Role Profile

This newly created and strategically important role will lead the design, implementation and delivery of a new Gambling Harms Prevention programme across North Lincolnshire.

This is a prevention-focused role, responsible for coordinating and delivering a local approach to addressing gambling harms in partnership with the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector, statutory organisations and local communities.

The Gambling Harms Prevention Lead will drive the education, awareness, partnership development and lived experience elements of the programme, helping to ensure gambling harms are identified earlier, understood more widely, and addressed through coordinated preventative action.

The postholder will lead on building capability across the VCFSE sector and frontline workforce, strengthening referral pathways, reducing stigma, and embedding consistent approaches to the early identification and prevention of gambling-related harms. They will also ensure that lived experience is central to delivery, shaping how services are designed, communicated and continuously improved.

This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery and requires strong partnership working, programme management and influencing skills, alongside practical experience in areas such as training, facilitation, communications and evaluation.

The Gambling Harms Prevention Lead will play an important role in supporting wider public health priorities, including reducing inequalities, strengthening community-based support, and helping to shift services towards earlier intervention and prevention.

The overall purpose of the role is to lead and coordinate meaningful participation and engagement opportunities for children, young people and adults to shape services, influence decision-making and ensure the voices of lived experience are central to organisational development. Main Responsibilities

 Knowledge, training and experience

• Proven experience in youth participation, community engagement, co-production, or related areas, ideally within charity, education or health and social care sector.

• Demonstrate a good understanding of grief, loss, trauma, child development, and the psychological and social impact of bereavement on children, young people, families and adults.
• Experience in facilitating groups, workshops, and creative engagement activities both in-person and online.
• Ability to translate engagement insight into practical feedback and recommendations
• Adhere to legislation and statutory guidance related to Safeguarding Children and Young People, Safeguarding Adults, and the Mental Capacity Act.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience of working with children and young people or adults in health, social care, youth, community or education setting

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and committed Deputy Children and Young People (CYP) Lead to support the development and delivery of our therapeutic services at a pivotal time of growth and transformation.
 

Reporting to the CYP Clinical Lead, the successful candidate will play a key role in providing day-to-day leadership and guidance to CYP counsellors and therapists. You will help ensure that services for children and young people are consistently safe, effective, trauma-informed, and survivor-centred.
 

This is a varied and impactful role that combines clinical leadership, safeguarding oversight, service development, and line management. It offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to shaping, strengthening, and expanding high-quality CYP services.
 

What You’ll Do

The Role

You’ll work closely with foster carers and social work colleagues to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed support and improve outcomes for children and young people.

Job purpose

To develop and grow the NCJAA network and develop and maintain effective working relationships with partners and stakeholders.

Job summary

The coordinator is responsible for overseeing all work and development of the NCJAA and sits within Clinks’ National Influencing & Networks directorate . The coordinator will work with a range of different stakeholders, including the NCJAA Advisory Group and the wider membership, to improve policy and practice in relation to arts-based work with people in prison, on probation and in the community. This includes maintaining and strengthening the NCJAA as the leading national network for arts organisations and individuals that work in the criminal justice system.

Reports to: Clinks Director of National Influencing & Networks

1. Duties and key responsibilities

Strategy and planning

· Work closely with Clinks colleagues and the NCJAA network to develop and deliver the NCJAA annual work plan which include a range of activities that will raise the profile and promote the work of the arts sector in the CJS, including events, publications, training, mentoring, research and networking opportunities

· Work closely with Clinks colleagues, the NCJAA advisory group, chair and wider network to help inform and shape the future direction of the NCJAA and its strategic goals, paying particular attention to its role, sustainability and emerging opportunities

· Coordinate the quarterly arts forum in collaboration with the Reducing Reoffending Third Sector Advisory Group (RR3) arts seat holder and government representatives

NCJAA project management & delivery

· Provide leadership for the NCJAA in the arts and CJS sectors

· Deliver the projects set out in the NCJAA’s annual workplan

· Coordinate the functioning of the advisory group of the NCJAA, including its quarterly meetings, minutes and election

