Community Voice isn’t a strand of work for us; it’s what all our work is built from.
We’re recruiting a Community Voice Officer to strengthen that work.
At Together Active, we work across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent to make it easier for people to be active in ways that work for their lives. But we’re also trying to change how systems behave; how decisions get made, who shapes them, and what counts as evidence.
This role is about embedding lived experience into the way we think, decide and act, as something that influences direction from the start, not as consultation at the end of a process.
You’ll spend time listening directly to communities, to partners, to the spaces where people feel overlooked or misunderstood. You’ll notice where assumptions don’t match reality. You’ll test ideas. You’ll bring insight back into the organisation and into partnerships, and you’ll be prepared to stand by it.
We exist to design out inactivity across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent.
The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.

This could include collating guest lists, staff registration, coordinating invitations and RSVP’s, managing room bookings, hotels and catering, coordinating staff and trustees, and completing risk assessments.
You will produce clear, accurate and engaging written communications, and coordinate the creation of content. This could mean drafting content for the website, drafting emails, building emails in Engaging Networks, or supporting our Digital Fundraising Lead with developing evergreen content to support our digital fundraising initiatives.
You will support our Digital Fundraising Lead to make sure our growing pool of monthly donors are thanked and stewarded appropriately, including utilising Beacon, automations and supporter journeys to make the most efficient use of our time.

AAFDA was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.
Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. Most of these families suffer significant problems including relationship breakdown, job difficulties/loss and mental and physical health issues. We help these families in many ways, our prime function being to provide families in England, Wales and Northern Ireland with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.
AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) is a growing Charity and to meet the demands we are looking for a specialist Advocate for Scotland. Although home based, some travel will be required - frequency will be commensurate to the role. We welcome applications from candidates with experience of domestic abuse. We are also committed to diversity and strongly encourage applications from those with Black and/or Minoritised backgrounds.
Scotland is expected to introduce Domestic Homicide and Suicide Reviews commencing in April 2026. We are looking for a candidate with a good understanding of the Scottish legislative system and good understanding around domestic abuse to join our growing charity
Our Specialist Advocates support families impacted by fatal domestic abuse through provision of lay advocacy, for and on behalf of, families with a range of statutory service providers (e.g. those conducting reviews and inquiries, social services, police, housing) and work to build good relations between all parties. To ensure that families get the support they need, you will use AAFDA’s Home Office endorsed seven-step approach to working with individuals and families, to ensure that they receive the best possible support and advocacy to restore dignity and relief for families and to help them cope and recover. Through trauma-informed approaches, you will:
· Listen to families and advocate for them in a complex system that too often treats them as passive participants and overlooks the value of their insight.
· Provide information, support, guidance, advice and advocacy on Domestic Homicide & Suicide Reviews (DHSR’s) and other reviews where relevant and appropriate.
· Manage families’ expectations of the legal and procedural processes facing them by supporting families in meetings with agencies such as health, police and local authorities.
· Give families practical help on a wide range of issues - including help with letter writing or advocating with employers and local authorities on the families’ behalf.
· Support AAFDA in our bringing families together in AAFDA’s peer support events, such as the Hear Our Voice weekend and the on-line peer support Zoom sessions, where families can speak with others to share their experiences and stories. This will involve occasional evening work.
In return for joining us, we will offer you:
· 25 days annual leave per annum, plus bank holidays
· Excellent development and training opportunities
· Pension Scheme
· Healthcare Scheme
· Employee Assist Scheme

Why do we need Centre Coordinators?
Last year, we helped more than 40,000 Young People, with three in four young people on our programmes moving into a positive outcome in work, education or training. The young people we help face a range of challenges, such as unemployment, mental health issues or some who have been in trouble with the law. We believe all young people should have the chance to succeed, and that young people are the key to a positive and prosperous future for all of us. We want to continue having a positive impact on young people’s lives and we couldn’t do this without the important work of Centre Coordinators!
Perks for working at The Trust!

HR Lead
Are you driven by the belief that every woman deserves the chance to shape her future, no matter her past?
We are an award‑winning national charity, the UK’s only employment charity dedicated solely to supporting women with convictions.
Driven by our vision of a society where no woman is held back by her past, we work to ensure every woman has the support, encouragement and opportunities she needs to reset her life and thrive.
We challenge misconceptions about women with convictions and raise awareness of the issues that often sit behind women’s offending. At the heart of our work is a simple belief: a conviction should never define a woman’s future.
About the role
We’re looking for a new HR Lead to build on our existing policies and processes and take our inclusive, and high-performing culture to the next stage. As HR Lead, you will be integrated across the organisation, working at both strategic and operational levels to develop our people practices. You will have experience across the HR spectrum but will be especially skilled at coaching managers, undertaking employee relations casework, recruitment, developing organisational culture, and implementing equity, diversity and inclusion within HR practices. Your ability to build trusting relationships with a wide range of people will set you apart, as will your passion for the work we do.
What we offer
You’ll be joining a supportive, values‑driven team who care deeply about the women we work with. Alongside a competitive salary, we offer flexible working, a generous holiday allowance, wellbeing days and time off for your birthday.
Flexibility
Our London-based staff operate on a hybrid model, working from our office at London South Bank University (one minute from Elephant and Castle tube station) on Mondays and Tuesdays, with the remainder of the week worked from home. Full-time staff are expected to attend the office on both days, while part-time staff are required to attend on one of these days only. We also have staff based outside London who work fully remotely.
The HR Lead role is a two-day-per-week position. We would like the postholder to work from the London office on either Monday or Tuesday (or both days if preferred), with flexibility over when the remaining hours are worked, provided there is a consistent working pattern each week.

Working Chance is committed to providing a safe environment for all those who work at and with Working Chance. The safe recruitment of everyone who undertakes work for us is the first step in fulfilling this commitment.

While we recognise the growing role of AI tools, we believe that your genuine insights and experiences are key to understanding who you are and the value you can bring to our organisation. Therefore, we strongly encourage applicants to provide personal answers that reflect their own thoughts and reflections. Your individuality matters most to us, and AI-generated answers may limit your opportunity to stand out.
