About the Role
As the Sponsorship Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and effective running of the sector leading Child Sponsorship product driving high levels of supporter satisfaction and long term loyalty. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the delivery of key child content pieces, working closely with the marketing team to deliver them to supporters across multi-channels.
A confident and collaborative communicator, you will build strong relationships with colleagues across the charity, in the communities where it operates, and in the wider charity partnership. These will help you represent key stakeholders in meetings and influence thinking and process improvements.
Your strong analytical skills will allow you to interpret data, identify trends, and highlight areas for improvement. You will use these insights to propose forward thinking solutions, support colleagues across the organisation, and help maintain a supporter experience that consistently meets sponsorship standards. Confident in your decision making, you’ll know when you can approve exceptions to the norm, and when you will need to involve other teams.

Core Purpose

Key Responsibilities:
Event support
- Own and develop relationships with key Make-A-Wish event supporters including committee members, suppliers, speakers and donors.
- Project manage and/or provide event support to key Make-A-Wish flagship and high-value supporter events.
- Generate income and gift in kind for Make-A-Wish owned and high value third-party events.
- Oversee the stewardship of high value third-party events by the Events Officer.
- Be the day-to-day contact for Special Events agencies and third-party suppliers, attending and leading meetings to ensure each event is executed as smoothly and successfully as possible.
- Manage internal and external event stakeholders including Make-A-Wish BCE and volunteering teams, committee members and event suppliers in relation to their role at the event.
- Attend all the Special Events and represent Make-A-Wish in a professional manner.
- Support on the development of the special events strategy with Art of Wishes & Special Events Lead and Philanthropy Director.
- Create and manage event budgets with a focus on reducing costs and maximising net income/budget relieving GIK.
- Complete event performance evaluations including wrap-up analysis, measure against KPIs and review if goals were achieved.
- Oversee the post-event financial administration and processes with Supporter Care Team and Philanthropy Team to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Support internal teams in event planning to maximise opportunities and ensure consistent delivery.
- Identify additional opportunities for the programme both internally and externally.
- Work to identify and secure sponsorship partners for events.
Line management
- Provide engaging and motivating leadership, coaching, management and development of one direct report (Special Events Officer) which includes quarterly coaching conversations, career development conversations and more.
Supporter Management
- Support and manage organising Committees to ensure each event is executed as smoothly and successfully as possible.
- Lead committee meetings.
- Develop relationships with event supporters to increase support and GIK donations.
- Oversee the supporter journey of prize donors, prize winners and wish sponsors, including but not limited to thanking and providing feedback post-event, prize fulfilment, building long-term and sustainable relationships through correspondence.
- Work with the Volunteering team and Special Events Officer to manage volunteers including recruitment, pre-event briefings, communications, on the day and post-event thanking.
Communications and Internal Collaboration
- Take responsibility for maintaining and updating the supporter database with any event and guest details ensuring it is GDPR compliant.
- Leading and supporting on events and projects across the organisation as required.

About the Senior Communications Lead
The Senior Communications Lead is a senior, hands-on leadership role, reporting to the Executive Lead, and responsible for shaping and delivering BBA’s cross-channel communications strategy. Working closely with the Executive Lead and team, you will drive increased awareness and understanding of baby banks, ensuring communications actively enable BBA’s wider goals around funding, partnerships and sector influence.
Average UK awareness of baby banks currently sits at around 33%. Building on successful national partnerships (including IKEA and ITV’s Lorraine), this role will take BBA’s profile to the next level, embedding baby bank experiences and voices at the heart of everything we do.
As a co-incubated organisation, developed with and for baby banks, strong experience of effective collaboration and understanding of the issues that baby banks are addressing, and facing themselves, is fundamental.
You will oversee all communications activity across BBA, line manage the Communications Manager and task manage the Communications and Projects Officer, and build a small but high-impact communications function from the ground up within a resource-constrained, fast-moving organisation. Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will develop and deliver the marketing and some of the communication plans and activities across the breadth of OCT’s work.
You’ll support the Marcoms Manager and Head of Advocacy and Engagement, bringing ideas across our OCT programmes that build our profile, generate income via our events, experiences and Learning team, support fundraising, promote the role of our visitor attraction, and amplify the impact of our Ocean conservation work. This role focuses on story-telling and content creation, adapting our key messages to our diverse audiences, driving media engagement and communicating across multiple channels.
As your role will work collaboratively with many departments and stakeholders within the OCT, you will be familiar with tailoring messaging and flexing your ways of working with the relevant department heads and team members to develop and deliver campaigns and activities in a timely manner, some of which also convert into income for the charity.

You’ll work Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm based at the National Marine Aquarium, in Plymouth. There will be occasions when you’re needed to work weekends and bank holidays to meet business needs, where you will be eligible for TOIL. Job Purpose:
The Senior Trusts and Foundations Officer is an integral part of the Philanthropy team, responsible for supporting with the implementation of the Trusts and Foundations Strategy.
They are responsible for managing a portfolio of key T&F relationships, typically giving at the £50,000 - £250,000 level. In addition, they will drive new business from prospective T&Fs capable of giving between £100,000 - £250,000 and will work closely with the Trusts and Foundations Lead on new business activity above this level

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Experience of T&F fundraising including, report writing, application and proposal writing, and knowledge of restricted funding models.

Scrubditch Care Farm is a rural working farm, founded in 2010 and exists to provide therapeutic farm based activities for vulnerable people and adults with learning disabilities, through hands on work including animal care, gardening, cooking and woodworking. We are open Monday to Friday and deliver structured sessions for our students, plus community events and Outreach visits with other organisations.

The role

In this unique and rewarding role, you'll be the welcoming face of Stella Maris in your region, visiting ships, listening to crew members, and offering practical, pastoral and spiritual support to anyone in need, regardless of faith or background.
About the role
No two days are the same. You might spend the morning visiting ships and listening to crew members' stories, help someone contact their family back home, support a seafarer in crisis, or offer a quiet moment of prayer on deck.
You'll also recruit and support a team of volunteers, work closely with other maritime charities and local partners, and build strong relationships with parishes, dioceses, and port authorities. You'll be part of a nationwide network of Stella Maris chaplains, supported through regular meetings, retreats and professional development opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Visit ships regularly to meet seafarers and fishers, responding to their pastoral, practical and spiritual needs.
- Provide practical help such as transport, communication access, and emergency or crisis support.
