This is a brand new leadership role at a pivotal moment for the Greyhound Trust.

We’re creating a new team, with a new remit, to take on a new challenge: driving our work across brand, income generation, marketing, communications and engagement so that more greyhounds can be supported, homed and championed.

As Head of Marketing, Communications and Income Generation, you’ll build and lead a compact, hands-on, multi-disciplinary team, bringing together specialist skills and embedding genuinely integrated, collaborative ways of working. This role will suit someone who enjoys shaping teams as much as shaping strategy — and who is excited by the opportunity to create something from the ground up.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you’ll be a key member of the senior management team, contributing to the organisation’s strategic development, long-term planning and operational effectiveness. You’ll work as part of a highly motivated, close-knit leadership group based at the National Greyhound Centre in Horley, Surrey, where collaboration, mutual support and shared accountability really matter.

Alongside leading the Trust’s brand, marketing and income generation activity, you will also develop and manage our wholly owned trading subsidiary, Greyhound Events Ltd — ensuring it grows sustainably and plays a meaningful role in both income generation and supporter engagement. You’ll see events not just as fundraisers, but as powerful opportunities to build relationships, tell our story and bring new audiences closer to our cause.

You’ll be responsible for creating and delivering an integrated brand, marketing and income generation strategy, grounded in audience insight and sector best practice, and flexible enough to evolve as we grow. From individual giving and digital campaigns to partnerships, events and retail, you’ll oversee a diverse income portfolio while ensuring supporters and volunteers have a consistently positive experience with the Greyhound Trust.

Role Purpose

We are seeking an experienced Trusts & Foundations Fundraiser to cover maternity leave. This is a hands-on and strategic role, offering the chance to lead our fundraising from trusts, foundations, and charitable funders during a key period of growth.

You will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting high-quality funding applications, building and maintaining relationships with existing and developing new funders, and ensuring that our supporter communications reflect our mission and impact. As a core member of our small, passionate team, you will also support wider fundraising and communications activities to help grow the organisation’s reach and income

Key Responsibilities

Trusts & Foundations Fundraising

· Lead all trust and foundation fundraising activity, delivering income in line with agreed targets.

· Identify, research, and cultivate new funding opportunities.

· Write compelling, high-quality applications and cases for support.

· Maintain accurate fundraising records, tracking pipeline, progress, and outcomes.

· Manage relationships with funders, ensuring excellent donor care and timely reporting.

Impact & Storytelling

· Work with our Programme Manager to collect, curate, and present impact data and stories from programmes to support funding applications.

· Work closely with the CEO and Programme Manager to demonstrate the impact of our work.

· Ensure all communications with funders reflect the organisation’s mission, values, and impact.

Collaboration & Wider Fundraising Support

· Work collaboratively with the wider fundraising and communications team to align strategies and maximise opportunities.

Skills & Experience

Essential

· Proven experience in trusts and foundations fundraising or similar fundraising role, ideally in the charity sector.

· Proven ability to secure grants in excess of £30,000 and multi-year funding.

· Excellent writing, storytelling, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate impact into compelling applications.

· Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines independently.

· Strong interpersonal skills, confident in building relationships with funders and stakeholders.

· Analytical mindset, with experience maintaining accurate databases and using insight to inform activity.

Desirable

· Experience supporting wider fundraising, communications, or digital campaigns.

· Understanding of the health, wellbeing, or cancer charity sector.

Caxton Youth Organisation:  

Caxton Youth Organisation is the only specialist youth club of its kind for learning disabled and autistic young people in Westminster aged 11 to 25. There is nowhere quite like Caxton Youth Club; that’s what the young people we work with and their families tell us, and we passionately believe it too. 

Caxton has been around for 77 years, quite something for a small but mighty charity, and our longevity says so much about the importance of the services we provide to ensure young people with disabilities in Westminster are able to advance in their personal development, develop a sense of belonging in our community, and lead independent and fulfilling lives. 

The majority of our work is delivered at our dedicated youth club in South Westminster. Our youth work team focus on young people’s social and emotional wellbeing, independence, employability, creating community and opportunities, social action and health & getting active. All these topics are explored during weekly youth club sessions which take place in the evenings, and young people are supported to attend thanks to our very own Caxton minibus which collects and drops participants home across the borough. During school holidays we run trips, including residential trips, giving our members the opportunity to experience life outside London, and parents and caregivers some much needed respite.