· Manage work as required by NCJAA’s role as an Arts Council England Sector Support Organisation, including how we effectively capture and measure the NCJAA’s impact as the leading national arts and criminal justice network

· Provide regular and relevant reporting information as necessary to ensure all NCJAA projects and activity are working to the agreed timetable, budget and are achieving agreed outputs and outcomes, reporting any exceptions promptly to the Director of Support and Development

· Work collaboratively with various Clinks’ staff teams to deliver the NCJAA work plan and support the delivery of Clinks’ wider work plan

This role leads a new flagship grants and strategic activity programme - a national outdoor play partnership supporting community foundations to deliver risky, adventurous and child-directed play opportunities for children aged 0–12 in up to 20 places across the UK. You will work in the UK Community Foundations team, the national backbone, co-ordinating and convening the wider partnership. The minimum £10m programme (likely larger) runs from June 2026 through November 2031, is delivered with seed funding from an anonymous lead funder. 

You will be accountable for the day-to-day running of the programme. That means managing the relationship with the lead funder, overseeing delivery across the four-outcomes learning framework, coordinating the national learning and influence backbone, building and maintaining sector relationships, and ensuring the programme is delivered on time, on budget and to consistently high standards. 

Alongside the programme, you will also support wider partnerships activity and act as a point of expertise on children and young people. You will advise the Partnerships team on CYP matters, provide a credible internal source of guidance on safeguarding, and keep UKCF abreast of policy and sector developments so we are well positioned to support community foundations to design and deliver further CYP-focused partnerships. 

You do not need to have worked in community foundations before. We are interested in people who combine substantial programme leadership experience - ideally within funding or grant making, though other types of programme delivery are likely to be relevant - with credible CYP sector knowledge, and the confidence to balance delivery, stakeholder relationships, sector influence and partnership support across a complex multi-year portfolio. 

The Partnerships & Insight team designs and delivers UKCF's national partnerships, brings new funding into the community foundation network, and grows our influence on the policy and funding environment community foundations operate in. This role sits at the heart of all of that, and gives you a broad view across the sector, the network and the wider VCSE landscape.

Your portfolio 

You will hold responsibility for two connected areas. 

Programme management (0.65 FTE) 

You will lead the end-to-end delivery of the programme across four outcomes - Reach & Access; Quality & Character of Play; Lasting Local Capacity; National Evidence, Learning & Influence - and the operational layer that sits behind them. You will lead programme planning, budget management, risk management and quality assurance, working closely with the Director of Partnerships & Insight. 

You will manage the relationship with the lead funder, and any subsequent funders that come on board, including reporting, milestone delivery, board updates and stewardship of the partnership over the full grant period. You will also oversee community foundation onboarding, contracting, ongoing relationship management and convening across the cohort of around 20 delivery partners. 

You will coordinate the national backbone of the programme – participating community foundations, learning partner, expert panellists, sector relationships, and the dissemination of evidence and influence outputs - and oversee learning outputsagainst the programme's two-layer tracking architecture. 

You will build and maintain relationships that lead to the change the programme seeks to achieve and supports a potential continuation funding pipeline. You will represent UKCF and the programme externally - with funders, government, sector bodies and international peers, including our peers at community foundations in Canada.

Wider partnerships and CYP responsibilities (0.35 FTE) 

You will support the Director of Partnerships and the wider team on general partnership matters, pitching in at crunch points and offering senior advice and leadership on design and delivery. 

You will act as UKCF's internal point of information on safeguarding for children and young people, supporting the Partnerships team and wider colleagues to apply appropriate standards across CYP-related programmes and proposals. Training will be provided.

You will keep UKCF abreast of CYP sector developments - policy, funding landscape, research and practice - and translate these into practical advice for partnerships and field-building work. You will advise the team on CYP matters during pipeline development, scoping and proposal-writing, making sure new opportunities are well grounded in current sector knowledge. 

