The Diocese of Rochester is seeking a Data Insights & Evaluation Adviser to lead the development of a coherent, organisation-wide approach to data, evaluation, and learning across the Called Together programme. This role goes beyond routine data collection or dashboard creation – it’s about sense-making, judgement, and enabling learning to support parishes, deaneries, and diocesan teams in achieving sustainable impact.
This is an exciting role for someone with analytical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work relationally across a wide range of stakeholders.
About the Role
· You will provide leadership in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL), ensuring data and evidence are used effectively to inform decisions and enhance mission. Your key responsibilities will include:
· Leading on data, insights, and evaluation across the Diocese to inform strategy and action
· Integrating quantitative and qualitative evidence from parishes, programmes, and external sources
· Translating complex data into clear, accessible insights and narratives
· Designing and embedding a comprehensive MEL framework with appropriate indicators and learning loops
· Designing, building, and maintaining dashboards and visual tools (e.g. Power BI)
· Producing reports for governance, leadership, and project teams
· Providing analytical support to enable data-driven decision-making and project delivery
· Ensuring data integrity, quality, security, and GDPR compliance
· Collaborating with national Church teams and external partners to align evaluation with wider priorities
About You
· A minimum of five years’ relevant professional experience in data, insights, evaluation, research, MEL, or learning-focused roles, with evidence of senior responsibility, autonomy, sound judgement, and practical organisational application.
· Aligned with the mission and ethos of the Christian Church and the Diocese of Rochester
· Educated to degree level in a relevant field, or with equivalent professional experience
· Experienced in data, insights, or evaluation activity in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
· Skilled in working with both quantitative and qualitative data to generate actionable insights
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modelling) and Power BI (DAX / M code)
· An excellent communicator, able to present findings to senior leaders while working constructively with colleagues unfamiliar with data
· Organised, flexible, and able to travel across the Diocese, including occasional evenings or weekends
It would be advantageous if you also:
· Have experience in charity, voluntary, public, or faith-based sectors where impact is complex
· Understand the structure and culture of the Church of England, dioceses, and parish life

The Candidate:
• This is a key role in our Wales team and for candidates to stand out, we are looking for experience of working within a policy & advocacy or political context.
• Experience in shaping and implementing policy and advocacy or political strategies preferably in the environmental/voluntary sector, providing technical policy input and advice.

The Role:
Our client is looking to appoint a Regular Giving and Legacy Giving Manager to oversee a sector-leading, multi-channel appeal programme to increase numbers of gifts and donors to the University. Following the launch of this leading universities bold and ambitious strategy they are preparing to launch a comprehensive fundraising campaign. The Regular Giving and Legacy Giving team will play a pivotal role in bringing about a step-change in regular, mid-value and legacy donations to the University.
You will oversee and implement the overall strategy and supporter journey for alumni and donors primarily through direct mail, telephone, email and social media.
After an internal promotion, an exciting role has arisen with opportunities for the postholder to oversee an award-winning acquisition campaign, a brand-new mid-value programme and a successful legacy marketing programme. You will be instrumental in building collaboration with the Alumni Engagement team to promote philanthropy and take alumni on a journey to their first gift.
This position is based in West London (Central Line) offering a hybrid working pattern of mostly 2 days a week which are Tuesdays and Thursdays, with some requirements to come in 3 days per week when needed.
What you would be doing:
Working across the Regular Giving & Legacy Giving team, you will oversee supporter journeys for donors, working on cases for support, appeal development and data segmentation. You will have the opportunity to pilot new ideas as well as delivering a mature and sector-leading programme.
Working across Advancement, you will build relationships with key internal stakeholders especially the Alumni Engagement team, Major Gift, and Event teams to capitalise on opportunities to embed regular giving and legacy messaging in all University activities.
What we are looking for:
- Successful track record, in direct-marketing fundraising in Higher Education or the charity sector
- Proven track record of line management and professionally developing members of staff
- Ability to build strong relationships and collaboration among key stakeholders and teams
- Significant and demonstrable experience of managing and organising projects to agreed budgets, targets and timescales
- Significant and demonstrable experience of developing and evaluating compelling and response driven copy and creative
- Significant and demonstrable experience of interrogating, analysing, manipulating and interpreting large, complex data sets for targeting and segmentation purposes

About Chapter One
Chapter One is a small but growing charity, working to ensure that every child has 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.
Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports about 3,500 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old (KS1) readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 180 local and national businesses. The volunteer task is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.
We have set ourselves ambitious targets and want to support 3,900 children by 2026/27, so this role, with responsibility for building new corporate partnerships, will be crucial to ensuring that we have sufficient volunteers to achieve this target. 2026 has been designated by the Government as the National Year of Reading, so we have a great opportunity to capitalise on this and secure business commitment for our work!

About the role
Chapter One is seeking a proactive, energetic and enthusiastic Business Development Officer to be an integral part of a team which aims to both maximise corporate income and take Chapter One into new regions across the UK.
Reporting to our Business Development Manager (BDM), but also working closely with our Corporate Partnerships Team, you’ll help them to deliver our annual volunteer targets. This will involve prospect research and engagement, presentations, networking, pipeline management and lead conversion.

Corporate Partner Recruitment

Account Management

Lead the account management of a portfolio of corporate partners (approx. 10–15), delivering against retention, growth, and income targets through regular reviews and proactive relationship building.

Plan and deliver partnership meetings, volunteer recruitment sessions, and tailored communications aligned to each partner’s CSR strategy and Chapter One’s mission.

Collaborate with the Corporate Partnerships Team and internal teams to produce high-quality reports, pitches, onboarding experiences, and promotional materials for partners and volunteers.

Ensure accurate partner administration, including CRM record-keeping (Salesforce), invoicing coordination, and general account management processes.

What we are looking for:
Job Title: Major Gifts and Partnerships Lead
We’re looking for a confident, experienced fundraiser to lead major-gift fundraising — securing transformational gifts from high-net-worth individuals while building wealth-adviser relationships that generate referral leads. You’ll own the full pipeline: prospecting, cultivation, making direct asks, closing and stewardship.
The ideal candidate will be excited to cultivate networks of wealth managers, private-client teams and other advisers to HNWIs, and to convert adviser introductions into committed support. You’ll also prospect independently for major gifts outside those referral streams.
To succeed you’ll master three distinct fundraising pitches: a business case for advisers; an impact case to persuade donors to support our portfolio charities; and a systems-change case to win backing for GRP’s operating costs (salaries, office costs, etc) to keep the charity running fee-free.
You’ll be comfortable making direct asks for funding, with evidence of having closed high-value gifts or multi-year commitments.
