About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail‑driven Careers and Workforce Coordinator to join our Faculties Team, supporting both the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FICM) and the Faculty of Pain Medicine (FPM).
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to workforce planning, recruitment, quality management and practitioner development, areas that directly influence clinical practice and patient care across the UK.
In this role, you will act as the administrative lead for all matters relating to workforce, recruitment, careers and practitioner support. You will also play a key part in coordinating quality workstreams across both Faculties.
Your work will range from data analysis and resource development to stakeholder engagement and committee support, offering variety, responsibility and the chance to work within a collaborative and supportive team.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Leading workforce‑related projects and responding to queries across both Faculties
- Managing workforce censuses and surveys, including data preparation, analysis support and reporting
- Supporting regional workforce engagement events and producing follow‑up reports
- Coordinating recruitment workstreams, including drafting person specifications, managing website content and organising Interviewers’ Training Days
- Ensuring workforce developments are clearly and accurately communicated
- Leading on matters relating to Advanced Critical Care Practitioners (ACCPs), including curriculum support and Higher Education Institution (HEI) accreditation
- Serving as secretary to committees and working groups, including preparing agendas, drafting papers, providing advice, taking minutes and tracking actions
About You
You will be an organised and detail‑focused administrator with experience managing varied workloads under pressure. You will have strong experience in committee administration, including accurate minute taking, and will be confident producing high‑quality written and database work.
You will also bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong IT proficiency (Word, Outlook and Excel), and the ability to interpret and simplify complex information. Experience within a membership organisation or medical education environment is desirable.

You will also need to be available for some out of hours events in the evenings.

Role purpose
Variety, the Children’s Charity is looking for a Head of People and Culture to lead and deliver all aspects of the charity’s people strategy. Part of the Operations Team, this is an exciting role combining strategic leadership with hands-on operational HR management. The postholder will be experienced in driving forward new strategies, ensuring Variety has robust, compliant and people centered practices in place. The Relationship Giving Manager plays a leading and hands on role in designing and implementing the supporter acquisition, retention and development plans. Focusing on growing reach, engagement and ultimately income across Individual Giving, Legacy and In Memory activity.
The postholder will manage, coordinate and deliver a variety of donor acquisition, conversion and retention campaigns and communications that make up the donor acquisition and supporter development programmes to deadline and within budget across various mediums including print, digital, face-to-face and direct marketing etc.

Responsibilities
1. Support the Private Sector Partnerships Specialist Adviser (50%) and the UK Director (50%) to deliver on key tasks required in order to meet NRC UK’s private fundraising and broader objectives.
2. Provide administrative support to the Specialist Adviser on tasks necessary to meet fundraising targets, including communications and relationship management, prospect research, due diligence, meeting and event organisation.
3. Provide administrative support to the UK Director including communications, organising and attending both external and internal meetings and events, taking notes and minutes, research and analysis, document preparation and coordinating input into internal reports including the annual report.
4. Provide additional ad-hoc administrative support to the NRC UK team as required.
5. The Officer will be required to execute existing workplans and meet objectives and deadlines with oversight and support from Adviser and Director.
Qualifications
- 3 years of progressive professional experience (preferably within the UK Third Sector) in business development, advocacy, fundraising and/or general administrative duties
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Politics, Law, Communications, International Relations or a relevant field. Equivalent experience will be accepted instead of qualifications.

A key component of this role will be developing relationships with colleagues across the University to include alumni engagement and volunteering across the University’s international strategic themes. As Helpline Care Navigator (HCN), you will act as the first point of contact for individuals, families and health professionals across the North and North East region.
You will deliver compassionate, person-centred support and clear, practical information via telephone and email, ensuring people affected by PSP & CBD feel heard, informed and supported at every stage of their journey. Alongside direct support, you will actively engage with health and social care professionals, neurology clinics and wider partners to strengthen local awareness of PSP & CBD and enhance referral pathways across the region.

Hours of Work & Annual Leave

Key Responsibilities
- To be ‘first point of call’ for people with PSP & CBD and their families living in North and Northeast region including, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire, Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Tyne & Wear & Northumberland. Providing people with support and information over the phone and via email.
- To raise awareness of PSP & CBD across all health and social care disciplines in the region by engaging with HSCP’s and neurology clinics.
- To provide accurate information in all aspects of PSP & CBD in response to enquiries and signpost onto other organisations where appropriate.
- Ensure a maximum response to all helpline calls, emails and enquires.
- To keep clear and accurate records and statistics of enquires received and actions taken.
