The Communications Officer plays a significant role in the support of the delivery of AmplifyChange’s communications strategy. They are key to ensuring that AmplifyChange’s key messages and brand are effectively implemented across all of our communications channels. The Communications Officer will report to and work closely with the Communications Manager and in partnership with other teams to support content development for multiple platforms (AmplifyChange’s main website and AmplifyChange Learn, in particular), social media management, and linking and learning opportunities.
The Communications Officer will have an appetite to creatively profile and showcase the work of AmplifyChange grantee partners and support knowledge sharing opportunities. While AmplifyChange has an established set of communications channels and methodologies to share our work and the work of our grantee partners, fresh ideas and perspectives are welcomed and encouraged. The Communications Officer will be comfortable working independently and taking initiative but there will be support available from the Communications Manager and other teams where required.
AmplifyChange is a bilingual fund, working in English and French. As this role centres on effective communications across our channels to all our grantees in Africa, South Asia, and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions, a professional level of written French and comfort speaking the language is essential.
This role would be well suited to someone interested in pursuing a career in communications, content development and/or social media management, who has a strong interest in sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender equality, and/or international development.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Publications and campaigns
- With the Communications Manager, develop content calendars for the year in line with costed workplan
- Support in the creative development and execution of cause day campaigns – e.g., 16 Days to end Violence against Women, International Youth Day, etc.
- Work closely with the Communications Manager to develop blogs, impact reports and other external materials
- Support the development of Grantee Stories and case studies, working with grantee partners to identify and write stories of change
- Provide editing, drafting, and reviewing support for content in line with AmplifyChange’s tone of voice and language
- Support development of Annual Report and other donor reports, where needed
Digital and social media
- Manage the daily oversight of social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, BlueSky, LinkedIn)
- Disseminate news and information about AmplifyChange, such as published reports and upcoming funding rounds, through social media channels and Circle (interactive grantee partner platform)
- Create and execute social media campaigns using tools like Canva, including developing and drafting content
Linking and learning
- Provide logistical support to AmplifyChange’s engagement in external events, both online and physical
- Provide support and creative input into the development of learning materials for AmplifyChange Learn, including written, visual and audio
- Work with grantee partners in the development of content for AmplifyChange Learn
- Support the assessment of learning needs for content development, including through analytics tools where useful
- Support dissemination of content through email management platform (Constant Contact)
- Update website data as needed
Support to other teams
- Work with Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist to identify and collect data to support website updates, reporting, and impact report development

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:
- Strong copy-editing, proofing, verbal and written communications skills in English
- Demonstrable experience working with social media platforms and support tools (such as Canva) and creating content for these platforms

REPORTING AND ORGANISATION
This is a UK based, full time (37.5 hours/week) permanent position, reporting to the Communications Manager. AmplifyChange is based in Bath, and we operate on a hybrid working model. Requests for flexible working arrangements will be considered. The Events & Engagement officer is a new role at the charity. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supporting the CEO
- Assist and support the CEO in the fulfilment of his/her responsibilities, including (but not limited to):
- Diary and other contact management, meetings booking and confirmation, including judgement on the level and appropriateness of engagement.
- Assist the CEO to prepare slide decks and other materials for presentations.
- Liaise with the Travel Officer and other departments to ensure all travel arrangements are made for the CEO as required. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to schedule meetings with the CEO and to ensure venues and arrangements are well prepared.
- Meeting, greeting and booking rooms for any external visitors, acting in a friendly and professional manner.
- Circulating the agenda, booking rooms and capturing notes for Executive Team meetings.
- Ensure stakeholder contact details are kept current on ParalympicsGB’s contact database.
Supporting the Board and ParalympicsGB’s governance
- In collaboration with the Chair and the Head of Governance and Compliance:
- Agree timings, locations and logistics for Board meetings, including booking rooms and providing refreshments.
- Ensure agenda and Board papers are uploaded to the Teams channel for Board members to access and assist with issues Board members may have accessing Teams.
- Prepare email responses, letters, briefing papers and other documents as required by the Chair in connection with BPA business.
- Support Board members in arranging meetings in connection with ParalympicsGB business
- Plan for Board members attendance for the Games, being the key point of contact sharing information with both the Board and internal planning teams.
- Support the Head of Governance and Compliance in preparing and managing member meetings, including NPC meetings, Election meetings and Annual General Meetings. Leading on:
- Ensure timings, venues and agendas are communicated to members and papers are made available to members.
- Book rooms for member meetings and arranging refreshments.
- Send out invitations and papers, collate the guest list, confirm numbers, accessibility & dietary requirements
- Ensuring changes in member contact details are kept current on the BPA’s contact management database.
- Support the Head of Governance and Compliance in processes around electing and appointing Board members, including appointment letters and induction information.
Events
Working closely with the Events and Projects Manager and internal event leads, help to coordinate the planning and delivery of the entire portfolio of ParalympicsGB external events. Ensure all events are planned and delivered to a consistent high quality.
- Ensure planning deadlines are met in a timely manner and that internal and external stakeholders have been consulted with as required.
- Provide expertise to event leads to ensure ParalympicsGB events address accessibility in the planning and delivery, and that all events have a consistent look and feel.
- Ensure all Health & Safety risk assessments are done and risks are being managed.
- Coordinate all room/venue bookings and catering arrangements
- Support with venue research and recces and attend venue planning meetings
- Send invites, manage responses and FAQs.
- Coordinate any additional logistics required e.g. gifting, branding, movement of equipment
- If required, provide event support on the day and/or arrange colleague support on the day.
- Work with colleagues to ensure lessons learnt from previous events are embedded into future planning.
Other
- Project Lead for Games Time Ticketing ensuring the successful delivery of this complex Games workstream.

