We are looking for a motivated individual to join us as Team and Office Administrator, effectively supporting the small but busy RSTMH Team by providing proactive and comprehensive support across our key areas of work.

The role will require someone who preferably has some experience of providing support and administration to a busy team and office, preferably within the charity/not-for-profit sector, who is flexible, has excellent time management and prioritisation skills, and is able work on their own initiative. The successful candidate will be working across various RSTMH activities, including membership, journals, events, grants, and communications; therefore, they will need to be efficient and organised, with strong computer skills and a professional outlook.

The Role:

As Administrative Assistant RSTMH, your duties will include:

• Developing and maintaining effective working relationships across RSTMH
• Ensuring that all general, email, telephone and written enquiries are dealt with efficiently and promptly
• Supporting with the management of the RSTMH office and office processes, ensuring the space is kept clean and presentable, monitoring stock levels and assisting the team with office maintenance tasks
• Undertaking electronic and paper filing, and maintain filing systems appropriately
• Assisting with the management and promotion of the RSTMH meeting room
• Supporting with general administration across all RSTMH areas of work
• Supporting on the website by uploading and editing content through the CMS
• Helping create and send the fortnightly member newsletter and the monthly non-member newsletter
• Responsibility for the general administration and upkeep of RSTMH’s online opportunities platform, grow
• Assisting with enquiries from current and prospective members in a professional, timely manner, and to agreed service targets.
• Working proficiently across RSTMH platforms, including Editorial Manager, CiviCRM and Benefactor
• Assisting in international travel planning, including identifying travel options, creating visa support letters and sourcing accommodation for the team and/or RSTMH contacts
• Carrying out desk research as and when required
• Ensuring that all assigned tasks are completed to a high standard
• Participating in team meetings, planning and initiatives
• Assisting in any administrative tasks to support the team and wider RSTMH community
• To undertake any other reasonable tasks as could be expected of a Administrative Assistant

Essential Technical Skills:

• Ability to manage a diverse set of priorities and meet deadlines to a consistently high standard
• Capacity to set up and maintain administrative processes and office systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a strong understanding of delivering great customer service
• Experience of being responsible for initiating, planning, and developing own areas of work
• High computer literacy and confidence with Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel, and the ability to adapt to new platforms
• Exceptional use of written and spoken English
• Experience providing administration support, preferably in an office environment
• Good analytical skills with the ability to identify key points from complex material or information

As a Navigator, you will support veterans furthest from employment to engage in meaningful activity and take gradual steps towards work. This non-clinical role focuses on helping veterans with mental or physical health challenges overcome barriers affecting their lives, improve wellbeing and reduce social isolation.

Clients of the service may present with issues around housing, accessing relevant health care services, substance misuse, education and training, financial concerns, and benefits, amongst others. Using coaching, mentoring and strengths-based approaches, you will help individuals identify their goals, build resilience and move confidently towards lasting employment outcomes.

Collaboration is at the heart of this role. You will develop strong partnerships with regional organisations to generate referrals and address wider barriers such as mental health, housing or addiction, and share best practice with your colleagues in the team.

With a strong understanding of local labour markets and safeguarding practices, you’ll maintain high-quality case records, contribute to continuous improvement, and actively participate in team development. Sounds great, what will I be doing?

This role provides specialist interventions to women living in refuge with multiple needs who have experienced domestic abuse and/or sexual violence. Holding a caseload across a number of refuges providing emotional and practical support and advocacy to the women accessing the refuge.

You will build strong partnerships with a range of statutory and community organisations, including mental health services, substance misuse teams, housing providers, healthcare professionals and voluntary agencies, to ensure women can access the support they need to recover and thrive. You will lead wellbeing-focused activities across refuge services, facilitate group programmes and community meetings, and support women to engage with services, appointments and opportunities that promote confidence, independence and social inclusion.

Using Hestia's trauma-informed and psychologically informed approach, you will provide personalised assessments, safety planning and strengths-based support for women with complex needs. You will deliver crisis interventions, support women to access therapeutic, financial and housing-related support, and help them develop move-on goals that enable long-term recovery and independence. You will maintain accurate case records, uphold confidentiality and GDPR requirements, and work closely with refuge teams to share knowledge and build confidence in supporting women with multiple support needs.

About the Role

The resettlement team in South Yorkshire provides advice and support for resettled refugees to help them access services and mainstream provision and establish community links. Working closely with local stakeholders and in partnership with other voluntary sector agencies running similar services across the UK, the Refugee Council resettlement team promotes both the integration and independence of this group.

Alongside the resettlement team, the psychological therapy service team offers therapy to refugees presenting with mental health difficulties across both historical and future resettlement programmes. The service currently offers holistic psychological assessments and therapy to respond to clients referred to the service from Refugee Council and other local services working with resettled refugees. 

The Children and Families Wellbeing Project was established in 2019 to respond to the needs of refugee children/young people and their families who are experiencing mental health difficulties within a systemic approach. This specialist service is managed by the Refugee Council and led by the Strategic Migration partnership and is provided across Yorkshire and Humberside through a partnership of the Refugee Council and Solace.

As a Family therapist/Practitioner, the post holder will be working autonomously within the context of a multi-disciplinary team approach to deliver psychosocial therapeutic work with refugee children/young people and their families in South Yorkshire.

The Role

We are looking for a Class 2 HGV Driver to make daily collections from our food partners in the Midlands region and deliver to warehouses across the West and East Midlands. This role is most suited to individuals with an aptitude for driving, who have excellent customer service skills combined with a professional attitude, as you will be dealing directly with our customers as a representative of FareShare Midlands.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work with the Supply Chain Team to collect surplus food from partners and deliver to the right regional centre.

• Provide excellent customer service to food partners in person and by phone, offering a highly professional impression of the charity in a friendly manner.
• Adhere to all laws, Road Transport Regulations and HGV Working Time directives.
• Support the Supply Chain Team by collecting stock offered from the food industry and delivering it to Regional Centres in a timely fashion, communicating ETAs and delays.
• Maintain records of collections and allocations e.g. provide paperwork and temperature readings to the Regional Centres on delivery.
• Identify any barriers or opportunities and feedback any developments or challenges e.g. delays, maintenance concerns, instruction errors, etc.
• Ensure deliveries follow the assigned order, the routes are planned appropriately in the given timescale and all delivery windows are met safely.
• Highlight and respond quickly to any anticipated delays or difficulties, using problem solving skills to mitigate any unforeseen circumstances e.g. taking breaks while queueing or changing the order of collections subject to permission from the Supply Chain Team.
• Ensure the quality of the product delivered is accurate against notes, making detailed visual inspections and flagging any concerns or discrepancies before the vehicle is loaded.

About the role

Key areas of work:

Fundraising Strategy and Planning

The Senior Safeguarding Officer plays a vital role in strengthening safeguarding practice across Place2Be, a leading children’s mental health charity. Our Family Support Workers are given the opportunity to complete a number of diverse training courses in their first 12 months, including but not limited to: Mental Health First Aid, Makaton, counselling skills, and Introduction to Play.

Job Title: Refuge Worker

Location: This is an onsite role, located within the London Borough of Hounslow, there may be a requirement to occasionally work in the London Borough of Hillingdon.
Salary: £29,701.36 per annum (Inclusive of London Weighting, which may not be applicable depending on your home location)
