Role Requirements

• Responsible for the collection and delivery of donated goods to the required location within agreed timescales and to agreed targets.
• To provide delivery and collection service to external stock generation sites through Donation Stations.
• To undertake bag drops and collections as required.
• To maintain strict control of security of all goods collected, transported and delivered.
• To ensure minimum losses are incurred on goods and furniture by the careful and respectful handling of all such items.
• Role will involve a large amount of heavy lifting in picking up and moving stock including furniture.
• To support maintenance of multi-site storage of stock belonging to The Children’s Trust
• Transportation of rubbish and unwanted items to recycling centre or refuse site as appropriate.
• To ensure customer care and quality of service.
• To act as the representative of The Children’s Trust in the collection from and delivery to customers of donated goods and furniture.
• To liaise with shop managers over the movement of stock between shops as directed by the Retail Operations Manager.

About the role

This role sits within Women and Girls Network’s CJS Team and provides rapid, short-term advocacy and support to survivors, in London, who have experienced sexual violence and are engaging with, or considering engaging with, the criminal justice system.

You will deliver brief, trauma-informed and survivor-centred support to people who are unable to access an ISVA locally or who are waiting for support through the London Survivors Gateway. Working across the Gateway partnership - including Rape Crisis Centres, Galop, Survivors UK, Respond, and the Havens - you will help ensure survivors receive timely, independent information and advocacy at a critical point.

As this is a pilot role, you will also play a key part in shaping and developing this specialist brief intervention ISVA provision in response to survivor need.

Job description

As the Brief Intervention Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA), you will:

• Provide rapid, short-term independent advocacy, information and support to survivors navigating or considering the criminal justice system, enabling informed choice and access to rights.
• Deliver empowering, trauma-informed and intersectional support, including risk and needs assessments, safety planning and tailored action planning.
• Offer clear, impartial information about reporting options, the criminal justice process, survivors’ rights under the Victims’ Code, and available legal and compensation routes.
• Advocate on survivors’ behalf with police and criminal justice agencies, and support attendance at police stations or court where required.
• Work within strict safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries, ensuring survivor safety and wellbeing remain central at all times.
• Develop and pilot a brief intervention ISVA model, contributing to service design, case management systems and best practice alongside the CJS Team Manager and Gateway partners.
• Build strong working relationships across the London Survivors Gateway partnership to strengthen pathways and improve access to timely support.
• Maintain accurate case records, monitoring and evaluation data, and engage in supervision, reflective practice and continuous professional development.
• Model WGN’s feminist, trauma-informed and anti-oppressive approach, contributing to a collaborative team culture and high-quality service delivery.

Role purpose

About the Role

The role

As a Trainer at Cruse Bereavement Support, you will play a key role in delivering and developing training for external organisations. You will equip employees, volunteers, and other stakeholders with the knowledge and skills to support bereaved individuals, including clients, employees, or community members.

You will deliver both scheduled and bespoke training sessions, adapting content to meet the needs of diverse audiences while maintaining alignment with Cruse’s values, safeguarding standards, and equality, diversity, and inclusion principles. Responsible for a group of young people, for one-on-one support and guidance or just gently pointing them in the right direction. You'll be on a mission to assist with travel expenses and find clever ways to handle their other commitments. You'll champion their support and learning needs with employers, and you'll be the ultimate liaison, working alongside partners like the job centre to ensure that nothing stands in the way of their success!

You’ll also be the guiding light for our delivery partners and service providers as we want them to deliver the best experience and outcomes for our young people. High-fives all around! Roll up your sleeves and deliver employability sessions directly to our incredible young people. You'll also help our Delivery Partners and volunteers do the same, both in person and virtually through our trusty MS Teams. When we're doing things face-to-face, you’ll need to hit the road and be there in person to help with programme delivery or programme visits to make sure all is running as smoothly as possible.

And if that’s not enough to keep you busy, you’ll also be keeping meticulous records of information and data on our young people, volunteers, and partners. It's all about making sure every step of their journey is accurately reflected in our systems so that it complies with our funding contracts.

BGCI is seeking to appoint a person interested in a job-share but with the potential to go to full-time if desired. Candidates for this post will have a proven track record working for a conservation or scientific organisation, preferably in plant conservation. We are looking for some someone who has:

• A CIPD qualification/currently studying towards a CIPD qualification or demonstrable equivalent ER experience.
• Demonstrable experience providing advice to managers and staff on HR related matters.
• Strong knowledge of ER case work, current employment law and HR best practice.
• Ability to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders with an ability to be sensitive, diplomatic and tactful when required.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Sister Circle team and lead our contribution to a newly formed partnership to deliver integrated, trauma-informed, culturally attuned support to minoritised women survivors of domestic abuse who are accessing or have accessed safe accommodation across London.

Sister Circle is a women-led charity with 45 years' experience of advancing health equity and justice for women from diverse communities. Rooted in our local communities, we work to ensure women and families receive compassionate, accessible and culturally informed support.

We are grounded in lived experience with the shared belief that every woman deserves to feel safe, heard and supported.

The Role

As the Project Manager, you will lead Sister Circle’s Healing Conversations Programme contribution to the SafeRoots DASA Partnership. The role has three deliverables: Providing trauma counselling, peer support for pregnancy/baby loss and birth trauma and our Women’s Conversation Cafe sessions, as part of a wider support offer through our SafeRoots Partnership (funded by MOPAC/DASA). 

We would love to hear from you if:

• you bring proven project management experience and a deep understanding of gender‑based violence and trauma recovery.  
• can contribute confidently and compassionately to our trauma‑informed and survivor‑centred practice.
• you will ensure women experiencing domestic abuse and other forms of trauma, are met with dignity, understanding and culturally attuned care throughout their healing journey whilst living in safe accommodations.
