Who we are
We are OUTpatients, the UK’s LGBTIQ+ cancer charity. Proudly led by and for our community, we are here to shake up the system, advocate for equity, and stand up for every LGBTIQ+ person affected by cancer. Our passion to support others is born out of personal experience; we understand what it’s like to not see yourself reflected in the services you use, and feel like you are left in the margins at a time when you most need personalised support. That is why we host peer support, educate healthcare professionals and help to shape national policy so that nobody has to go through cancer alone.
The position
The Head of Fundraising & Business Development is one of three new senior leadership roles we're creating alongside our CEO, the first time OUTpatients has built a leadership team of this kind. It's a rare chance to build an income generation function from scratch, not inherit and manage one that already exists.
You'll be the driving force behind how we fund our growth: designing and delivering a multi-channel income strategy spanning trusts and grants, corporate partnerships, individual giving and commercialised education products, and personally securing the gifts and partnerships that sustain our peer support, healthcare education and advocacy work. This is a hands-on, deeply personal role. You'll write the bids, pitch the sponsors and build the relationships yourself, not oversee others doing it.
Working closely with our incoming Chief Operating Officer and Chief Medical Officer, and reporting directly to our CEO, your work will directly shape how many more LGBTIQ+ people affected by cancer we're able to reach.

About School of Hard Knocks
School of Hard Knocks (SOHK) is one of the UK’s leading education charities, working in 29 secondary schools across England, Scotland, and Wales. Using rugby as a key delivery tool, we support young people who are struggling to engage in early secondary education - often because of anxiety, low confidence, disrupted home lives, or behavioural challenges rooted in trauma. For many of the children we support, life has already brought more hardship than most adults experience in a lifetime. Our purpose is clear: to help young people facing complex challenges break the cycle and move towards a safer, stronger, more hopeful future.
The SOHK Schools Programme is a two-year intervention working with cohorts of around 20 pupils from Year 7 through to Year 9. Pupils are selected by the school and are typically among the hardest to reach young people. Each week, we deliver half a day of rugby training and classroom sessions built around our 3Cs framework, covering topics such as growth mindset, goal setting, and decision-making, alongside monthly one-to-one sessions with every pupil. The programme’s impact is evaluated by SOHK staff, teachers, parents, and the pupils themselves.
90% of our participants report feeling more confident and more engaged with school after taking part, with long-term effects on attendance, attainment, and life outcomes. Find out more about our Schools Programme.
Since 2023, SOHK has been proud to partner with Impetus, a charity that invests in and supports organisations helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds succeed. This partnership combines investment with strategic and organisational development support, helping to strengthen our impact and set SOHK up for sustainable growth.
We are proud to be delivering long-term programmes that meaningfully reach hundreds of young people each year - but the societal need is vast. Our ambitious four-year strategic plan targets growth, aiming to bring our impactful programme to hundreds more young people each year.
“Despite the usual challenges that every education or sport for development charity faces, School of Hard Knocks really is unique. It is not so much what we deliver at a programme level (which is of course brilliant) but who we are as a team. If you are a values-led leader and love the idea of ‘team’, then School of Hard Knocks is the place for you.”
- Ken Cowen, Founder and outgoing CEO

Job Title:Key Relationships Manager
Salary:£46,000 per annum
Location:Hybrid: London Office and Home
Hours of work:Full-time (35 hours per week)
Reporting to:Head of Key Relationships
Premier, the UK’s largest Christian media agency, is seeking a Key Relationships Manager who shares our passion for helping people encounter God through media and experience renewal.
Behind Premier’s ministry are generous supporters who make this work possible. Through thoughtful conversations, careful listening and a compelling invitation to give, you could help people connect their generosity with a mission close to their hearts — bringing the Gospel, encouragement and hope into everyday lives.
Role Overview:
You will build meaningful relationships with existing and prospective supporters, helping them discover how their giving can support Premier’s mission. Working with senior colleagues, you will guide relationships from first introduction through to a thoughtful invitation to give and ongoing care.
Alongside warmth and conviction, you will need persistence, disciplined follow-through and the confidence to ask for significant financial support when relationships are ready — potentially including gifts of up to seven figures. You do not need to have made asks at this level before, but you must be willing to learn.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Building lasting partnerships: Develop and care for a portfolio of supporters, securing major gifts and multi-year commitments towards your annual six-figure target.
- Opening new conversations: Research and approach potential supporters, including senior individuals in the City’s corporate community, and create proposals that connect their giving aspirations with Premier’s mission.
- Representing Premier: Communicate our mission at donor meetings and events, involving senior colleagues where appropriate.
- Following through with care: Maintain accurate records, timely follow-up and monthly reporting, treating supporters with respect and following the Code of Fundraising Practice.
We are looking for someone with:
- A living Christian faith and a heart for the Gospel: A faith you can articulate clearly, commitment to Premier’s mission and a good understanding of the Christian community.
- A gift for relationships: Proven ability to build new professional connections and nurture trust, including with senior or influential people, through empathy, listening, tact and discretion.
- Purposeful communication: Excellent writing, presentation and conversational skills, with the confidence to represent Premier and a willingness to learn to ask directly for significant support.
- Initiative and accountability: Proven success against targets, resourcefulness in identifying opportunities, sound analytical judgement and a commitment to both personal responsibility and teamwork.
- Organisation and a learning mindset: Careful administration and follow-through, confident IT skills and the ability to learn new systems; degree-level education or equivalent knowledge and ability gained through professional experience.
Ideally, you will understand the principles of the major donor journey, but previous experience managing major donors or securing large gifts is not essential.
We are particularly interested in your commitment to Premier’s mission and your ability to build trust and turn conversations into lasting relationships. You might bring these strengths from account management, sales, fundraising or another relationship-focused role. We can help you develop the specialist fundraising skills – if you have empathy, initiative, sound judgement and a willingness to learn, this could be your next role!
Location and availability: This is a primarily London-based role. You must live within daily commutable distance of the City of London and be able to attend London meetings and donor visits at least two days each week, with attendance at Premier’s London office as required. Additional travel and occasional evening and weekend work are also required.
Please note that Premier is a Christian media agency and this role has a genuine occupational requirement for the post holder to have a personal Christian faith.

