This role is an opportunity to be a key player in driving transformational change, working hand in hand with our Pro-Vice Chancellor for the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences and as part of a dynamic fundraising team to uncover and engage high quality prospects. Your insight will help build a strong pipeline of potential major donors, supporting strategic health related fundraising that advances the University’s most ambitious priorities.

​The successful candidate will apply advanced prospect research methodologies and relevant technologies to identify high net worth individuals with both the capacity and the motivation to donate, helping us drive forward our ambitious health priorities whilst upholding the highest ethical standards.

● Lead the development and delivery of Respected’s strategic and operational plans

The Role

The Global Financial Controller is responsible for leading Lumos’ financial control, reporting and compliance framework across the organisation, ensuring strong stewardship, financial integrity and transparency across all entities and jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Strategic Finance, Executive Leadership Team, Board of Directors and external auditors, while leading and developing a high-performing global finance team. The role will also deputise for the Director of Strategic Finance where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of annual statutory accounts and consolidated group financial statements in accordance with Charity SORP and relevant accounting standards.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
• Manage the annual external audit process and resolve technical accounting matters.
• Staff management of a team of 3 accountants
• Maintain a strong internal control environment across the organisation.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure financial integrity across all reporting.
• Develop and enhance finance policies, procedures and governance frameworks.
• Support risk management and organisational accountability. .
• Provide analysis and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with donor and funder requirements.

Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Significant experience leading financial control and reporting within a complex or multi-entity organisation.
• Strong technical accounting expertise, including statutory reporting and audit management.
• Experience implementing and maintaining robust financial controls and governance frameworks.
• Experience within the charity, NGO or international development sector.

Desirable Experience

• Experience with finance transformation, ERP implementation or process improvement projects.

The role

As a Senior Coach you will be working on the frontline delivering high quality one-to-one support to a caseload of young people across London. You will support young people to recognise and capitalise on their strengths by taking a coaching approach. We are looking for a driven, experienced individual, with the relevant skills to provide high quality support to a caseload of young people and ensure we give the very best we can. You will have experience in managing safeguarding concerns well and thrive in the ups and downs of support-based work.

Overall, we are looking for a compassionate frontline worker, with an understanding of the value in coaching, and who has a level head at times of crisis. Reporting into the Challenge Events Manager, you’ll boost our ability to grow our portfolio of events and connect personally with the incredible people who support CALM on a day to day basis. 

The reasons people fundraise for CALM can be deeply personal. They might have lost someone to suicide, used our helpline for themselves or someone they know, or they might want to support a lifesaving service. By understanding what drives them, you’ll shape and deliver event experiences that feel meaningful and memorable, strengthen their connection to CALM, and inspire them to keep coming back for more. 

Responsibilities

• Support on delivery of the Challenge Events portfolio, ensuring Challenge Event Fundraisers are staying on track - such as completing registration forms on time, and setting up fundraising pages

• Provide end-to-end operational support for fundraising events, including liaising with venues, partners and suppliers, obtaining quotes, coordinating travel and logistics, working with production teams, preparing materials, producing risk assessments, and creation of event documentation such as briefs, schedules and post-event evaluations

• Represent CALM at Events, including acting as an Event Day Lead, and attending wider CALM events

• Work with the Challenge Events Manager and Event Fundraising Lead to develop our portfolio of events, contributing ideas, analysing performance, identifying opportunities and putting ideas into action

• Steward CALM’s Challenge Event Fundraisers effectively throughout their journey when supporting CALM, to ensure they feel appreciated and inspired to fundraise for us

• Be the friendly voice of CALM, responding to enquiries through the website or phone in a timely manner

• Proactively craft and send personalised emails to fundraisers to drive retention and satisfaction

• Help with the management and optimisation of Event email automated journeys used to steward participants in the lead up to and after their event

• Help to devise and manage our event marketing strategy 

• Deliver stewardship calls to Event Fundraisers - welcoming them to the team after sign up, wishing them good luck before their event, or offering them fundraising guidance and support 

• Work confidently across key income platforms to ensure accurate setup, coding and reporting of fundraising pages, campaigns and donations, including JustGiving and Enthuse.

