The London Irish Centre is seeking an experienced, compassionate and knowledgeable Advice Worker to join our committed team. The successful candidate will bring expertise in welfare rights and housing, and a strong commitment to supporting those facing financial hardship or insecure living conditions. In this role, you will work directly with clients to deliver accredited advice and practical guidance, helping them navigate complex systems and secure the support they need. You will also collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to ensure a holistic and integrated service that puts community needs first.

The Advice Service is dedicated to enhancing income, alleviating poverty, and ensuring secure housing for community members throughout London. Our goal is to empower individuals by facilitating access to appropriate support through a strength-based and person-centered approach. We offer accredited information and advice on welfare benefits and housing, as well as assistance in obtaining grants.

As an integral part of the London Irish Centre's Community services, the Advice Service collaborates with our Support Service, Citizenship and Identity, Health Navigation, Community Programmes (responsible for events and activities), and our specialized Survivor Integrated Service. Together, we strive to deliver community-led and best-practice support.

 About You

Key areas of responsibility

This role is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by ensuring carers have access to the support, knowledge and community they need to thrive. As the Carers Programme Lead, you will mobilise, coordinate and facilitate a programme that combines structured learning, peer support and reflective spaces, helping carers feel better equipped, more connected and less alone. This will include developing and refining a structured learning programme and continuously building on carers’ feedback.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading and facilitating a weekly programme for unpaid carers, combining a structured six-week course with ongoing peer support and reflection sessions.
• Creating welcoming, supportive spaces where carers can share experiences, build resilience and prioritise their own wellbeing.
• Developing practical workshops, resources and learning opportunities that help carers navigate the challenges of caring.
• Building relationships with Community Mental Health Teams, carers organisations and community partners to support referrals and engagement.
• Managing programme administration, monitoring and reporting, while supervising sessional staff with lived experience.
• Promoting the programme through outreach, partnership working and community engagement activities.

Purpose of Job

Re-Instate is looking for an experienced Early Intervention Employment Service Manager to lead our employment support service for people experiencing mental health difficulties. You will manage a team, oversee a caseload, develop employer partnerships and support people to secure and retain paid or voluntary employment.

Re-Instate’s Early Intervention Employment Service supports local people struggling with their mental health at the earliest possible stage through a range of employment related services. In addition, we are looking to deliver a range of training workshops to support clients of the service and local organisations.

The post holder will:

• Be responsible for managing, monitoring, delivering and evaluating employment activities to ensure that contract outcome targets are met.
• Support the implementation of organisational initiatives of Re-Instate.
• Take an active role in the delivery, management, monitoring and evaluation of any initiatives developed as part of the Early Intervention Service.
• Support clients to retain paid and voluntary work through employer engagement.
• Provide information to assist in strategic decision making.
• Represent Re-Instate within the London borough of Bexley.
• Work with the Training and Outreach Co-ordinator to promote the Early Intervention Service.

The post-holder will need project development experience and a working, knowledge of models of supported employment. They will be an effective networker, able to develop and sustain partnerships with a range of stakeholders.

 Key Activities:

• Promote and deliver the vision for the Early Intervention Service that supports sustainable recovery for people experiencing mental ill health, including job retention, job searching, preparation for work and signposting.
• Lead, supervise and support the Early Intervention team through regular supervision, appraisals and performance reviews.
• Manage a caseload of clients, supporting people experiencing mental ill health to meet their work goals.
• Manage workshops, as well as individual and group sessions, to support clients in their job search. Provide expert guidance on crafting compelling CVs, completing job applications, mastering interview strategies, and enhancing overall job-seeking effectiveness.
• Generate and establish new bespoke sector specific or employer specific pathways.
• Maintain and develop excellent communication with all key contacts including colleagues, commissioners and partner providers of specialist and non-specialist services, Service User and Carer Groups.
• As part of job retention, consider reasonable adjustments and support services for clients with disabilities or other barriers to employment, ensuring their successful integration into the workplace.
• Monitor and report on the employment status of client to effectively measure the impact of the service.
• Conduct regular performance reviews with the Early Intervention team to adherence of quality standards.
• Conduct supervision, appraisals and monitor individual objectives in line with Re-Instate policy and practice.
• Ensure that all data requirements are met within defined deadlines and work with the CEO to ensure that outcomes are being achieved.
• Ensure all administrative duties associated with the delivery of the specific employment service activity – including computerised systems, record keeping and information governance are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of recovery focused employment models (Case Management).

