Rays of Sunshine, recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026, is looking for an experienced and proactive Executive Assistant to the CEO to join our small, ambitious and collaborative team.
This is a varied part-time role at the heart of the organisation, working closely with the CEO to provide high-quality executive support and help coordinate governance, projects, organisational priorities and key operational activity.
You will be joining Rays of Sunshine at an exciting point in our development, with a clear focus on strengthening how we work, delivering our ambitions well and continuing to grow our impact for seriously ill children and their families.
This is much more than a traditional diary-management role. You will work closely with the CEO across a broad range of priorities, helping to create structure, maintain momentum and ensure important actions are followed through. The role will involve coordinating meetings, briefings and actions; supporting Committee and governance processes; helping to keep key organisational projects on track; and providing practical support across operational activity.
You will also play an important role in the wider rhythm of the organisation, helping to coordinate team meetings, collaborative sessions, away days, staff engagement activity and actions arising from staff feedback.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, calm under pressure and confident working independently. You will need excellent judgement and absolute discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. You will be someone who can anticipate what is needed, take ownership of tasks through to completion and build strong relationships with colleagues, Trustees, advisers, partners and suppliers.
Our team is small, values-led and ambitious. We value collaboration, kindness, accountability and a willingness to get stuck in. Because of our size, everyone has a visible impact, and this role will suit someone who enjoys being at the centre of an organisation, understands how to keep things moving and takes pride in doing the small things exceptionally well.
Experience in governance or the charity sector would be helpful but is not essential. We are more interested in finding someone with strong EA or senior coordination experience, excellent judgement and the ability to bring structure and pace to a busy environment.

The Evaluation and Observational Research team sits within the overall Research team, and designs and implements primary research projects in collaboration with the Programmes team at the NIoT.
About the role
We are seeking a Research Assistant to join our team and play a crucial role in the generation of high-quality and useful evidence on effective teacher professional development. You will work alongside a team of Research Fellows, Research Assistants and the Head of Evaluation and Observational Research to design and implement academic research alongside the programmes designed and delivered by NIoT.
These roles include opportunities to contribute to research design of new research; collect quantitative and/or qualitative data; conduct quantitative and/or qualitative analyses; contribute to high-quality written outputs for academic audiences and policymakers, and other outputs to raise the impact of our research. In addition to having quantitative or mixed-methods research experience, you will be an innovative and practice-minded researcher who strives to make cutting-edge research relevant, engaging, and useful for practitioners in teacher education.
The Evaluation and Observational Research team design and conduct research into teacher training and development. These roles will work on one or both of projects into: teacher training and development, such as Initial Teacher Education, the Early Career Framework, and National Professional Qualifications; and system leadership development.
This is a hybrid role, with the requirement for in person working for a minimum of once a fortnight, occasionally this will be more due to business need. The role includes participation in our annual all-staff away day (including an overnight stay) and occasional national travel.
Essential criteria:
· Master’s degree study in education, psychology, social science, health sciences, economics, or other related field
- Experience contributing to quantitative (e.g., experimental, quasi-experimental, observational) and/or qualitative research design
- Quantitative (e.g., advanced inferential techniques, sampling methods, and power analyses), qualitative (e.g., handling large amounts of textual data, iterative research design, thematic coding), and/or mixed-methods (combining and integrating quantitative and qualitative methods) data management and analysis skills
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving
- Reflective approach to practice, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Advanced proficiency in R for data management, statistical analysis, visualisation and reproducible research
- A commitment to the aims of the National Institute of Teaching
- An interest in the education sector and a belief in the value of teachers and school leaders

- Doctoral degree in education, social science, health sciences, or other related field

