Days/Hours per Week: 35 hours per week, working from 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch break. Monday to Friday.

Purpose of the Job 

We are seeking to hire 2 Individual Giving Officers. As the Individual Giving Officer, you will support the Individual Giving Managers developing our individual giving programmes, including acquisition through face to face, digital and direct mail channels and innovate within the space. The post-holder will take on specific campaigns and manage these from inception to completion including data selection, creative, print and post-campaign analysis. The role also offers a fantastic opportunity for the post-holder to help drive innovation in Individual Giving at Felix. 

Duties & Responsibilities 

The key focus of the role will be: 

1. Supporting the Individual Giving Managers with acquisition and retention activities. 
2. Taking a proactive role in supporter stewardship 
3. Insight and Evaluation 

Campaign Management – Supporter Acquisition and Retention  

• Help deliver a calendar of activities across digital and traditional channels in line with agreed budget targets  
• Campaign manage supporter updates from inception to completion including data selection, creative, print and post-campaign analysis  

Supporter Stewardship  

• Be proactive in refining and improving supporter stewardship processes and assist with updating related policies as required  
• Support the supporter care team with queries where required  
• Take a lead in updating and monitoring the Fundraising complaints log  

Developing in Legacy giving programme 

• Support in the development of an effective legacy acquisition and stewardship programme.  

Insight & Evaluation 

•  Produce post-campaign reports and make recommendations on refining approaches to improve overall performance 
•  Monitor Supporter attrition levels and implement measures to mitigate drop-offs  

Collaboration  

• Work with Senior Individual Giving and Legacy Manager on new income-generation opportunities  
• Work with the Marketing team to maximise opportunities utilising social media platforms  

General  

• Understanding of the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Practice, data protection and other relevant legislation, guidance and good practice 

Essential Criteria 

• Proven track record of campaign management across Individual Giving, across both acquisition and retention methods. 
• Previous experience of creating supporter journeys that have reduced attrition rates and increased supporter engagement. 
• Experience of using supporter databases for audience segmentation and insight. 
• Experience of supporter (or customer) care and managing queries and complaints. 
• Good numeracy and Excel skills. 
• Understanding of the regulatory environment for fundraising, including data protection, codes of fundraising practice and Gift Aid. Not essential but please state if you have experience with Gambling Protection laws and regulations (including LCCP). 
• Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels, and to work independently within a small team. 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.  
• A passion for fighting food waste and food inequality.

Following a successful application to the Henry Smith Foundation we are seeking a passionate, committed and flexible Support Worker (35 hours per week) to join our team to support young people and families, primarily focusing on LGBTQ+ young people but working with the wider team to ensure all young people and families are supported.

The main aims of the post are to ensure:

• The charity delivers quality information, advice, guidance and advocacy services which improve outcomes for LGBTQ+ young people in Calderdale & Kirklees.
• LGBTQ+ young people who face additional access barriers are reached and given the opportunity to engage with the service, reducing their isolation and loneliness.
• LGBTQ+ young people have emotionally healthy relationships with their family, friends and intimate partners.

The above would be achieved through group work, youth groups, parent and family groups, 121 work, attending professional meetings such as Team Around The Family and Child In Need meetings, mediating between families and schools, networking, stand events such as Pride’s and Freshers events, offsite activities and family support sessions.

This is a service user and public facing role. The successful candidate will be expected to attend sessions, meetings and events across in Calderdale & Kirklees

The right candidate will have:

• JNC Level 3 Youth and Community Work qualification or a willingness to undertake training. We welcome applicants with equivalent qualifications and experience in relevant sectors inclusive of child care, teaching, social work, nursing etc (or due to complete 2026 - 2027).

• A minimum 12-months experience of working with children, young people aged 25 and under and/or families
• An ability to assess needs and involve young people in identifying appropriate self-action plans
• Knowledge and understanding of the impact of Homophobia, Biphobia and transphobia on LGBTQ+ young people

The primary aim of this role is to help Money and Mental Health secure the income it needs to deliver its mission and further strengthen the charity’s financial footing for the future. This is a crucial role in our new Fundraising team, and the successful candidate will work across all elements of our income generation activities - from grant-writing to donor stewardship and pipeline development.

The role will have a particular focus on securing funding from Trusts and Foundations, but there will also be ample opportunities to engage corporate partners and other prospective funders. 

The successful candidates will have the chance to bring their ideas in terms of identifying new routes to funding for the organisation and shaping our income generation activities.

Key responsibilities:

Funding bids and proposals

• Draft and develop effective and impactful fundraising bids and proposals to secure both grant income and corporate sponsorship

• Project manage the process of developing funding proposals - including completing funding checklists, coordinating the team on relevant deadlines and booking in time for sign off from relevant colleagues.