About the role:

No one should leave hospital with nowhere safe to go.

As Homeless Pathway Coordinator, you’ll be a consistent and trusted presence for patients experiencing homelessness, helping them navigate what can feel like an overwhelming mix of health, housing and support systems. You’ll spend time with patients on wards and in A&E, listening to what matters to them, understanding the barriers they face and making sure their voice remains at the heart of every decision.

Day to day, you’ll manage a caseload, complete assessments, develop clear discharge and support plans and make referrals to housing, healthcare, social care, mental health and substance use services. You’ll follow up actions, keep plans moving and advocate firmly when someone is at risk of being discharged without the right accommodation or support in place.

You’ll work closely with the Homeless Pathway Lead, hospital teams, Newham Council and SHP’s wider Health Team, bringing professionals together and helping everyone stay focused on the person behind the case. You’ll also build links with community services, identify gaps in existing pathways and share learning that helps the hospital respond more effectively to people experiencing homelessness.

This is a role where strong relationships can change the course of someone’s recovery. You’ll join an experienced and supportive team, with opportunities to deepen your knowledge of inclusion health, homelessness and psychologically informed practice through training, reflective practice and shared learning.

About you:

• You have experience supporting people experiencing homelessness, multiple disadvantage or significant barriers to accessing services.
• You know how to build trust with people who may feel let down by services, keeping their voice and choices at the centre of your work.
• You can manage a caseload, assess what support is needed and turn complex situations into clear, practical next steps.

Stroke Support Worker

We are looking for an empathetic, adaptable individual, experienced in person centred support to work with stroke survivors and their loved ones on the stroke ward in Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

Position: 000029 Stroke Support Worker

Location: Homebased, Doncaster, South Yorkshire. However, travel will be required twice weekly to Doncaster Royal Infirmary as part of this role (and occasional wider travel may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: 21 - 28 hours per week with a minimum of 21 hours. The exact weekly hours (up to 28) will be agreed with the successful candidate

Salary: £17,000 – £22,600 per annum depending on hours (FTE circa £28,340.58)

Contract: 12 month fixed term contract

The Role

This work is part of a project (the Integrated Offer), exploring the needs and ongoing connection for people affected by stroke in hospital and beyond.

The role will involve delivering person-centred stroke support in the hospital setting, while working with the Integrated Offer team to test and implement new approaches. The areas we aim to deliver and test are:

· Deliver person centred conversations with people affected by stroke on the acute ward.

· Following an initial conversation, test how people affected by stroke connect with the Stroke Association next, and what they connect to.

· Explore how to increase connection with those who are not present on the ward at the same time as us.

(note- we may test some or all the above)

To support flexible delivery and testing, you'll also develop your skills by providing phone support to people affected by stroke.

The role includes working in Doncaster Royal Infirmary starting with twice weekly visits, for 3 hours per session. These sessions can be any time after 11am.  The length, timing and cadence of the sessions may need to adjust as this is a test and we will be led by what works for the hospital and people affected by stroke.

Occasional overnight stays may be required. 

About You

Key skills/experience: 

· Experience of communicating directly with people affected by stroke, either on the phone or face to face. 

· Experienced in person centred support Emotional intelligence and good judgement skills

· Effective listening skills with the ability to communicate clearly at a time where emotions may be heightened.

· High levels of emotional resilience to handle complex situations whilst working in a hospital environment.

· Ability to embrace the principles of coaching and reflective practice to drive continuous improvement.