About Us
Forever Young People CIC delivers relationship-led community programmes across Hertfordshire, currently anchored by our community youth projects and our Dot to Dot mum and baby group. We're part of the wider Forever Young People family, which has spent years building trust-based, relationship-first work with young people and families across the county.
We're at a turning point: our CIC has a real track record and real potential, but no one whose full-time job it is to lead it. That's where you come in.
The Role
We're looking for someone to take genuine ownership of the CIC — its strategy, its funding, and its future programmes — reporting directly to our CEO. You'll line-manage our Trusts & Foundations fundraising consultant, decide which funding opportunities to pursue, and build the relationships and programmes that take the CIC beyond what we've already started.
This isn't a role where you'll be handed a finished playbook. It's a role for someone who wants to build one.
You'll:
- Set the CIC's strategic direction, in partnership with our CEO
- Own our funding pipeline and manage our fundraising consultant
- Spot and develop new community programmes rooted in genuine local need
- Support our existing Programmes as they continue to grow
- Build the relationships — funders, partners, commissioners — that the CIC's future depends on
About You
You don't need to have done exactly this job before — but you do need to have done something like it. You're someone who can set a strategy and still get your hands dirty. You've probably managed a freelancer or consultant before. You've built relationships with funders or partners when resources were tight, not abundant. And most importantly, you actually want to build something — not just keep an existing programme ticking over.
Experience with trusts and foundations fundraising, youth or family support work, or a background moving from a founder-led organisation toward distributed leadership would all be a bonus, though none are essential.
The Details
- Hours: 3 days/week to start, with planned growth in days as the CIC's income and pipeline grow
- Salary: £26,000–£30,000 FTE, pro-rata for 3 days/week, depending on experience
- Reports to: CEO, Ashley Howard
- Manages: Trusts & Foundations Fundraising Consultant; future CIC staff as the team grows
- Contract: Senior staff role — not a statutory company director
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the delivery of high-quality stewardship and donor engagement for some of Crisis' most committed supporters. As Stewardship Manager, you will ensure high-value donors receive meaningful, timely and supporter-centred communications and experiences that build trust, confidence and long-term support for our mission.
You will also lead and develop a small stewardship team, driving excellent delivery, strong processes and effective use of CRM and engagement systems. This is a highly collaborative role that combines people management, project delivery and supporter-focused thinking.
Your experience
We are very open to hearing from a range of candidates with different backgrounds. You may be:
- A Stewardship Manager, Donor Relations Manager or Donor Experience Manager, leading supporter engagement, reporting and stewardship programmes for major donors, trusts or corporate partners.
- A Major Giving, Philanthropy or Trusts fundraiser who enjoys donor engagement who wants to specialise in supporter experience.
- A fundraising operations or supporter engagement professional with experience coordinating communications, events and donor journeys across complex stakeholder groups.
About you
- You have experience delivering donor stewardship, supporter engagement or relationship management activity in a high value fundraising environment, preferably across multiple high value fundraising types such as trusts, philanthropy and partnerships.
- You are skilled at managing multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
- You can translate impact, financial or programme information into engaging communications for external audiences.
- You have experience managing or supervising staff and supporting teams to deliver excellent results.

- Above all, you are motivated by Crisis' mission and values and want to help end homelessness for good

- Enhanced maternity, paternity, shared parental and adoption pay.
- Flexible working around the core hours 10am to 4pm.
- Wellbeing Leave to be used flexibly.
- And more! (Full list of benefits available on the Crisis website.)
