The Role
Having launched our Youth Adventure Programmes in Somerset in 2024, we are now looking for somebody who wants to take the next step in their fundraising career to build on the foundations of the last two years and significantly increase our presence in the county.
As our Regional Corporate Fundraiser, you'll be the driving force behind our local business partnerships, working with both large companies operating in the region and smaller local businesses looking to support their communities.
Your role will encompass:

Relationship building: Identifying and securing new corporate partnerships while providing high-quality stewardship to our existing Somerset-based supporters.

Community Engagement: Championing our work in Somerset by giving engaging talks to community groups and networking with local businesses.

Event delivery: Playing a key role in delivering local fundraising challenge events, the bi-annual Somerset Adventure Dinner and developing new opportunities to unite the Somerset business community behind our mission.
You'll work closely with the Corporate Partnership Manager and the Director of Fundraising and Communications to ensure each proposal is bespoke and every corporate partner understands the impact of their support on local young people. You must live in Somerset, have a good local awareness and be willing to travel around the county and beyond to nurture long-lasting, strategic relationships.

The Charity
At the Youth Adventure Trust, we use outdoor adventure to empower vulnerable young people from Swindon, Wiltshire and Somerset to fulfil their potential and lead positive lives in the future. We work with them to build resilience, develop confidence and learn skills that will last a lifetime, helping them to face the challenges in their lives. Dedicated support, guidance and mentoring from our staff and volunteers ensures young people receive the maximum benefit from our long-term intervention. Our aim is to make a lasting improvement to the lives of vulnerable young people. All our services are provided completely free of charge to the young people who are nominated by schools and other youth organisations to take part.

We are currently seeking to appoint a part time Community Engagement Co-ordinator for our charity based in central London.
The Community Engagement Co-ordinator is responsible for developing with the Communications Manager a community engagement strategy for ScotsCare, in order to increase awareness and engagement with ScotsCare services and support, with the aim of increasing the number of people using ScotsCare services. A particular focus is on building relationships with organisations that engage with potential clients (ScotsCare service users), including councils, NHS, local community partners, service providers and other charities.
Key Duties include:
- Cultivate positive relationships with partnerships with all relevant stakeholders.
- Increase the visibility and understanding of the work of the charity.
- Attend community events (in-person and online) as a ScotsCare representative, including some evening and weekend events.
- Identify agencies and groups in the community who could benefit from understanding the work of the charity and provide in-person and/or online presentations and overviews.
- Lead staff and volunteers and act as their main point of contact providing support with undertaking community engagement activities.
- Create marketing and messaging materials of both written and data elements to include pamphlets, brochures, and presentations, newsletters and social media posts.
- Work with Communications team to update relevant information on the charity’s website.
- Monitor and evaluate impact over the course of the year.

Renumeration and Terms

Pipeline Management
- Support the development and maintenance of a robust prospect pipeline, ensuring it aligns with the income targets and timelines of the capital appeal and core funding opportunities.
- Work closely with the rest of the Relationship Engagement Team to prioritise prospects and support with research required for cultivation activities.
- Track and update prospect records in the charity’s CRM system, Microsoft Dynamics, to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Ethical Research and Compliance
- Ensure all research is conducted ethically, legally, and in line with data protection regulations and best practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling donor and prospect information.
Collaboration and Reporting
- Collaborate with fundraising colleagues to share insights and ensure a coordinated approach to donor cultivation.
- Prepare regular reports on research activities, prospect pipeline status, and key insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Support the Relationship Engagement Team with ad hoc research needs, such as preparation for donor meetings or events.
Knowledge and Expereince
- Proven experience in prospect research, fundraising, or a related field, preferably in the charity sector.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise large amounts of information into clear and actionable insights.

Purpose of the job

About the role
The UK Network of Age-friendly Communities has grown significantly over the past five years. Part of a global movement of Age-friendly Cities and Communities, affiliated to the World Health Organisation, our goal is to support this growing network, ensuring it remains a positive and thriving community of practice, and a place for good ideas to spread fast.
With line management responsibility for a Learning Officer, the postholder will plan and implement a programme of activity to inspire, connect, and support network members using a range of engaging and creative methods including:

An understanding of the local policy context around ageing and older people is desirable, but not essential. However, an understanding of how change happens ‘on the ground’, and how learning and networks can support this is key.
You will also be passionate about equity and tackling the inequalities that prevent people from having a great later life.

About the Role
We are looking for an Operations Coordinator to cover adoption leave, likely for one year. This is a vital role in keeping BeSpace running smoothly and enabling our small but growing team to thrive. You will also, where needed, play a hands-on role in supporting churches and schools in our work.
In this role, you will:
- Take responsibility for key operational processes including recruitment, HR, and volunteer management systems — not only maintaining them effectively but actively seeking ways to innovate and strengthen them, with guidance and support from senior leaders.

Strategic leadership

Income growth & diversification
As a part-time role within a small charity, the postholder will need to carefully prioritise income-generating opportunities alongside stewardship and relationship management. In year one, a key focus will be establishing effective donor pathways through the rollout of our new CRM, ensuring supporters experience clear and meaningful journeys with the charity. Alongside this, the Senior Fundraising Manager will assess and determine which early opportunities for growth should be prioritised. While areas such as community fundraising, digital campaigns and regular giving are likely to offer early potential, the postholder will lead decisions on where to focus effort and investment to generate the strongest returns.
- Leverage and optimise existing community and public fundraising activity to increase income and supporter numbers.
- Develop and grow new revenue streams, to potentially include digital fundraising campaigns, regular giving, trusts and grants, and legacy giving.
- Lead creatively and intellectually on compelling campaigning initiatives that drive engagement and income.

- Use CRM data and financial information to track performance, analyse trends and adjust strategy as required.
Data & impact
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including ICO guidance, GDPR and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
- Work closely with the Finance & Operations Manager to ensure our data meaningfully represents organisational outcomes.

About the role