What you'll do:
* Supporting the customer to undertake a full timetable of preferred activities including sport and leisure activities, attending community groups, visiting local amenities, and introducing them to new activities to expand their horizons and networks;
* Developing the customer's independent living skills and involving them in all aspects of maintaining and developing their home, including cooking, shopping, cleaning and decorating;
* Enabling the customer to keep up with the important people in their life and to meet new people with shared interests;
* Supporting the customer to communicate their wants and needs, and communicating with them in a person-centred way;
* Supporting the customer to manage their anxieties and frustrations, using Positive Behaviour Support and Autism-specific approaches;

The Communications Manager provides operational leadership for CLAPA's communications delivery, ensuring communications and marketing activity is effectively planned, prioritised and delivered in support of the charity's strategic objectives. 

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing, the postholder is responsible for translating the communications strategy into coordinated day-to-day delivery. They will oversee the planning, scheduling and operational management of communications activity across the organisation, ensuring work is appropriately prioritised, resources are allocated effectively and projects are delivered to a consistently high standard. 

The role directly manages CLAPA's Communications Officers, embedding effective planning, briefing and workflow processes that enable the team to deliver proactive, creative and high-quality communications.

The Role

Child Bereavement UK is a digital first organisation leading the way in Digital Transformation across the Bereavement sector. This role will play a vital part in helping Child Bereavement UK turn up the dial across our Regional Fundraising team.

The Head of Regional Fundraising is responsible for overseeing our team of Regional Fundraising Managers and Challenge Events team to maximise income from community groups and associations, businesses and individuals as well as leading the growth and diversity of the challenge events portfolio.

Main Responsibilities

Leadership

Regional Fundraising

· Maintain up-to-date knowledge on sector and market trends, the legal environment impacting on public fundraising and ensure compliance with standards determined by Fundraising Regulator 

Strategy, Planning and reporting  

· Develop and execute bold strategies to grow the charity’s Regional Fundraising portfolio, optimising supporter journey and maximising income generation 

· Develop case for support information and tools for effective ways of working, including approval processes

· Work with the Director of Income Generation to develop the annual budget, including leading on monthly performance reports and contributing to quarterly reforecasts and reporting against KPI’s and milestones 

· Oversee the development of supporter journeys and stewardship of all Regional audiences and key community relationships to maximise retention and ensure long-term income growth

· Identify and develop new income generating opportunities across Regional Fundraising 

· Ensure that we provide an excellent supporter experience to all our supporters, regardless of value 

· Proactively manage all aspects of Regional Fundraising to increase our supporter base and maximise income

Essential

· A proven track record in Regional or Community fundraising roles leading on the development of new, successful programmes

· Demonstratable strong strategic planning skills and the ability to develop and implement long-term strategies to achieve fundraising targets and enhance the charity's mission

· Proven leadership and people management skills, with experience in overseeing multi-disciplinary teams. Essential experience includes team leadership, staff motivation, setting clear objectives, and fostering a collaborative work environment

· Experience in effectively developing, managing and reporting complex income and expenditure budgets

· Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels and excellent written skills

· Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering our portfolio of mass participation and challenge events, ensuring excellent supporter experiences and sustainable income growth.

The role will lead on recruiting and supporting event participants across a mixed portfolio (including guaranteed places, third-party event and challenge providers, international challenge events and CCLG-owned events such as our Big Hike. You’ll also take a pro-active role in growing CCLG’s own events programme, identifying, testing and helping to scale new opportunities, while maintaining strong reporting, compliance and supporter care.

Events fundraising is a key area of growth for CCLG, and we’re looking for a passionate, focused and driven individual to support the team to make our ambitious growth plans a reality.

We’re looking for a confident communicator, with strong organisation skills, who’ll use their own initiative and ability to manage a varied workload. You’ll be self-driven, motivated by achieving targets and delivering the best possible supporter experience. The role involves project management and innovation, and you’ll be responsible for confidently driving projects forward, whilst confidently managing a range of internal and external stakeholders.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with an expectation of two days per week in our Leicester office.
