Movement Support Coordinator

Salary: £48,396-£55,644 pa + benefits (We normally offer a starting salary at the start of the range)

Greenpeace UK is an independent national/regional organisation within the global Greenpeace campaigning network, which acts to change attitudes and behaviour, to protect and conserve the environment and to promote peace. The global network of Greenpeace organisations comprises 26 independent national/regional Greenpeace organisations with presence in over 55 countries across Europe, Africa, the Americas, Asia and the Pacific, as well as a coordinating and supporting organisation, Greenpeace International.

The Movement Support Coordinator at Greenpeace UK plays a key role in strengthening relationships with grassroots movements and community organisations working on climate and social justice issues. Based within the Allyship Team, the post focuses on building collective power by supporting frontline groups, managing community resources, and embedding solidarity practices across the organisation.

A central responsibility is overseeing the Open Workshop Community Space -our hub for movement organising. This includes coordinating bookings, maintaining a welcoming and accessible environment, managing volunteers and freelancers, and expanding the space’s reach through outreach, events, and strategic development. The role also involves fostering strong relationships with grassroots organisers.

The coordinator will help deliver the Movement Support Fund, supporting the fair distribution of micro-grants to grassroots groups, monitoring impact, and assisting with fundraising resources. The ideal candidate will have experience in community organising, volunteer management, event facilitation, and relationship-building with grassroots or marginalised communities, whether through work, volunteer opportunities or activism. Strong communication, project management, and collaboration skills are essential, alongside a commitment to anti-oppression, solidarity, and climate or social justice activism.

 

You will achieve this by:

Managing the Open Workshop Community Space

• Process, organise and respond to requests from grassroots groups looking to book the space. 
• Manage a team of freelancers and volunteers who will oversee groups when they use the space, including recruitment, training, allocating shifts, receiving / giving feedback and processing invoices.
• Support and contribute to the development of a three year strategy to increase the reach and impact of the community space. 
• Promote the Community Space through proactive outreach, continually growing its list of users and ensuring a marketing strategy is in place.
• Bring the diverse groups using the space together through organising events and skillshares that serve the needs of the movement.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with the lead organisers of grassroots groups and other stakeholders. Continually seek to better understand their goals and how the community space can best serve them. 
• Build and maintain relationships with grassroots groups within the UK.
• Maintain the space to a high standard of safety, cleanliness and organisation, including maintaining equipment and managing stock levels, to ensure it is safe, useful and welcoming for groups.
• Maintaining and, where necessary, implement new systems (such as booking systems, signage, briefing documents) to ensure the community runs smoothly and efficiently.
• Enable other Greenpeace offices to replicate this model by creating resources, sharing learning and acting as a spokesperson within the international Greenpeace community.

Supporting the Allyship Lead to manage the Movement Support Fund 

• With the Allyship Lead, set up and implement an equitable and effective method to distribute micro-grants to grassroots groups tackling specific social justice issues. 
• Carry out regular reviews of the programme to assess impact and equity.
• Support the Fundraising Team in the creation of resources for grassroots groups that enable them to apply for external funding opportunities.
• Supporting the allyship work across the organisation as directed by the Allyship Lead
• Collate a list of Community Space users who may be interested in future collaborations with teams or attending events.

Provide Internal communications to Greenpeace UK staff

• Assist the Allyship Lead with regular updates to Greenpeace UK staff in support of intersectional movement building, helping to develop clear and compelling talking points informed by our solidarity work.

FoCUS enables people to have their say and influence the mental health services they receive within Surrey and Northeast Hampshire.

FoCUS was set up by SABP to:

· Place people at the heart of the delivery and design of mental health services

· Measure how well they involve people

This role is intended to facilitate and coordinate involvement in FoCUS by promoting the network and encouraging people who use the Trust’s services and carers to join and participate in user involvement activities, and raise themes heard from member experiences to the Trust for discussion.

Main Responsibilities

Promotion of FoCUS

· Encourage and enable people with experience of mental health services and carers to join FoCUS and to influence SABP’s services.

· Increase awareness of the benefits of user involvement and representation in building people’s confidence, sense of worth and self-esteem and in helping people to achieve greater social inclusion.

· Promote FoCUS to people who use SABP’s services and carers, across Surrey and Northeast Hampshire. Using a variety of communication and engagement methods including attending relevant outreach and community events with an exhibition stand or promotional materials.

· Increase the number of service users and carers joining as FoCUS members.

· Develop and maintain personal contacts within SABP’s services in Surrey and Northeast Hampshire to promote FoCUS to their clients, and encourage key staff to attend Community Group meetings.