Relationship management

• Play a key role in donor stewardship alongside Head of Fundraising and Senior Leadership Team (SLT), including grant makers, corporates and individual donors

• Support SLT in identifying - and building relationships with - relevant individuals within prospective funder organisations - including coordinating meetings.

• Ensure we stay on top of our grant requirements, including drafting grant reports and coordinating other team members to fulfil those requirements

• Work with External Affairs team to create excellent supporter journeys for online donors.

Pipeline development

• Work with Head of Fundraising to undertake research into new fundraising prospects and to develop a strong funder pipeline

• Stay on top of new developments in the charity sector and wider funding landscape

• Make recommendations to Head of Fundraising on new funders we should engage with or seek to build relationships with

• Maintain accurate pipeline data and prospect records, ensuring regular updates

Planning, strategy and vision

• Contribute to the delivery of our income generation strategy - including meeting relevant targets set out in the strategy. 

• Support the team with advance planning on funding bids, project managing complex cross-team processes, matrix-managing small project teams and ensuring all key milestones are met 

• Proactively suggest ideas for ways of improving our processes and ways of working to better support our income generation targets or better deliver our work.

About you:

Essential qualities 

• A proven track record of securing five-figure grants or income from trusts, foundations and/or corporate partners.

• A demonstrable track record of writing impactful and effective funding proposals, and leading the end-to-end process of applying for grants and reporting on those received 

• Strong copywriting skills, and the ability to articulate the impact from donations

• Excellent project management skills 

• Solid relationship management skills, with the ability to lead donor stewardship and develop excellent working relationships with key teams internally

• A genuine commitment to the organisation’s mission, as well as to the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a busy to-do list

• Ability and desire to be hands-on and get stuck in

• Excellent attention to detail, record-keeping and commitment to high standards.

The Opportunity

The Lotus Project:

The Lotus Project is a new service within Calan DVS which has been co-produced with survivors and stakeholders.  The new service has been implemented to support individuals who are accessing Calan Domestic Abuse services and who have also experienced Sexual Violence.

The service will operate from a trauma informed, strengths based perspective in order to ensure each survivor has consistent yet individualised support throughout their recovery journey.

Each survivor who accesses the service will have the opportunity to receive specialist support through our Sexual Violence Counselling service, tailor made group work program and one to one support.  Survivors will have regular strength based goal setting sessions with their Sexual Violence Support Worker.

Consultations and collaborative working are at the heart of working in a trauma informed way, therefore the Lotus Project will continue to be developed alongside the support staff and survivors who access the service.

As Legal Counsel, you will provide high-quality, pragmatic legal advice across a broad range of charity, commercial, contract and regulatory matters.

• Support compliance with legal obligations including data protection, safeguarding, anti-fraud, anti-bribery, sanctions, and charity law.
• Support external counsel management and liaise with SCUK and SCI legal teams.
• Deliver training and guidance to staff and volunteers to embed legal awareness and self-service across the organisation.

About you

To be successful, it is important that you demonstrate the following:

• Qualified lawyer in England and Wales (or equivalent jurisdiction) with post-qualification experience advising independently on a broad range of commercial, contract and/or charity law matters.
• Experience in at least 1 of the following areas: general corporate / commercial / contract, regulatory compliance, charity / not-for-profit.
• An understanding of:
  • the UK charity regulatory framework; and
  • the UK's bribery and anti-terrorism laws and practice, including the way in which they may impact an international NGO.

Main Purpose of Role:
 
This 12-month fixed-term role will lead on a comprehensive programme of work linked to the first objective - building the foundations - of our crucial Income Generation, Marketing and Communication (IGMC) Development Programme. In this role, you will focus on:

· Member Engagement (25%)

o Facilitate member engagement, including onboarding, communication, meeting facilitation, and follow-up.

o Creating and using systems to measure and report on key member engagement metrics

Essential:

• Demonstrated experience of working in a similar context to that of our members in the majority world in Latin America, Africa or Asia.

• 3-5 years’ experience of working in global health or development in a programme delivery role
• Strong project management skills with proven experience coordinating activities across a team, keeping team members accountable to timeline and deliverables

• Proven communication skills in different formats and effectively able to communicate with people from a wide variety of background, contexts and cultures

The Global Tea Coalition (GTC) is an industry forum that brings together CEOs and senior leaders from tea-buying/ producing companies to collaborate on the most pressing social and environmental challenges facing the global tea sector. The project will lead a sector-wide initiative addressing one of the industry’s most persistent challenges: the complexity, duplication, and inconsistency of social and environmental standards and data collection. To deliver this project, we are recruiting for a Senior Project Lead. You will have the opportunity to influence industry-wide change through an ambitious project to harmonise standards and data in the global tea supply chain.

You will deliver the project which will involve leading a technical working group of representatives from tea companies to co-design the project output and developing a harmonised approach that reduces producer burden and strengthens buyers’ access to standardised, comparable data for HREDD.

About You
