This role would suit a Corporate Fundraising Officer looking to step up, or someone keen to take on a larger, more strategic portfolio while remaining hands-on with delivery and relationship management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and growing an established portfolio of corporate partners
- Developing new business, with a focus on local corporate opportunities
- Building strong, long-term relationships across a mix of partnership types
- Supporting corporate-led events and wider community fundraising activity
- Working closely with fundraising and communications colleagues
- Accurately recording activity and income using a CRM
Location & working pattern
The organisation is based on a beautiful site between Teddington and Hampton Wick, offering a genuinely lovely working environment.
The team typically works 2–3 days per week in the office, with Tuesday as the anchor team day, and the remainder working from home.

Communication – you will capture and develop stories about our work for use with fundraising, relationship building and reporting, contributing to regular newsletters, website updates and social media posts.

ScotsCare is a modern charity with a 420 year-old history, providing financial, practical and emotional support to first and second generation Scots and their families in Greater London. We support three client groups, children and families, working age adults and older people, with a wide range of services including family support, counselling, advocacy, financial support, sheltered housing, homelessness, social events and befriending
We are currently seeking to appoint a part time Community Engagement Co-ordinator for our charity based in central London.
The Community Engagement Co-ordinator is responsible for developing with the Communications Manager a community engagement strategy for ScotsCare, in order to increase awareness and engagement with ScotsCare services and support, with the aim of increasing the number of people using ScotsCare services. A particular focus is on building relationships with organisations that engage with potential clients (ScotsCare service users), including councils, NHS, local community partners, service providers and other charities.
Key Duties include:
- Cultivate positive relationships with partnerships with all relevant stakeholders.
- Increase the visibility and understanding of the work of the charity.
- Attend community events (in-person and online) as a ScotsCare representative, including some evening and weekend events.
- Identify agencies and groups in the community who could benefit from understanding the work of the charity and provide in-person and/or online presentations and overviews.
- Lead staff and volunteers and act as their main point of contact providing support with undertaking community engagement activities.
- Create marketing and messaging materials of both written and data elements to include pamphlets, brochures, and presentations, newsletters and social media posts.
- Work with Communications team to update relevant information on the charity’s website.
- Monitor and evaluate impact over the course of the year.

Team responsibilities
Co-operate within the total staff group of ScotsCare ensuring an effective service to clients and contribute to team training and skill sharing among team members as appropriate.
General
Be prepared to undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the position as required by the Chief Executive.
Renumeration and Terms
- The salary for this post is £36,113
- Hybrid working
- This role reports to the Communications Manager
- There will be a 7-13% contribution (dependent on employee level of contribution) from ScotsCare towards a Pension Scheme
- 25 Days annual leave plus statutory holidays

- The place of work is based at ScotsCare’s Head Quarters at 183-185 Bermondsey Street, SE1 3UW, however the post holder will be required to work on an community engagement basis across the 35 mile radius from Charing Cross catchment area. We have flexible working guidelines in place which include some working from home.

About You.

You will have a strong knowledge of Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent and be able to work/travel throughout the county.

About the Role.
We are investing in our Fundraising and Development team to deliver an ambitious 5-year fundraising strategy. The Trusts and Philanthropy Manager is pivotal in securing philanthropic support from trusts and foundations, legacies, major donors, and corporate partners.
Over the strategy period you will be responsible for developing annual trust and grant income to £500,000+, by securing grants of five figures and above and gaining multi-year donations.Using your experience in creating strong cases for support, including unrestricted costs, and pipeline development, you will work with two part-time colleagues to increase annual income from major donors, legacies and corporate partners to £250,000+ (excluding exceptional legacy gifts).
With curiosity, you will identify funding opportunities and reach new audiences. You will thrive on building strong, long-lasting relationships, cultivating donors through verbal and written communications, and managing stewardship events.
As a senior manager, you will have budget responsibility, report regularly, and mitigate under performance.You will ensure joined-up planning and delivery, developing fundraising relationships across income streams, and you will enjoy line management, collaborating with others, and leading project groups to deliver targets on deadlines.
A typical week is expected to include at least 2 days from our Wolseley Head Office, 1-2days in Staffordshire to secure new support and meet donors, the remaining time worked remotely, with flexibility as required.