We are looking for a Skills Development and Engagement Coordinator who will be involved in supporting the programme journey of a young person from when they have a confirmed place on our programmes to the point when they start their expedition or adventure with us. The successful candidate will also coordinate the delivery of our Expedition Workshops and manage our Workshop Facilitators.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, whose mission is build confidence, companionship and connection for people with hearing loss, is seeking a High Value Events Team Manager to lead the development and delivery of inclusive, inspiring and impactful high-value event experiences that deepen relationships and generate transformational philanthropic support for the charity.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love and emotional support.
Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now building a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to significantly grow and diversify income.
With a strong focus on values-led, relationship-based fundraising, this role will provide strategic leadership to the charity’s new High Value Events function, bringing a consistent, high-quality approach to engagement, cultivation, fundraising and stewardship events. The post-holder will ensure that events are inclusive, mission-focused and deliver strong return on investment, building long-term commitment among principal and major donors, trusts and foundations, corporate partners and senior volunteers.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a background in planning and delivering high-value fundraising or engagement events generating £100k+. You will have worked with high-value supporters, including high net worth individuals, committees and senior stakeholders, and will have a strong track record of working to income targets and maximising fundraising return on investment. Excellent organisational and communication skills will be combined with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of audiences. You will be creative and proactive, with a collaborative and inclusive approach to work, alongside the ability to communicate impact clearly and compellingly.

We are seeking an enterprising, organised individual to join Akshaya Patra UK as our Supporter Engagement Officer. The role is a joyfully versatile one which requires planning, coordination, and a strong 'make it happen' attitude. As the first point of contact for supporters, community groups, and partners, the candidate will ensure every interaction, whether by phone, email, social media, or in-person, is positive, timely, and professional.
A key part of the role will be to build and grow volunteer chapters across the UK, developing local champions who increase awareness and funds for Akshaya Patra. Even as the candidate will invite new supporters to join our mission, managing supporter relationships with a defined portfolio of donors, monitoring income, and contributing to data analysis related to supporter engagement and projects is a key part of the role. In addition, maintaining the inventory of supporter engagement tools and merchandise, ensuring materials are organised, available, and effectively used to inspire supporters.
Knowledge of British culture and geography is welcome, while familiarity with India, its regions, and Indian languages is an added advantage. You will attend meetings and events in London and other parts of the UK as required, with the flexibility to work remotely at other times. The role will play an important part in shaping our future plans and helping us grow our income and impact in the years ahead.
Key responsibilities

We’re looking for a Stories Officer to join our External Affairs team. In this role, you will help bring the experiences of people affected by debt to life, working with clients and colleagues to create authentic, impactful stories for campaigns, media, events and public communications.
What you’ll be doing
As Stories Officer, you will take ownership of StepChange’s storytelling function, working directly with clients and internal teams to ensure stories are delivered ethically, effectively, and in line with organisational objectives.
You’ll develop and maintain processes for sourcing, sharing, and managing client stories, balancing creativity with safeguarding and data protection requirements. You’ll work closely with colleagues across media, marketing, campaigns, partnerships, policy, research, and public affairs to deliver stories that meet their needs and help StepChange communicate with impact.
From interviewing clients with lived experience to co-creating materials for campaigns and public events, you’ll ensure every story is told safely, respectfully, and authentically. You’ll also help identify new storytelling opportunities.
This role is at the heart of StepChange’s External Affairs work. You’ll collaborate with a wide range of colleagues, manage ethical and safeguarding responsibilities, and help build a consistent, trusted approach to client storytelling across the charity.
About you
We’re looking for someone with experience in storytelling or content management within a charity or equivalent organisation. You’ll have hands-on experience engaging with people with lived experience and translating their stories into clear, compelling narratives.
Confident working with internal stakeholders, you’ll be able to manage multiple priorities, deliver stories that meet team needs, and maintain strong professional relationships across the charity. You’ll have a keen understanding of safeguarding, data protection, and ethical storytelling, ensuring that clients are always supported and respected.
You’ll be proactive, organised, and adaptable, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. A passion for storytelling and an interest in the debt advice sector will help you succeed and make a meaningful impact in this role.