Leicester Animal Aid is an animal welfare charity founded in 1956, accommodating relinquished, unwanted and abandoned cats and dogs within a 4.5-acre purpose-built rehoming centre in Huncote, Leicestershire. Animals are cared for by a professional, qualified and experienced animal care team, supported by excellent veterinary services. About the Role
This is a key role within a driven, talented and successful professional fundraising team, all with a genuine passion and enthusiasm for our mission to provide a second chance for cats and dogs and to rehome pets into loving, responsible homes. Joining at an exciting time of growth, you will help shape the future fundraising strategy while leading the Charity's impact, insight and fundraising infrastructure, ensuring it has the evidence, systems and strategic clarity needed to secure sustainable income and deliver meaningful supporter experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage data and reporting systems and optimise processes to build and maintain long-term supporter relationships and overall income growth.
- Lead the Charity's impact, insight and fundraising infrastructure, providing evidence, systems and impact narrative to underpin fundraising and supporter experience.
- Act as the central point for collating and organising impact evidence, including stories, statistics, outcomes and need, for appeals, campaigns, individual approaches and grant applications.
- Line manage and support the Supporter Experience Coordinator and Impact and Insights Coordinator (both future roles).
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience developing and implementing fundraising systems.
- Knowledge of fundraising databases such as Harlequin, Raiser's Edge or similar, including data extraction, segmentation and reporting.
- Demonstrable experience of successful supporter relationship building, stewardship, research and fundraising operations.
- Team leadership, line management and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and lead our youth work at a time of development
You’ll manage a small team of youth practitioners and sessional workers while staying connected to frontline delivery. You’ll oversee and deliver group activities, after-school drop-ins and one-to-one mentoring, as well as developing holiday programmes, youth leadership and social action opportunities.
You’ll also help shape the future of our youth provision, working with colleagues across Oasis Hub Waterloo to develop our 0–18 strategy and create new, collaborative services.
Partnership working is central to the role. You’ll develop strong relationships with Oasis Academy South Bank, local youth organisations, community partners and statutory services, helping connect education, health and community provision around the needs of young people.
About you
You’ll bring significant experience of working directly with young people aged 10+, alongside the skills and confidence to lead and develop a youth service.

Summary
The Woodfield Project (TWP) is seeking an enthusiastic Deputy Manager to help run our beautifully refurbished community hub on Tooting Bec Common, in SW London. In close collaboration with the TWP Manager, you will coordinate daily operations, deliver a lively programme of events and activities, support members and volunteers and help grow new initiatives. Working closely with the Trustee Board, you’ll also ensure the Pavilion remains sustainable and continues to thrive at the heart of the local community.
About us
The Woodfield Project is a vibrant, community-focused charity responsible for The Woodfield Pavilion located on Tooting Bec Common, in South-West London. The Pavilion serves as a lively community hub, offering events and activities that: support social wellbeing; bring the local community together; and encourage appreciation and care for the surrounding natural environment. The Pavilion spaces are ideal for meetings, classes, and exhibitions, along with a well-equipped kitchen, toilets and a locker room. As well as hosting its own events and activities, the Pavilion is hired by external organisations for wellbeing classes, workshops and events.
Purpose and scope of role
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and energetic Deputy Manager with the skills and experience to support and drive forward our mission of ensuring that the Pavilion serves as a vital resource for local communities and groups and to actively encourage participation from members and volunteers who share our passion for making a difference.
The Trustee Board provides governance and strategic leadership for the charity. The Deputy Manager will work alongside the TWP Manager to coordinate the day-to-day running of the building and plan and deliver an engaging programme of community events and activities, as well as develop new activities. The role includes operational management, future planning and ensuring a sustainable income and membership base.
The Deputy Manager will report to the TWP Manager and work collaboratively with the full Board, as well as with individual trustees on specific issues.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Delivery
- Supporting all aspects of the day-to-day management and operation of the Pavilion in line with the Charity’s mission and aims, within the framework set by the trustees.

Purpose of the job

- Offer advice on nature-based solutions and grant funding to farmers and landowners.
- Plant 30,000 trees annually.

Main purpose of the role
We are looking for a passionate, caring and proactive Registered Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a high-quality, person-centred care and support service for adults with learning disabilities.
The right candidate will lead a supportive team of two House Leaders, working across two locations, and will support the Community Leader in enabling the Community to grow and flourish while ensuring our care and support is not only consistent with CQC requirements but also with the values of L’Arche.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- At least a level 3 Health and Social Care qualification.
- Capability to complete a level 5 qualification in leadership/management in Social Care.
- Knowledge and experience in social care or supported living is a key requirement for this role, but we’re also looking for someone with a commitment to our values and the ability to inspire others.
- Demonstrable experience of a minimum of 2 years of management experience in social care, including supervisory experience in health and social care.
- Experience of managing or being involved with CQC inspections in a social care environment.
- Knowledge of current care and support legislation and good practice, including adult protection and capacity issues.
- Experience in leading and working with teams to provide high-quality support and care to people with learning disabilities.
- Ability to manage the performance and development of others: to be able to assess, give feedback, manage conflict and make evaluative judgements about the performance of staff and volunteers.
