Join our Research & Outcomes team at the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and help shape the future of speech and language therapy. You’ll plan, deliver and evaluate projects that strengthen research capacity, capability and culture across the profession, champion evidence-based practice, and support members in making the most of outcomes, health informatics and data.

The RCSLT is the professional body for speech and language therapists across the UK. The RCSLT has over 24,000 members and employs around 65 staff predominately based in a London office. The RCSLT also has offices in Belfast, Edinburgh, and Cardiff.
Our mission is to improve the lives of people with communication and swallowing needs by facilitating and promoting research, producing guidance, holding events, and influencing government. We aim to promote better education and training for speech and language therapists and provide information to our members and the public about speech and language therapy.
The role
As a Research & Outcomes Officer, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering the RCSLT’s research and outcomes work, helping to strengthen research culture, champion evidence-based practice and support the profession to make better use of evidence and data.
You’ll take operational responsibility for a varied portfolio of projects and initiatives, from research priority setting and engagement, to collecting and analysing data, supporting evidence synthesis and monitoring impact. You’ll also help bring this work to life through engaging communications across RCSLT research channels, as well as presentations, webinars, conferences and events.
Working closely with RCSLT members, colleagues and external stakeholders, you’ll provide expert, evidence-based advice on research, outcomes, clinical and professional issues, while responding to enquiries and supporting teams across the organisation to identify, understand and apply research evidence.

You’ll be confident turning complex evidence and data into clear, accessible insights and communicating these effectively to a range of audiences.
You’ll be highly organised, analytical and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. A collaborative approach is essential, as you’ll work with members, colleagues and external stakeholders to provide expert guidance and support. The Database and Research Lead will play a key role in the overall success of the Development Office and the new campaign. The Youth Adventure Trust is a youth development charity working with vulnerable young people aged 11 to 16 years old from Somerset, Wiltshire and Swindon. Our outdoor activity based YAT Adventure Programme enables young people to challenge themselves, experience success, learn to go beyond their own expectations and grow in confidence. Through a series of residential camps and day activities they are able to build resilience, self esteem and develop social and life skills. The YAT Resilience Programme works to the same outcomes through a year long programme of monthly activities, home-based challenges and reflective practice. Our Mentoring Programme works with those young people in need of some additional individualised support at the end of our other programmes. The Trust’s Bursary Programme is open to all those young people who have completed an initial programme, in order to assist their next steps into further activities. The Role
We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and motivated Programme Manager to support, deliver and manage our outdoor based development programmes.
Responsibilities will include:
Acting as the key point of contact to organise, deliver and oversee the programme to a group of young people, including managing and supporting activity days and residential adventures throughout the year.

The Opportunity
We are supporting an established UK animal welfare charity with the appointment of a Database & Fundraising Manager on an initial 7-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for the position to become permanent. Ideally able to travel to the Kent office Wednesday's but not essential.
This is a hands-on fundraising operations role with responsibility for the charity's CRM, supporter data, income processing, reconciliations, direct debits, lottery administration and fundraising campaign data.
You will work closely with the fundraising team, senior leadership and external accountants and suppliers, taking ownership of accurate data and efficient processes during a period of transition.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the charity's Raiser’s Edge CRM, including data entry, cleansing, imports, exports and supporter records.
Produce data selections, segmentation, reports and analysis for fundraising and communications.
Manage direct debit and standing order administration, including uploads, cancellations, unpaid payments and reconciliations.
Reconcile fundraising income against bank and accounting records and investigate discrepancies.
Oversee lottery administration, including membership records, monthly draws and winner communications.
Support fundraising appeals through data selections, exports and coordination with external mailing suppliers.
Monitor fundraising income and produce accurate reports.
Maintain database processes, documentation and data quality.
Provide general fundraising and supporter administration as required.
About You
We're looking for an experienced fundraising database, CRM, data or income-processing professional with:
Proven experience using Raiser’s Edge or a comparable fundraising CRM.
Advanced Excel and strong data-management skills.
Experience working with large datasets, imports/exports, segmentation and reporting.
Experience with direct debits, standing orders, income processing or financial reconciliation.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
A good understanding of CRM data quality and best practice.
Charity or fundraising experience is desirable but not essential.
