Main purpose of the role

The Community Leader is responsible for ensuring that the Community is living the mission of L’Arche, by providing excellent and sustainable care and support services, support for spirituality, and engaging with our neighbours and the wider community around us.

• Lead the Community by responding to the needs, choices and context of our members while being faithful to the L'Arche UK Vision and Values, the L'Arche International Identity and Mission Statement, and to a co-created Community Mandate and plan;

Black Thrive Global evolved from the work of the Black Thrive Lambeth Partnership, which was established in 2016 to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black people. The Communities Workstream sits at the heart of Black Thrive Lambeth’s model and is the primary mechanism through which the organisation remains deeply connected to Black residents across the borough. To support the Black Thrive Lambeth Communities workstream in engaging with Black community members in the boroughs of Black Thrive Lambeth.

The long-term ambition of the Communities workstream is to liaise with Black communities and other stakeholders involved in the delivery of Black Thrive’s Thriving Futures – Scaling Systems Change programme. 

The immediate priority for the role is to identify the people and resources that can support the development of the Communities workstream in Lambeth. This role will work closely with those involved in the Black Thrive Thriving Futures programme and will have a wide range of responsibilities from communications activities, event management to research and administration.

1. Support the Black Thrive LambethLocality Lead in delivering the outputs of Black Thrive’s Thriving Futures – Scaling Systems Change programme and other related activities to achieve programme objectives and milestones.

2. Engage and collaborate with Thriving Futures Collective partners across Haringey, Birmingham, Wales, and Scotland, sharing learning and best practices from community project delivery in Lambeth.

3. Build and maintain strong relationships with Black Thrive Lambeth Black communities by designing, managing, and updating databases to support engagement with community members, partners, contractors, and stakeholders.

4. Maintain Black Thrive’s internal systems to ensure the efficient delivery of the Thriving Futures workstream.

5. Work with the Locality Lead to strengthen engagement with the local community and Black-led voluntary sector in Lambeth.

6. Contribute to research and learning by collaborating with the Black Thrive Global Research Institute to aid in collecting and reporting quantitative and qualitative data that informs programme delivery and impact.

Essential

· Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a community-based role and/or setting.

We are looking for a Data Scientist/Analyst to help us make this change. You will be based in the LFF Research Team, reporting to our Director of Research and Impact.

This role will facilitate better use, processing and management of data across the organisation. It will focus on four areas:

• Data systems and structures
• Data analysis
• Data visualisation
• Data security and compliance

The postholder will work alongside experienced researchers to develop a new portfolio of priority projects to enhance our work. With no fixed task list or assigned service, this role offers the freedom to explore and innovate, identifying where data, data science, and data systems can drive real change.

This role will be remote or hybrid - we have offices in Bromsgrove, Epsom and Edinburgh.

Rethink have an exciting opportunity to work for us delivering the new Connect to Work Individual Placement and Support (IPS) programme within County Durham. We are looking for an Employment Specialist to support individuals with health conditions, mental health difficulties, a disability or complex barriers to employment to gain, retain, or return to employment, following the IPS principles. You will also engage with and support local employers to enable work to be sustainable for individuals and by bridging workforce needs with local people. The roles will involve travelling around your allocated area to meet individuals in need of support offering a person centred approach and engaging with local employers who have workforce vacancies. You will work closely with and within healthcare settings and as part of a wider partnership of organisations to deliver the programme across the region.

Connect to Work is part of the National Get Britain Working strategy which is a new government funded programme. Within County Durham the initial programme is based upon the IPS model which looks to support people who would like to gain employment by delivering tailored support to move into the right job quickly and support to maintain employment.

The available role is a part time post (0.5 FTE – 17.5 hours per week) with days and times to be worked open to discussion and agreement with the successful candidate. This post is for a fixed term until 31st March 2028, with the possibility of an additional 2 year extension once funding is confirmed. There may also be the option to increase working hours as the programme progresses and referrals increase. A Driving licence and car are essential to carry out this role.
