Kineara is looking for someone who can grow our fundraising potential and engage key stakeholders across the sector, while delivering engaging communications and outreach campaigns that demonstrate our social value and grow our support base. They will play a key role in helping Kineara develop our newly formed charitable arm, alongside our community interest company, to generate income through engaging fundraising campaigns, impact-driven communications and strategic relationship-building with existing and potential funders.
You will work closely with project managers and SLT (Senior Leadership Team) to identify how support services can reduce barriers to secure housing, work and school; prevent evictions and homelessness; and improve health and wellbeing of people facing challenges. You’ll use this understanding to motivate new stakeholders to invest in our work - whether charitable trusts, corporate foundations or individuals.
You will feel real ownership over your work and need to be self-starting, flexible and hungry to grow with an already impactful charity with a strong social mission and vision. You will be keen to understand how our work makes a difference to people and use our impact to demonstrate our social value.This role crosscuts a range of key charitable specialisms, so you may have experience working in communications and be keen to widen your skillset; you may have a background in impact evaluation; or you may have worked in fundraising or development for a non-profit. We are keen to invite candidates with a range of experience from a variety of non-profit roles and are especially interested to meet candidates who have been part of – or are ready to be part of - the strategic growth of a charitable organisation.

Communications

Develop, contribute to and implement impact-driven and strategic communications campaigns that build Kineara’s fundraising capacity and raise awareness of the issues

Develop brand identity for Kineara’s new charitable arm, ensuring it is consistent across all activities in the organisation, while maintaining Kineara’s overall ‘look and feel’ to ensure coherence in branding, colours, messaging, style and approach.

Manage the creation, development, distribution of compelling, impact-driven story-telling about Kineara’s work and beneficiaries using interviews, blogs, case studies, etc.

Fundraising

Shieldfield Art Works (SAW) is a project of the Methodist Church in Newcastle upon Tyne which is seeking the wellbeing of the city through creative practice. We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic individual to build up Shieldfield Art Work’s fundraising programme and contribute to our strategy. This is a vital part of our work as we seek to become more sustainable and resilient in an ever challenging climate.
Our ideal candidate will have good experience in developing and implementing a robust fundraising strategy in order to take the strategic fundraising work of our community arts hub into a new chapter. You will also be able to articulate your active Christian faith, be able to explain SAW's Christian ministry and show ability to be able to write for both Christian and secular funders with different priorties.
You will need to be self-motivated and confident in your expertise. The role is suitable for candidates who are experienced in larger and multi-year applications to trusts and foundations (ideally in the cultural sector), developing individual giving campaigns and CSR channels, cultivating donor relationships and a good storyteller, to tell the story of and champion SAW. You must be motivated particularly by the social impact and outreach work that we deliver.

We are a team of artists who support others to be creative, and use our creativity to support others. We believe that the arts help us to articulate what it is to be human and that arts participation enables joy and flourishing in unique and unexpected ways. Purpose
The Philanthropy Leads, reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, are responsible for inspiring new prospective, cultivating and stewarding high-value donors into greater involvement with Christians Against Poverty. They aim to draw supporters closer to the work we do, deepening their relationship and support of CAP. Income from CAP’s major donors is vital for the future expansion of CAP in the UK.

About the role
We’re seeking a Direct Marketing and Acquisition Officer to join our high-performing fundraising team.
2025 was our best year yet for income and this role is pivotal in helping us to take the next step in growing our supporter base and future income.
This new role will be responsible for planning and delivering multi-channel campaigns to recruit regular donors, using data-led insights, audience segmentation, and performance tracking to optimise activity across digital, direct mail, telemarketing, and face-to-face channels.
The role will also focus on growing our lottery programme, converting new players into regular supporters, and developing retention strategies that maximise long-term commitment and lifetime value.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver effective multi-channel acquisition campaigns across digital and offline channels.
- Lead and grow our lottery programme, managing promotional campaigns, partner relationships, and retention strategies.
- Develop and implement supporter retention strategies to engage both new and existing supporters.
- Work with the Digital Engagement and Communications team to create engaging content and calls to action.

About you
We’re looking for an ambitious and energetic fundraiser who is:
- Experienced in supporter acquisition, marketing, or fundraising, with proven success in direct marketing campaigns.
- Skilled in direct marketing, campaign planning, and copywriting.
- Confident in interpreting data and translating insights into action.
- Familiar with CRM systems and digital tools (e.g. email platforms, social media ads).
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to work to tight deadlines.

The role
The Research Officer will help provide a high-quality in-house prospect research service to the senior leadership team and the Warden (CEO) of the Trust. The Research Officer will report to the Research Manager, work closely with the major gift team located in the UK, Canada, Australia and the United States, and gain first-hand knowledge and experience working as an in-house prospect research professional for a highly regarded educational charity.
The role will be responsible for;
· Providing a high-quality in-house prospect research service to the Development Team and senior leaders including the Warden (CEO) of the Trust, and Trustees, as required
· Contributing to the proactive identification of potential major donors and partners to the Rhodes Trust including alumni, individuals, foundations and corporates
· Delivering a pipeline of briefing materials for the Warden (CEO) and senior leadership team to support key fundraising and stakeholder meetings, events and overseas travel itineraries as requested
· Assisting with compiling and managing a portfolio of additional research materials and projects, including profiles, network mapping, philanthropy reports, and targeted analysis, as well as country-specific content to support the Trust’s fundraising efforts in different geographies

You will hold an integral role at the DEC for accurately and efficiently managing DEC’s accounting function, ensuring compliance with charity and donor regulations. You will oversee budgeting, grant management, and donor reporting with transparency and accuracy. You will provide financial insights to support cross organisational projects and program delivery and hold a key role in developing and implementing financial strategies that align with our vision and strategic planning.
About You
You will be a confident communicator, who can engage with diverse internal & external stakeholders, including funders and partners, creating a collaborative approach to meet varying commitments. You must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with senior finance leadership experience in the non-profit or NGO sector and demonstrate strong understanding of charity accounting standards and donor compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Processes
- Ensure accurate income/expenditure recording, bank reconciliations, and daily donation processing.
- Manage monthly accounting routines, prepare management accounts, and lead budget/forecast reviews.
- Coordinate annual and strategic budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Oversee income reconciliation across multiple streams and liaise with fundraising teams.
- Review and process drawdown payments to member agencies.
- Maintain and update accounting systems and support procurement processes.
Financial Controls
- Lead annual accounts preparation and audits; ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage pension schedules and benefits compliance.
- Ensure tax compliance (VAT, Corporation Tax, Employment Taxes).
- Audit gift aid claims and maintain robust financial control environment.
- Update financial policies, procedures, and systems, support due diligence standards.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Oversee appeal finances, income tracking, and fund allocation.
- Coordinate governance processes (e.g., Indicator of Capacity) with member agencies.
- Monitor legacy income and liaise with fundraising/legal teams.
- Deliver annual report and accounts; produce reports for executive team and committees.
Leadership & Team Management
- Deputise for the Director of Finance and Resources.
- Prepare papers for finance committees and membership groups.
- Oversee finance team members and provide leadership support.
If you have used Sun Accounts (Infor SunSystems Cloud) or similar, have worked within a UK charity context and dealt with restricted funds, have prepared budgets, annual accounts and monitored cash flow and treasury management, then we would love to hear from you.

The DEC is made up of 15 member charities who are experts in humanitarian aid and specialise in different areas of disaster response. They come together to speak in one voice and make fundraising more efficient when we launch an appeal.