· Liaise with other services including Community Mental Health Recovery Services, Integrated Neighbourhood Teams and other public services and voluntary sector providers to promote FoCUS and encourage them to promote FoCUS membership to their clients.

Management of the Network

· Contact new FoCUS members to ensure their support and access needs are met and to encourage them to attend their local Community Group meetings.

· Work with LF Solutions to maintain and manage network enquiries, new members, meeting planning and delivery of the activities of the forum.

· Act as main contact for service users, carers and professionals for the FoCUS network. Manage inbox and all enquiries.

· Chair the meetings of the forum to ensure the smooth running of meetings and enable everyone to contribute in a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

· Encourage members to attend FoCUS meetings and drop in’s to share recent service experiences.

· Produce a quarterly mental health Newsletter to promote outcomes achieved, manage the social media accounts for FoCUS.

Reporting

· Maintain accurate records. Keeping confidential member information up to date, undertaking data cleanses, recording meeting attendance and topics of discussion. Track activity and outcomes data for reporting purposes.

· Provide a quarterly report on activities and membership to SABP.

Development of volunteer FoCUS Representatives

· Encourage FoCUS members to put themselves forward to become a volunteer FoCUS Representative, explaining the nature and commitment of the role.

· Work with FoCUS Representatives on plans for engagement in their Areas and to agree their individual level of involvement in promoting FoCUS. Help them prepare their respective contributions to their Community Group meetings.

· Organise and attend a quarterly meeting of the FoCUS Representatives to prepare contributions to FoCUS Committee meetings, and provide support as required.

· Identify any training needs of FoCUS members and Representatives, to empower them to fulfil their potential and build personal skills and confidence to have their say.

General Duties

· Encourage existing and new FoCUS members to also join Surrey Coalition of Disabled People and the Independent Mental Health Network, offering opportunities for involvement in other issues affecting their lives.

· At all times, to work within Surrey Coalition’s policies. Including equal opportunities and health and safety, safeguarding, confidentiality and data protection.

· To work as a member of the team promoting FoCUS, including FoCUS Representatives and staff of Surrey Coalition and LF Solutions.

· Work flexibly to meet the responsibilities of the role and be responsive to any feedback.

· Carry out any other tasks within the scope of the role, as required by the Chief Executive and Mental Health Lead.

Person specification

It is essential that you have:

· Understanding of the value of user involvement and representation

· Experience of working with groups and/or volunteers in community-based settings

· Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a range of formats and with a variety of audiences

· Personal experience of receiving mental health services or caring for someone who has

· Experience of chairing or facilitating meetings or groups

· Knowledge and/or experience of working with people who have used mental health services and/or carers

· Knowledge and experience of user and carer involvement in Surrey and North East Hampshire

· A good understanding of the Health, Social Care and Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector (VCFS)

· A understanding of GDPR and adult safeguarding principles

· Live within Surrey or North East Hampshire

About the Role

The Operations Coordinator will play a key role across the charity, supporting the smooth running of Learning with Parents’ core functions during a period of growth and enabling the team to effectively deliver our programmes and achieve impact for disadvantaged families. 

In particular, they will assist the Operations team with HR and recruitment processes, providing additional administrative capacity and supporting our finance functions. They will also provide essential administrative support for the Schools team, including supporting with responding parent and teacher queries, maintaining CRM systems and issuing invoices. 

Core areas of responsibility

Financial Systems

• Support with accounting and financial systems, including: monthly reconciliations; paying expenses and invoices; and procurement. 

HR Support

• Support with the recruitment process for staff, interns, work experience and trustees including advertising roles, supporting logistics for interviews, carrying out DBS checks, collecting references and sending unsuccessful applicants feedback.
• Support with HR record keeping, including staff training refreshers, keeping employee details up to date, policy refreshers etc. 
• Support with the onboarding of new staff, including procuring necessary office equipment, setting up new members of staff on platforms and scheduling meetings as necessary.
• Support with the logistics for the annual staff away days and organise termly staff socials. 
• Support the intern and work experience recruitment and support processes.

Programme Support

• Update the schools database and organisations database with the relevant programme information
• Support the Schools Team to deliver timely support for both schools and parents using our programmes through our help desk system, Hubspot 
• Support with the invoicing and contracts for school partners, including supporting the Schools Team with ensuring school invoices are paid
• Provide logistics support with ordering and sending out teddies to schools for Ready teddy
• Support Curriculum team with subtitling videos
• Support Curriculum team with travel logistics from filming 
• Support with any programme admin as directed by the school team.

