764 Community programmes manager jobs
About the Role
This Youth Development Mentor for young men is part of Bright Futures, our mentoring and employability support programme for young Gypsy and Traveller people aged 15-25. You will build trusted, consistent 1-1 mentoring relationships with young men, supporting them to grow in confidence, work out what they want, and build the skills to get there.
You will deliver the programme's set mentoring offer, adapting your approach to individuals as needed, alongside group sessions on skills and personal development. Many of the young men we work with have had negative experiences of school or other services and are often not in education, employment or training (NEET). The role is about helping the young men move forward at a pace that works for them, towards something they've chosen and can stick with, rather than pushing them down a set route. You will keep detailed records of progress and milestones reached.
You will also play a role in outreach and community engagement – building relationships with families and community members. This includes keeping up good working relationships with colleges, training providers and employers, and making sure young people's voices are heard, both within Bright Futures and externally.
This role is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.
About You
This role is for someone who wants to make a real difference in young people's lives – someone committed to supporting young men from marginalised and underserved communities to get equitable access to opportunities, and to helping bring about wider change for those communities.
You will enjoy the challenge of working with young men who may take time to trust and engage, and see that as part of what makes the role rewarding.
The role is ideal for someone with experience of mentoring, youth work or a similar community-based role working with young men (paid or voluntary). Someone patient, non-judgemental and comfortable adapting support to suit the person in front of you. You will be just as comfortable speaking to family members as with college staff or social services.
We don't expect you to already have all the answers – what matters most is your commitment and ability to build genuine, trusting relationships and to keep going with young people who may take time to open up. We will support your development through supervision, training and a small, collaborative team environment.
We know not everyone will meet every requirement in the job description below, but if you feel you have what it takes, please apply and tell us how your experience and skills make you suitable.
If you are not sure what the work looks like or you want to ask questions before applying, we are happy to chat with you about the role. Please contact Mini Ravi (Programme Lead) by calling our office phone.

Job Title: Digital Content & Community Lead
Location: London, Salford or Belfast, based from an RFF office with hybrid working arrangements and extensive travel across the UK and Ireland
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 36 hours per week
Reports to: Deputy CEO & Director of Development
Job Description:
You’ll lead RFF’s Instagram and TikTok presence, creating distinctive social-first content and building engaged digital communities around our work.
This is a hands-on role. You’ll spend time with young people, staff, partners and ambassadors across the UK and Ireland, spotting, capturing and creating content that brings the Foundation to life. While Instagram and TikTok will be at the heart of the role, you’ll also support RFF’s wider digital and communications activity as required — including creating and adapting content for platforms such as LinkedIn, X and YouTube, supporting email communications and press activity, and helping strengthen RFF’s media presence around key events and opportunities.
We’re open to emerging talent and care more about what you can create, your understanding of digital communities and your creative instincts than where you learned your skills.
KEY DUTIES:
Social Content & Community
- Take day-to-day ownership of RFF’s Instagram and TikTok channels, growing active and engaged communities around our work.
- Develop a forward content plan while responding creatively to trends, conversations and opportunities in real time.
- Listen to our audiences, engage actively with our communities and use insight and performance to continually improve our content.
Content Creation & Production
- Proactively identify content opportunities across RFF’s work, partnerships and events, and plan, film, photograph, interview and edit high-quality social-first content across a range of formats.
- Create content specifically for digital platforms, particularly short-form video for Instagram Reels and TikTok, and maximise content captured by adapting it effectively across formats and channels.
- Use and advise on appropriate production equipment, software and tools, while maintaining an organised digital content and asset library for the Foundation.
Young People & Youth-led Content
- Build positive and appropriate relationships with young people, creating content with them rather than simply about them and representing their personalities, perspectives, interests and achievements authentically.
- Create opportunities for young people to contribute as creators, presenters, interviewers and storytellers and, over time, help identify and develop aspiring young content creators from across RFF.
- Ensure all content involving young people is created, captured, stored and used in line with RFF’s safeguarding, consent and data-protection requirements.
Partnerships, Ambassadors & Collaboration
- Work creatively with RFF’s corporate and industry partners, ambassadors and wider network to develop co-created content, campaigns and opportunities that benefit both RFF and its collaborators.
- Build strong relationships with partner communications and social teams, identifying opportunities for collaborative content, cross-platform amplification and reaching new communities and audiences.
- Work confidently across different environments - from community youth sessions to major corporate, media, sporting and cultural events - adapting your approach to different people, audiences and opportunities.
Wider Digital Content
- Support the creation and adaptation of content across RFF’s wider digital ecosystem, including YouTube, LinkedIn, X and the Foundation’s website, while keeping Instagram and TikTok as the primary focus.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support wider communications activity, including email communications, press and media activity, campaigns, launches and events, and make effective use of strong content across channels.
- Bring ideas about new platforms, formats, technologies and approaches that could strengthen RFF’s digital presence and help our content reach and engage different audiences.
Insight & Performance
- Monitor channel and content performance, using analytics to understand engagement, community growth, reach, audience behaviour and what content is creating meaningful interaction.
- Test new approaches and formats, learn from performance and audience response, and use those insights to continually develop RFF’s social content and community approach.
- Keep up to date with developments across social media, digital content, creator culture and platform changes, sharing clear insights and emerging opportunities with the Director of Development and wider team.
To apply, please send:
• Your CV;
• A short introduction telling us why the role and the Rio Ferdinand Foundation interest you; and
• Your portfolio or links to examples of your work. This can include professional, freelance or personal
projects and social accounts.
We’d also like you to briefly tell us:
• About a digital community you’ve helped to build or engage, and the role you played;
• What excites you about the opportunity to develop RFF’s Instagram and TikTok communities; and
• Any other creative, digital or platform skills you could bring to the role.