As a senior community fundraiser, you’ll will an important part of the team building Breast Cancer Now’s presence in Wales, with a particular focus on South Wales.

The successful candidate will also be part of the team working on our large-scale project supporting and growing Asda Tickled Pink, our award-winning partnership with Asda and CoppaFeel! which has already raised over £100 million.

You’ll work directly with passionate colleagues across Asda stores in your region driving new fundraising initiatives, inspiring communities, and celebrating their incredible successes.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Marketing & Communications Delivery

• Develop overall data management structure of supporter records and processes.  Develop and maintain information management structures in the CRM system to enable accurate and timely information and reporting.
• Adhere to data protection legislation ensuring the way we gather, record and use data is compliant with latest policies, working closely with the Data Protection Officer.
• Handle all enquiries received through the CRM system, providing timely and appropriate responses.

• Generate reports and analytics from the CRM system to track and measure key metrics.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Trust Fundraising Support Officer to join our growing fundraising team. 2025 was our best year yet for income and this role is pivotal in helping us to take the next step in further growing our income.​

This new role will play a key part in delivering funding from Trusts, Foundations and other Funders across the UK, supporting the Senior Trust Fundraising Officer to maximise our income. • Secure income from small-scale charitable Trusts, Foundations, and other Grant Makers to meet individual and team targets.
• Ensure timely thanking, updates and reporting for all Grants and Donations from our rolling programme of applications.
• Use data in the CRM to analyse trends and identify opportunities.​

At Epilepsy Action, we recognise the power of collaboration and teamwork, so our team members with hybrid contracts can expect to work a minimum of 40% at our office in Leeds. On average this is 2 days a week, normally on Mondays and Thursdays, for full-time employees. The expectation to collaborate face-to-face is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do which may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to help us create a world without limits for people with epilepsy.

The postholder is not expected to be an expert in every aspect of charity management. Role Purpose

This maternity cover role is for a strategic and hands-on Digital Communications & Marketing Lead to take ownership of our digital presence, storytelling and supporter communications, with a strong focus on driving  growth in engagement and income through digital channels.

You will lead the planning and delivery of digital communications and marketing activity, ensuring consistent, compelling messaging across all platforms. You will design and deliver integrated digital campaigns that grow awareness, engagement, participation and fundraising income.

This is a hands on role and you will be the organisation’s main digital specialist during this period, working closely with the CEO and wider team.

Key Responsibilities

Digital Communications & Marketing Strategy

• Lead the development and delivery of digital communications and marketing activity that supports organisational goals, fundraising targets and brand growth.

• Plan and deliver integrated, multi-channel campaigns across website, email and social media.

• Ensure a consistent, engaging brand voice across all digital touchpoints.

Content, Storytelling & Channel Management

• Own and manage all digital channels, including social media, website and email marketing.

• Create, schedule and manage engaging written, visual and video content to support campaigns, events and fundraising.

• Promote events and fundraising activity online to maximise reach and participation.

• Design and curate digital and print assets including campaign graphics, reels, posters, flyers and web imagery.

Digital Fundraising Campaigns & Income Generation

Skills & Experience

Essential

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in digital communications, digital marketing or digital fundraising in the charity sector. Demonstrable evidence of leadership and impactful delivery.

• Confident using WordPress, social media platforms, Canva, Mailchimp, fundraising platforms and Beacon CRM.

• Proven experience delivering successful digital campaigns that drive engagement and income.

• Strong content creation skills across written, visual and video formats.

• Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills.

• Comfortable working independently within a small team.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to improve performance.

• Ability to travel to Huddersfield for in-person team days (2 per month).

The Role
To act as the first point of contact for our community fundraisers. This includes but is not limited to, recruiting community supporters, responding to enquiries and providing support and advice in relation to supporting the hospice.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with community groups, schools, clubs and local businesses.
Identify and develop new community fundraising opportunities within the hospice catchment area.
To utilise Raisers Edge database to record and track donor interactions.
Organise and deliver, if applicable, presentations and meetings to promote the hospices mission and opportunities for collaboration.