Administrative Support

• Provide diary management support for the CEO and trustees
• Book travel for staff and external meeting spaces as required.
• Support with trustee meetings and external meetings, including organising travel, booking meeting rooms, organising lunch, minuting meetings.
• Manage all non-school related enquiries coming into the general Learning with Parents inbox and assist with responding to enquiries on HubSpot, as required.
• General administrative support as required.

Office Management

• Ensure office and kitchen resources are replenished as required i.e. printing paper, stationery, tea, coffee. 
• Ensure the office and kitchen are kept clean and tidy. 
• Ensure office equipment and furniture is in good working order and organise repairs and replacements as required.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Philanthropy and Partnerships Coordinator support the development and progression of philanthropy and partnership activity across trusts & foundations, corporate partners, and high‑value philanthropic audiences in the UK. The role is focused on coordination, preparation, prospects research, and pipeline support, enabling effective relationship management and timely progression of opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and support a targeted portfolio of trusts & foundations, corporate, and philanthropic prospects, assisting with qualification, cultivation, and stewardship activity.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join IRMO as our Youth Project Coordinator and lead the Latin American Youth Forum (LAYF) – IRMO’s youth-led group for migrant and refugee young people aged 13–19.

LAYF offers a safe, supportive and trilingual space (Spanish, Portuguese and English) where young people can overcome barriers and begin to find their feet in the UK. Activities are designed to build confidence, support integration and foster leadership. Through the programme, participants can learn English through fun and engaging ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes, take part in weekly educational, arts-based and themed workshops, and receive one-to-one support through a targeted coaching programme focused on education, volunteering and employment.

Young people also have the opportunity to join the LAYF Youth Steering Group, where they can develop leadership skills and inspire other Spanish and Portuguese-speaking young people, while exploring London and beyond through cultural trips and residentials.

As Youth Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for registering and onboarding new participants, designing and delivering a creative weekly programme of LAYF Space Workshops, and offering one-to-one mentoring to help young people access opportunities and build confidence. You’ll work closely with IRMO’s ESOL and Advice and Advocacy teams to ensure a joined-up and holistic approach.

Partnership working is central to the LAYF ethos, and the Youth Project Coordinator will collaborate closely with BYB partners to co-create activities, share skills and strengthen impact.

This role combines direct participant support, employability delivery, employer engagement working with the Salford Area Manager. You will work across our Eccles and Little Hulton sites, helping create meaningful opportunities that enable participants’ progression.

Rape Crisis England & Wales (RCEW) is the national campaigns and membership body for a network of independent, community-based Rape Crisis Centres working to end child sexual abuse, rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment and all other forms of sexual violence.

The 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line is a national service led by Rape Crisis England & Wales and funded by the Ministry of Justice.

We are looking for a thoughtful and committed *professional who can combine strong safeguarding knowledge with a collaborative approach to quality assurance and service improvement.

Job Summary

The Support Line Safeguarding & Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day quality control, safeguarding oversight, and assurance of the 24/7 Support Line. Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) for the service, the postholder will provide oversight and assurance of safeguarding practices, complaints, and quality issues are managed appropriately, consistently, and in line with organisational policies, procedures and statutory requirements.

The role is responsible for coordinating and delivering a proactive quality assurance programme that assesses practice, monitors compliance with policies and procedures, identifies areas for learning and development, and supports continuous service improvement. Through audits, case reviews, and quality monitoring activities, the postholder will identify themes, risks, and opportunities to strengthen practice and improve service delivery.

The Support Line Safeguarding & Quality Assurance Coordinator will be experienced in customer service, safeguarding, and quality assurance, including responding to complaints and concerns, with the ability to communicate appropriately and sensitively with a range of stakeholders, including complainants, survivors, delivery partners, and colleagues. They will have a strong understanding of sexual violence, safeguarding responsibilities, and the wide-ranging impacts on survivors and those supporting them.