• Support on the maintenance of relevant pages on the CALM website

• Analyse feedback from fundraisers via our post event surveys and identify areas for improvement

• Engage with Fundraisers on our CALM Facebook groups - sparking conversation and fostering a supportive community atmosphere

• Recruit and manage volunteers to support at events

About the role
We are recruiting for a Participant Experience Officer to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a fixed-term contract for 12 months. This is a home-based role, with occasional travel required for in-person team meetings and events.

As Participant Experience Officer you will work across the Events team, supporting the strategic planning, development and implementation of our Event participants’ supporter journeys. This includes working on a wide range of activities such as Memory Walk, Trek26 and third party runs and challenges.

In this role you will both advise on and directly implement multi-channel communications journeys, from the point of registration through to event day and beyond. This will include working with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate owned and paid stewardship channels, such as email, mail, social media, SMS and phone.

You will also support the testing and evaluation of stewardship across Events, ensuring continual development of our participant experience and that we are delivering the best possible experience for our participants, leading to continued engagement and lifetime value.

Interviews for this role have been provisionally scheduled to take place via MS Teams on Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th July.

About you
Joining us, you’ll have experience of supporter experience within the not-for-profit sector, and a good understanding of the role of stewardship, with experience of developing and delivering multi-channel supporter journeys. You’ll be a good communicator with the ability to work collaboratively, influence and inform others.

Crucially, you’ll be able to manage a range of complex projects, meet deadlines and use problem-solving to implement solutions. You’ll also be able to interpret complex data and make recommendations based on analysis.

What you’ll focus on:

- Working with the Senior Participant Experience Manager, Participant Experience Manager and other Participant Experience Officers to oversee the supporter experience of all event participants.
- Working collaboratively with other teams, including Event Leads, Omnichannel, Data Analysis, Digital Engagement, Supporter Care and Regional Engagement to develop and maintain the best supporter experience.
- Contributing to the planning and development of event participant and volunteer stewardship journeys and deliver areas of responsibility.
- Leading and advising on the implementation of stewardship communications across a range of channels, including mail, email, SMS, social media and phone.
- Managing relationships with external agencies (including fulfilment houses) to ensure best value and optimum levels of service at all times.
- Developing robust data analysis and testing processes across events stewardship campaigns.
- Analysing the progress and impact of our supporter experiences, providing support to live campaigns and feeding into event evaluations with recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead financial support for major capital programmes, providing robust modelling and scenario analysis

Budgeting & Forecasting

• Own the development and management of programme budgets and forecasts

About You
We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong business partnering experience and a track record of supporting complex programmes or projects.

• Strong financial modelling, analysis and advanced Excel skills
• Experience of working with senior stakeholders and influencing decision-making
• Proven ability to present complex financial information clearly to non-finance audiences

FORCE Cancer Charity is seeking an experienced Events Fundraiser (fixed term for 12 months) to join our friendly and dedicated Income Generation team. This role is central to delivering and growing our events programme, generating vital income to support people affected by cancer across Exeter and the wider Devon community.

You will take the lead on planning, managing and delivering our existing in‑house events, including our flagship Nello Cycle Ride, while also developing new fundraising opportunities through events, campaigns and supporter‑led activities. With our 40th anniversary in 2027, you will play a key role in shaping an ambitious and engaging programme of events that celebrates FORCE’s impact and inspires even more people to get involved.

A vital part of the role will involve building strong relationships with supporters, volunteers, suppliers and local businesses. You will provide exceptional stewardship, ensuring everyone involved feels supported, appreciated and motivated to continue their fundraising journey with FORCE.

Working closely with the wider Income Generation team, you will contribute to marketing activity, volunteer engagement, supporter communications and the development of new fundraising initiatives. You will also maintain accurate event and participant records, respond to enquiries with warmth and professionalism, and ensure all events are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

We are seeking someone with relevant experience in events or project management - ideally gained in a charity, events or customer‑facing environment - who can confidently build relationships and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