Help turn local generosity into life-changing support for people when they need it most.
At Braintree Area Foodbank, we believe no one in our community should have to face hunger or hardship alone.
We provide emergency food and practical support to individuals and families in crisis, while working towards longer-term solutions to poverty. You will have the freedom to identify opportunities, develop new ideas and build fundraising activity from a relatively blank slate. While we already have an established base of supporters and fundraising materials, there is significant scope to develop new relationships, improve supporter engagement and create sustainable sources of unrestricted income.
Working closely with the Charity Manager, staff and Trustees, you will play a key role in building a fundraising function capable of making a significant contribution towards the foodbank's future.

- Growing individual giving, including encouraging one-off supporters to become regular donors.
- Identifying and approaching new supporters and proactively developing fundraising opportunities.
- Developing campaigns, appeals, newsletters and other communications that inspire people to support our work.
- Creating a structured approach to supporter stewardship, ensuring donors understand the difference their support makes.
- Building and maintaining a clear pipeline of fundraising opportunities and relationships.
- Maintaining accurate supporter records and ensuring appropriate GDPR and data protection practices.
- Monitoring fundraising activity and income, evaluating what works and reporting progress to the Charity Manager and Trustees.
- Developing and implementing an annual fundraising plan.
- Representing the foodbank at meetings, networking events and within the local community.
This job is for you if...
- You have experience in fundraising, business development, sales, income generation or another role involving securing financial support.

- You are an excellent communicator, both in person and in writing.
- You are proactive, self-motivated and enjoy working independently.
- You can turn ideas into practical action and are comfortable building something new.
- You are organised and able to manage multiple relationships, opportunities and priorities.
- You are confident using databases, spreadsheets, email and standard office software.
- You share our commitment to treating people experiencing hardship with dignity and respect.
Experience of charity fundraising, corporate partnerships, individual giving, community fundraising or supporter databases would be an advantage, but we welcome applications from people with transferable experience from other sectors.

Why join us?
This is an opportunity to make a real difference locally while building something with long-term potential. You won't simply be maintaining an existing fundraising programme, you'll have the opportunity to shape it, grow it and help create a more sustainable future for a charity supporting thousands of people across our community.