Due to the nature of the role, the post holder will be required to provide direct support to women and children who have experienced sexual violence and abuse. The role involves working in women-only spaces and delivering trauma-informed services where privacy, dignity, and the ability to build trust with service users are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Safeguarding and Quality Assurance

• Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the national 24/7 Support Line, providing safeguarding oversight, guidance, and decision-making across all delivery partners.
• Lead and coordinate safeguarding and quality assurance activity across partner organisations to ensure services are delivered safely, consistently, and in line with organisational standards, contractual requirements, legislation, and best practice.
• Identify, assess, manage, and appropriately escalate safeguarding concerns relating to adults and children, ensuring concerns are recorded and responded to in accordance with safeguarding procedures and statutory guidance.
• Oversee and undertake safeguarding audits, case reviews, complaint investigations, and quality assurance activities to monitor compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor safeguarding, complaints, and quality assurance trends across the service, identifying themes, risks, learning opportunities, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Ensure safeguarding records, referrals, investigations, and quality assurance documentation are maintained accurately, confidentially, and in line with data protection and information governance requirements.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with delivery partners, commissioners, safeguarding agencies, and other stakeholders to support collaborative service delivery and safeguarding responses.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of safeguarding and quality assurance training, guidance, and resources, working in partnership with 24/7 Support Line Managers to promote a culture of accountability, continuous learning, reflective practice, and ongoing service improvement.

Complaints, Feedback and Quality Control

• Act as the first point of contact for complaints relating to the 24/7 Support Line, ensuring responses are managed sensitively, appropriately, and within agreed timescales.
• Investigate complaints and service concerns in collaboration with delivery partners, establishing findings and making recommendations for resolution and service improvement.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of complaints, feedback, investigations, outcomes, and actions taken.
• Work with delivery partners to ensure consistent collection and review of service user feedback across the Support Line.
• Analyse concerns, risks, themes, and patterns identified through complaints, feedback, safeguarding activity, and quality assurance processes, taking responsibility for driving improvements, promoting learning, and working collaboratively with Support Line Managers to strengthen practice and enhance service quality.
• Coordinate and oversee Quality assurance activities, including call and chat monitoring, case reviews, and feedback processes, ensuring consistent application across all partners.

Data, Reporting and Insight

• Work collaboratively with the Data and Impact Coordinator to review and analyse service data, outcomes, complaints, safeguarding concerns, and quality assurance findings.
• Produce reports, summaries, and actionable insights for the Support Line Operations Manager, commissioners, or funders as required.
• Identify trends, recurring themes, and development needs across the partnership, supporting improvements to training, guidance, policies, and operational practice.
• Support the monitoring of service quality, safeguarding performance, and compliance against agreed standards and contractual requirements.

Service Improvement

• Ensure learning from safeguarding activity, complaints, feedback, and quality assurance informs continuous service improvement and operational development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and delivery partners on service improvement initiatives, including accessibility, consistency, and service user experience.
• Contribute to the development of processes and systems that strengthen quality, safeguarding practice, and partnership working across the national Support Line.

Synergy with the wider work of RCEW

• Participate in team meetings, cross-organisational projects, and wider organisational activities as required.
• Maintain effective communication and collaborative working relationships with colleagues across the organisation and partner network.
• Keep up to date with relevant legislation, safeguarding guidance, sector developments, and wider organisational priorities relevant to the role.

Person Specification*

• Experience of working to improve support services, ideally within a quality assurance, safeguarding, customer service, helpline, or support service environment.
• Experience acting as a Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO), safeguarding lead, or in a similar role with responsibility for safeguarding oversight and decision-making, or a willingness to undertake relevant DSO training.
• Experience of handling complaints, concerns, or service issues effectively and sensitively.
• Excellent knowledge of safeguarding practice, including the ability to recognise, assess, and respond appropriately to a range of safeguarding concerns relating to adults and children.
• Experience using data, feedback, and performance information to identify trends, monitor service quality, support decision-making, and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience of assessing practice, identifying learning opportunities, and supporting service and practice development.
• Strong understanding of how helpline or support services operate, including service user needs, operational challenges, and quality standards for call and chat handling.
• Knowledge of best practice in complaints handling, safeguarding, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
• Awareness of accessibility requirements and inclusive practice, with the ability to support services that are accessible to diverse user groups.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate sensitively, professionally, and appropriately with complainants, survivors, colleagues, and stakeholders.

The role will ensure that safeguarding, complaints, feedback, and quality assurance activity informs continuous improvement and supports positive outcomes for service users. Key measures of success include:

• Complaints, safeguarding concerns, and quality issues are managed effectively, appropriately, and within agreed timescales and organisational procedures.
• Quality assurance and safeguarding oversight processes are implemented consistently across all delivery partners.
• Feedback collection and engagement processes remain effective, with feedback collection rates maintained above agreed targets.
• Trends, risks, learning, and insights from safeguarding, complaints, feedback, and quality assurance activity are regularly analysed and used to inform service improvement and operational practice.
• Regular, accurate, and data-informed reports are provided to the Support Line Operations Manager or funders as required.
• Positive working relationships are maintained with delivery partners, colleagues, and external stakeholders to support safe and effective service delivery.
