The Work Rights Centre is looking for a motivated employment law expert to lead our growing training programme, and support the wider development of the charity.
Over the last few years our legal teams have delivered a number of successful training and capacity building programmes to other advice charities and local authorities - from short teaser sessions, to in-depth programmes that walked attendees through the core pillars of employment law over the course of several weeks.
We are now looking for an experienced trainer to join the charity, drive the development and delivery of our new exciting training programme, and support the ongoing growth of the charity.

The Role – What you’ll be doing
As our Product Assistant (Mass Participation events), you’ll help deliver an exceptional supporter experience across our Charity owned mass participation events —playing a hands-on role in supporter care as well as supporting with logistics and day-to-day tasks required for event delivery.

Legacies form a key source of income for the British Heart Foundation (BHF), raising approximately £100m a year for our life‑saving research.
As a Legacy Manager, you will manage, protect, and optimise this income. You'll work alongside three other Legacy Managers, supporting the Head of Legacy Management to build on the team’s successes and to optimise the BHF’s income from gifts in Wills.
Joining a thriving team, you’ll undertake a variety of work, including managing casework in accordance with the law, best practice, and BHF’s processes and procedures, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, providing technical guidance to colleagues and potential legacy givers, and line managing two Assistant Legacy Officers and our Legacy Administrator.
This role may also require deputising for the Head of Legacy Management.
About you
You'll either have extensive experience in legacy management within the charities legacy sector; or be a Qualified Private Client Solicitor; or be a Qualified member of the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners; or be a Qualified Chartered Legal Executive with experience of Wills and Probate.
With high levels of empathy and belief in the BHF’s work, you'll be able to develop strong relationships with colleagues and contacts. With previous line management experience, you'll demonstrate first‑class leadership skills, supported by a compelling vision and the ability to inspire others, motivate, and develop a team of staff.
A self‑starter with excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills, you'll bring proven experience of working within private client / legacy management.

Working arrangements

Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage strategic partnerships at a local and national level.
· Provide leadership and drive innovation across BBBC.
· Operational line management of the Heads of Delivery and Impact ensuring the successful integration of BBBC into Family Action.
· Oversee budgets, manage financial risks, generate income, and contribute to sustainable service development.
· Represent BBBC and Family Action externally and build strong partnerships to support integrated service delivery.
· Ensure high-quality, safe, and compliant services through overseeing effective monitoring, auditing, and continuous improvement in line with Family Action’s polices and frameworks.
· Be a key member of Family Action’s London team and the wider Senior Leadership Group.

The post-holder collaborates with individuals to develop person-centred recovery plans focused on social goals and community integration, building therapeutic relationships through trauma-informed, strength-based approaches. They support access to local resources, appointments, wellbeing activities, and peer or psychoeducational groups, while promoting recovery-focused, jargon-free communication and advocating for co-production and integrated care. Liaising with statutory and voluntary organisations ensures smooth service navigation and warm handovers, while active participation in clinical meetings and community events helps represent both Hestia and the Community Mental Health Team. The role also requires accurate documentation of all support activity, adherence to safeguarding and health and safety procedures, and engagement in supervision, training, and continuous professional development.