You will build and maintain relationships with key CYP sector bodies, funders and expert networks to position UKCF as a credible, well-informed partner in the children and young people space, and you will contribute to UKCF's wider thought leadership and external profile on CYP, including occasional speaking, writing and convening.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Research and opportunity generation

• Support the team by researching and keeping abreast of new funding opportunities across trusts, foundations, and corporate prospects.

Funding applications and pitch support

• Assist the Senior Fundraising Lead and Director of Fundraising with writing funding applications.

Partnership coordination

Are you a payroll professional who loves precision, thrives on responsibility, and enjoys making a real difference behind the scenes? North Hampshire Urgent Care (NHUC) is looking for a motivated and detail‑driven Payroll & Pensions Officer to join our friendly Finance Team in a part‑time role.

Working as part of a supportive job‑share, you’ll help deliver a smooth, accurate monthly payroll for around 275 employees, support GP contractor payments, and ensure compliance with NHS Pension Scheme requirements. Your work will directly support our Same Day Care, TalkPlus and Head Office teams - the people delivering vital care to our communities.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Undertake the following tasks in relation to the monthly payroll process with the support of the Finance Team as required.

• Update employee tax code changes as advised by HMRC.
• Update the Sage 50 payroll system for changes in respect of Same Day Care employees. This includes starters, leavers, changes in pay rates, personal details etc.
• Process extra hours claims and variations as advised by the HR team
• Update salaried staff Same Day Care RotaMaster schedules for any changes, prepare import schedule and import pay data into Sage 50 payroll.
• Review, retrieve and reconcile pay data from RotaMaster (RM) and import Same Day Care pay data into Sage 50 Payroll.
• Check and reconcile payroll data and produce associated reports
• Issue payslips to North Hampshire Urgent Care staff and monthly and annual Earnings Reports to self-employed GPs
• Process Same Day Care leavers and distribute any related documentation
• Submit North Hampshire Urgent Care staff FPS and EPS to HMRC
• Process North Hampshire Urgent Care staff Net Payments to Bank
• Reconcile and pay North Hampshire Urgent Care staff PAYE
• Reconcile Government Gateway account for North Hampshire Urgent Care staff
• Maintain Same Day Care dual role records.
• Process monthly payroll journal into Sage 50 Accounts software. 
• Maintain RM to Sage payroll link
• Process payroll year end in Sage 50 Payroll / Government Gateway
• Keep up to date with payroll legislation
• Be the main point of contact, internal and external, for all payroll queries.
• Update Same Day Care Hourly Payrates in line with the annual North Hampshire Urgent Care Pay Award
• Maintain Same Day Care Hourly payrates on RotaMaster
• Communicate Same Day Care payrates to the HR team
• Process Self Employed GP payments including payments for supervision to contractual deadline

Job Share interchangeable roles

• To be able to provide cover of the  TalkPlus and Head Office during any absence of your job share partner – specifically their payroll responsibilities below in respect of the TalkPlus and Head Office payroll.
• To periodically rotate monthly payroll responsibilities with your job share partner three times per annum to enable each job share partner to understand each partner’s respective role and responsibilities, remain up to date with any developments in each partner’s responsibilities and ultimately to be interchangeable in the event of an absence of one partner.
• Update the Sage 50 payroll system for changes in respect of TalkPlus and Head Office employees. This includes starters, leavers, changes in pay rates, personal details etc.
• Process of TalkPlus and Head Office extra hours claims and variations as advised by the HR team
• Update salaried staff of TalkPlus and Head Office schedules for any changes, prepare import schedule and import pay data into Sage 50 payroll.

Pensions

• Ensure compliance of auto-enrolment and three yearly re-assessment
• Keep up to date with NHS Pensions scheme employer and member compliance
• Re-assess all part-time staff for NHS pension purposes monthly
• Maintain NHS Pension Online (POL) - joiners, leavers and changes
• Manage and resolve NHS Pensions and Employees queries

Salary Banding: £28,893 per annum with potential to progress through salary band.  Plus additional payment for overnight shifts on occasion.  (£85 per night shift required / £50 per on call shift)
