office base and from home, utilising our hybrid-working service design.
